Matin Abad Eco- Resort & Organic Farm, Iran is one of 18 best practices in sustainable (Eco) tourism initiated by governments, NGOs, and private sectors, in developing countries, including SIDS, with potentials for replication elsewhere. The best practices were collected and analyzed by four main criteria: Conservation, Community, Culture, and Commerce, initiated by The Zeitz Foundation, the main pillars of sustainable (eco) tourism. Matin Abad Eco- Resort & Organic Farm was established in 2008. The group of experts in tourism and naturalists want to provide the tourists with an opportunity for an experience and adventures close to the nature. In the company of seasoned naturalists, tourists will experience treks with camel ride or walk; they can ride bikes through waves of sand and mountain valleys, and can even enjoy desert walks in the beautiful star-lit nights. Located between the sand dunes and vast semiarid grass-covered plain is the camp with modern facilities.
Best location to stay with comfort and also experience the desert environment, the camp has a restaurant, coffee shop, and other facilities for a 1-2 days entertainment and relaxation. Personnel are welcoming and showers are very clean. For a short stay, I would recommend arriving before the dark (after 5pm) and leaving before noon the next day. The main rooms are very nice but the tents are also very clean. You have to have good sleeping bags as it can get cold at night.

The quality and taste of the food was extremely delicious Camel riding and walking around the desert was enjoyable My children enjoyed seeing pets such as turkeys, camels, dogs and sheep Sleep facilities were poor. In general, I enjoyed the two-day trip.

We have been one night on 20 January (Daygan traditional celebration) and we were three families in this trip. We did not observed any Daygan celebration except two hours traditional music performance in restaurant. Food in dinner was tasteless and low quality , breakfast was middle-level but rooms is very clean with proper utilities. We went to sandy hills in Kavir dessert safari with stagecoach, this activity was good experience and enjoyable

It was the 6th time since 7 years ago that we went to this eco camp. Reservation was awful, food was really untasty. The operation was not professional. And finally they took money for what we didn't drink in restaurant and never took it back!!!! Even I follow up a lot and they did not return the money.

I've visited the Eco-camp several times. Each time I have experienced the convenience of the resort, food, service, so forth. For the Covid-19 time, I recommend Matinabad to those seeking a good place to stay.

Well you really should try this one. Clean rooms. Variety of rooms from traditional "koomeh" to usual hotel rooms. The food ia just great. Polite and warm-blood staff, which almost all of them born nearby. Just 3:30 hour from tehran and 45 minutes from kashan. Architecture is unbelivebale. And on top of all, the fire and the sky will make it the best eco-camp that I ever been to.

Although the decoration was traditional the clearness of the rooms was amazingm. The good thing is there was an special place for camp fire where you can enjoy night. The "Goshvare" room was the best room providing enough space for at least 5 people.

Very nice place. Really unique. Calm staffs and clean but simple rooms. We also tested single camping rooms and tents. The atmosphere was a comfort experience of being inside desert. We back to this place soon.
