I have been in this very cheap hotel couple of times for business reasons. It has a strategic location in down town. Very dirty and old. Towels are smelly and unclean. The minute you go into the room a heavy smell of moisture and smoke fills your nose. Staff is ok but food is bad. Used to be good for... More

This is the first time staying in Jeddah when I did not accumulate points at one of the major chains. The rate at the Sands was great as the cost is Jeddah is usually quite high. One of the best benefits of staying here is the location which has numerous Malls, Supermarkets and all types of Cuisine. The hotel staff... More

Well the rooms are very old and filled with humidity. You cannot feel that comfortable sleeping there but what makes it a good hotel is 1) the open buffet that serves some really good lebanese food and stews.. 2) its location. It is excellent.. so many good restaurants around it "Paul, Sands sandwiches, labeeb, danube, sub way, barber shops, mobile... More

Good service and room, but quite old. Close to danube supermarket, mais ny restaurant and phone shop. Very good ratio quality price. The breakfast is ok but not fantastic. The paul restaurant close to the hotel is better The lounge inside the hotel is very classic

I will give the hotel an average rating since it has very normal service and fits the fees for a room. The positive thing is its location. The bad thing is that the hotel needs heavily a renovation. The breakfast is poor and does not deserve its charges.

I have been here three times for business and no effort is done to improve this lib sense style hotel. Honestly, you should go elsewhere because of the old style, poor clean rooms, and under average restaurant. It's advantage are nice people of central location. And it's all... The AC is noisy land out of age.

The price and location are the two selling points for this place. Situated close to Tahlia street it is in a good location, but the rooms are disappointing. Mine smelt of smoke, the curtains were dirty, AC was noisy and hard to adjust the fan speed, bathroom was old and tired, and there was no kettle in the room. I... More

It's a excellent choice, if you are going to Jeddah for work. Nice staff, great pool and good gym right across the street, free for hotel guest. Wonderful location, with supermarket and restaurants nearby and you cannot miss Sands Hotel's chicken shoarma, the best in town.

I don't want to waste my time and yours by repeating everything that has already been said. Yes, it's old, but it's well kept. The metallic elevators are fine by the way. You are not paying for elevators. The room decor and wood paneling is a bit of a time warp once you step in it, but the place is... More
