Hands down, this was THE BEST experience I have ever had at any hotel! Every aspect of our stay was perfect and beyond expectations - I genuinely mean every word of it! The room was very comfortable in every way and we enjoyed a great view of the beach. The cleaning staff made sure the room was immaculate on a daily basis. I was very impressed by ALL of the staff within the hotel - especially my three favorite people Ansar (at the concierge), Leema (at the reception) and Ravi (Dining staff) - all three went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and that we had a good time. I admire the passion they showed towards their work and par excellence service towards their guests. I was sad to leave, but hopefully I will have a chance to visit again soon! Thanks to all the staff at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort!

We used to live in Dubai and we are familiar with all of the large 5* hotels along the beach and inland, but we had never used the Westin. So we thought this would be a good choice for the holiday. The whole experience was great with just a few minor negative points. I have to say when I read some of the negative reviews on TA I couldn't believe how petty some of them were, so I decided to ignore them. So lets start with the few negatives. The view out to sea is spoiled by the construction work on the new marina. However the hotel cannot help this and knowing the Dubai authorities the hotel would have no say whatsoever. Inside the hotel there was some work going on to extend one of the restaurants and was from time to time a little noisy but we were notified about this during booking so no problem. City view rooms can be a little noisy due to the traffic, but again the hotel can't stop the cars using roads! Lastly we opted to take the Exec Lounge deal which was good value if you use it everyday, but I think allowing small children in is a mistake and the hotel should exclude under 16's. Now lets get to the positives. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were superb - every single one of them. Check in was fast and our bags were in the room waiting when we went in. The rooms are large and spacious and we had the king bed. The cleaning staff kept everything immaculate and well stocked with bottled water for our personal use. We took advantage of the 'green' option for a couple of days where they give you 22 dhs each night you opt for this to spent in the hotel or take as points if you are a Marriott member. The reception / lobby area was nice with its own little coffee bar. We took the half board option when we booked and we had the choice of around 4 internal restaurants if you include the Last Recipe in the Mina sister hotel which is a buffet. Note that half board will restrict your choice in the restaurants as not all menu items are available. There are other eateries to use but there was a small fee on top of your half board price of around 100-120 Dhs each. When we were there Marriott had launched the 'Bonvoy' scheme which if you were a member entitled you to 30% off food and drink. I particularly enjoyed the Thai Spice as I like Thai / Asian food. There were bars inside which were used by non residents also as they offered themed nights and drinks offers. Usually there was some entertainment thrown in and it created a good enjoyable atmosphere. The drinks were on the expensive side, but they are in general across Dubai. The pools, lawns and beach area were great if you wanted a change. All were cleaned and serviced by bar staff continuously checking if you needed anything. Free ice juice shots were provided twice daily. In summary a great holiday in an excellent hotel with only a few minor gripes. Will definitely return.

This was out 4th time staying in Dubai. We have previously stayed at the Arabian Summer houses at the Dar Al Masyaf and the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. We chose the Westin because we had a good choice of restaurants on the dine around option between this and the sister hotel and the Club lounge had alcohol choices between 12 noon and 8pm. Which meant we could have a couple of glasses of wine with lunch them a couple of proseccos before going for dinner. Most Executive Club lounges have drinks between 6 and 8pm when we are getting ready to go out. We arrived after an overnight flight from Glasgow and our room was ready for us within half an hour. The reception staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely big room with 2 double beds and huge bathroom with a balcony overlooking the beach and pools. It also overlooked the construction just off shore, but we knew about this before booking, so it didn't bother us - no noise at all. We ate at the Spice Emporium on the Monday night, which had the Bankock street food market set up indoors. The food was delicious and the white wine was lovely - Upside Down Sauvingnon Blanc - about £15 a glass. After dinner we took a walk along to Barasti Bar. This is basically a large warehouse with a massive TV screen. We just missed the live music playing. Lots of smokers too. We didn't like it, so went back to Oeno wine bar in the hotel, which had a deal on - 100 dirham for 4 glasses of sparkling wine. Nice atmosphere too. We ate breakfast and lunch in the Executive Club Lounge and the food was lovely and the service was fantastic - especially Marie Rose who was always smiling.. You helped yourself to wine, prosecco, beer and spirits, but on our last day they changed this to waitress service only - not sure why. We saw a few families having dinner there in the evening, but we like to go to different places for dinner. We took the free shuttle to Mall of Emirates - which took about 45min as it goes round all the other hotels. We got a taxi back for about £6 and it took us 10 minutes. On the Tuesday night we had a table in Asia De Cuba. This was ladies night and you got free sparkling wine, wine or a choice of 2 cocktails. It has a very upbeat atmosphere and there is A DJ in Bar Rumba above the restaurant. We enjoyed our night here but he food wasn't as good as the night before. All, they tried to charge us for the food, but I explained that we were on the dine around option, so we had a night of food and drink at no extra charge. Wednesday we went to the Spanish restaurant El Sur. We had a lovely meal here and it is a very nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. I asked for a glass of Upside Down wine, but they didn't have it - so the waiter went along to the Spice Emporium to get it for me - great service. Overall we had a great time at this hotel. The staff were probably the friendliest we have come across. Its not as beautiful a hotel as the Zabeel Saray, nor as upmarket as the Dar Al Masyaf - but I wouldn't hesitate to return to it.

Just returned from a fantastic 4 nights at this hotel. Our room was spotless and overlooking the ocean. Housekeeping and turn down service were great and bottles of water were provided each time the room was serviced which was appreciated. Super comfortable beds. The food at the hotel restaurants was fantastic and full of flavour. The breakfast buffet had a vast array of options for everyone, and the options changed to provide variety. The swimming pool area was great - there's an adults only section which made it very relaxing. Plenty of sun lounges and space in the pool for everyone (although it was low season so that helped). You can order food/drinks from the pool area and staff came around to offer cold towels which was much needed in such hot and humid weather. Drinks are expensive, but that's Dubai. The cocktails from the swim up bar were delicious. Above all though was the welcoming and friendly staff. In particular the man who was serving drinks around the sun lounges, who always had a smile on his face despite working outside all day in 39 degree heat and always greeted me by name (and now I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten his name!) But all staff from check in to check out were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

I had a great one night at The Westin Dubai Hotel. It was a good experience and I’m glad that I chose this hotel. The Deluxe Room was really nice with sea view. Size of the room is perfect. The bathroom is clean and well designed, I would like to thank them for building a door for the toilet! Because many hotels ignore the privacy point for the bathroom! The overall experience is great and I think I’ll choose to stay at this hotel again if I had the chance. I want to end this review by thinking the F.O “Sam” for the great service. I really appreciate kindness and good hospitality.
