Tak Taku is a recently renovated, heritage listed guesthouse in the tiny village of Toudeshk Cho. It is surrounded by mud brick homes, near a beautiful mosque and a very old Haman, about an hour away from Esfahan on the way to Yazd. Tak Taku is family run. The guesthouse offers breakfast, lunch and dinner in traditional home cooked Iranian style. Rooms are available with own or shared bathroom. The rooms are surrounding a beautiful courtyard with fountain, offering a family room, open communal area with a small library and wifi. Iranian benches are also offering places to enjoy the peace and quiet of this area. Mohammad the owner can help with bus tickets, organise trips to the desert, camel riding, Gavkhuni Salt Lake Trip, and camping in the sands in the appropriate season. Bikes are available to ride in and around the village. Being 2100m above sea level the climate is more moderate and star gazing exceptional. Tak Taku is the place to experience a true Iranian family lifestyle in a beautiful authentic courtyard guesthouse for people who want a more personal experience.

A beautiful guest house located in the desert between Esfahan and Yazd. The place is ran by Mohammed and his lovely family and they make you feel welcomed and at home from the very first moment. Several avtivities such as sleeping under the bare sky in the desert are also offered. I hade the pleasure of staying with Mohammed for four days and it was in the end hard to leave. I am looking forward to my next visit at Tak Taku and I sincerely recommend this place. An absolut must if you are in this area.

Wauw, what a gem. Traditional house fully restored. Very welcoming host who speaks fluent English and happy to share all his local knowledge. If you want to meet other travellers or just need a few day's rest this is the place to be. Also for campers and or landing vehicles.

Mohammad contacted us on IG, his home is absolutely amazing. This guy is really helpful, we had great food made by his mom. We did laundry, professional call thanks to great wifi. Depends on your budget but you can a room with bed, stay outside or inside in lobby : all are great. He told us it’s also possible to store vehicule for a long time period. Plenty of activities possible like desert camping or stars watching. Do not hesitate : go there.

It's a very beautiful place and Mohammad ist a great hostnand tour guide. We stayed at home the whole afternoon because it's such an oasis. He organised a birthday cake for my girlfriend and we had a lovely evening with the other guests. The desert camping was also great! Our highlight in Iran so far.

Host Mohammad upgraded his house with space for staying of overlanders. Extremely dedicated to every guest. Immaculate state of this building, nowhere to be found in this region. You pay for quality, in contrast to guesthouses in the neighboring area which are worn down and neglected.

We stayed at Tak taku for a long week end. We will never forget these few days spent with Mohammad who was extremely welcoming. He took us to see all the incredible places in the region: the great sand dunes, the salted lakes, the old caravanserails, endless landscapes where we felt so small... and he captivated old and young with the history of these sites. We slept one night in the desert and enjoyed the amazing sunset, sunrise and the shooting stars. Cherry on the cake: Mohammad had all the necessary equipment (tents, sleeping bags etc.) and the BBQ was delicious. On the last night, his family came in the beautifully renovated guesthouse and we had a traditional meal together in a very friendly atmosphere. Our kids enjoyed Mohammad so much; he was very patient and playful with them and even took them all around the village on his motorbike. Thank you so much again Mohammad. Looking forward to the next time
