The Joudyan Jeddah Red Sea Mall hotel garners mixed feedback, with its prime location often lauded for easy access to shopping and local attractions. While the hotel's cleanliness and stylish atmosphere receive commendations, opinions diverge on the value, with some guests finding it overpriced despite recent refurbishments. Room experiences vary, with praise for modernity but concerns over size and noise.
The amenities, including a highly regarded gym, are popular, though service speeds can disappoint. Guests have called out the dedicated staff, despite occasional service inconsistencies.

I’m supposed to check in at 4 yet was delayed until 6:30 with promises that (I will get my room in so and so minutes) while expecting me to be patient and appreciative when my room was almost ready. The amenities in the room were set for 1 person when I checked in for 2, when I asked for more towels, toothbrush and cups the brought them in batches and kept asking if that was all I needed. By the the time the third batch came in and was incomplete I stopped asking. I left the room at 10 am and came back at 3:30 pm and my room was not touched. When I called Guest Services to inquire when it will be cleaned the lady who answered asked me if I requested to be cleaned and that she doesn’t know the schedule of the House Keeping cleaning and maybe I was the last in line. And when I ask about their manager who they refuse to give me his number so he’s not bothered by guests, the answer is he’s on his break :) They might have just finished renovating the hotel but I wish they had spent some time training their staff. Spending my 2 days in Jeddah in Joudyan was a bad decision.
I noticed now that their responses to guest reviews are as low as their attention to serving them while staying in.

+1
I chose this hotel and decided to go with the premium price because the gym looked good on the photos, for me that is worth paying for. Unfortunately I was disappointed, it is more like an upper body workout home gym (no squat rack, no leg press, no hamstring curls, calf machine etc). The only lower equipment is a leg extension machine, so if you are also looking at the gym thinking it's good, I would re-evalute that assessment, or come prepared to substitute in the bench and dumbbells only with bulgarian squats etc. The handles on the machines are also nasty, they are all worn and sticky. Another frustration, the DB are in lbs and the plates in kg. Weirdly the machines have their plates labeled in lbs on both the left and right side, usually they state both lbs and kg, so it took me some time to figure out what the deal was with everything. On the plus side at least it's not filled with 16 treadmills like most hotel gyms.
I thought in general the place was just ok, which made it quite overpriced. Breakfast was maybe 7/10 but I expected more for the price, also the tables and chairs are quite uncomfortable & crowded with too many plates and mugs and water bottles and napkins and condiments and glasses ... I had to move everything to the other side of the table to eat comfortably. Fortunately I was alone, a party of 4 would struggle to sit on one table.
The room again was just ok, nothing special, I had a view of the mall which also made the room noisey with the hum of the mall aircon and ductwork right outside the window. Although I didn't ask to change room so it couldn't have been that bad, but if you're sensitive to it, you will get annoyed pretty quickly.
What did annoy me though was being bothered all the time by housekeeping or room service. Everyday they would call very late in the evening, just to ask if I wanted anything. I unplugged the phone in the end. Ditto with housekeeping, they would ring the doorbell very late (one time at 9:30 pm when I was already asleep). After that I set the do-not disturb light on all the time as well as unplugging the phones.
There was one very helpful Filipino guy hanging around reception though, I think in the concierge, he helped me plan my walk to the New Jeddah Cornish.
The only real benefit of this hotel apart from the Pinoy concierge is the location. About 25 minutes from the airport, 15 from the Saudi German Hospital, a 6 mile round trip walk along the coast to the New Corniche, and direct access to the Red Sea Mall which had everything I needed and more for a short 3 night stay. If you're into shopping then I suppose it would be worth it, but for me it was just somewhere cool to walk when I needed a break.
I wouldn't stay here again unless they lowered the price to 1/2 or at a push 2/3 what they're currently charging.

Worst customer service ever, a place filled with such an inexperienced personnel. I ordered food first day from outside restaurant and they refused the driver or themselves to deliver the food, they said bring it yourself, they say you signed a paper which is a policy saying it's not allowed to bring food up to customers, I told them to show me the policy and it says "food safety: we do not RECOMMEND you bring food from outside due to food safety" that's not a policy, this is an advise which I don't want from you
Hot water in the room comes after 10 min and they tell me it's how it is
Valet parking, I told them to bring my car down , i came down waited for 10 min asking for my car and told me sorry we will bring it now
And the lady in reception doesn't look me in the eye playing with het phone while apologizing
I swear I will never go back and I highly don't recommend it

Checkin in late for one night to attend an important meeting.. i Asked for a late checkout and take the breakfast (Ramadhan time) at the hotel and my request was denied and they asked for a half day payment.. I paid for a half day and the insisted for me to leave at 6pm while I invited 2 of my friends to have the breakfast at the hotel's restaurant where Maghrib orayer was at 6.38pm.. noting that I have requested to make up the room at 12pm and returned back to my room at 5.15pm and no one cleaned the room, so, I was supposed to believe that someone will make up the room during Ramadhan at 6pm for the next quest!!!! It was one of my most terrible experience and the hotel is classified 5 stars! Real disappointment, I will reconsider staying again despite being very close to my office.

The hotel is very wonderful and their treatment is upscale. All the employees, including Mr. Muhammad Al-Attas, the lifeguard at the pool, are very polite and deal especially with children. The cleaners and receptionists are very wonderful and provided us with all the comforts of mattresses, cleaning, water, coffee capsules and entry cards.

The hotel's location is great and the parking service is great. Guest relations service is respectful, either meeting the customer's requests or apologizing for not being able to meet his requests, but he is not suspended in the hope of responding to his requests. The room cleaning service needs more attention to cleanliness, especially around or under the bed or around the windows or... The wall and some of the walls have traces of a drink spilled on them. The service room does not have hot water, as it is difficult for some people to shower with cold water.
Room insulation is very weak, especially in connected rooms
Sometimes it is difficult to sleep because of the sound of the television from the next room.

We had a fantastic stay at Joudyan Jeddah Red Sea Mall! The hotel is conveniently located with direct access to the mall, making it an ideal choice for families. You can relax knowing everyone will have something to enjoy—shopping, dining, or just spending time together.
The rooms are spacious, with incredible lighting that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. I recommend choosing a sea view room, as the view from the other side is not as appealing. The seating area around the pool is also very relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a busy day.
Breakfast was simple but delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs. They even managed to bring us our special milk request from a nearby supermarket within 10 minutes—exceptional service!
I honestly can’t find anything to complain about. This hotel offers a combination of comfort, convenience, and great hospitality that makes it a perfect choice in Jeddah. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Jeddah!
