We have been here a few days and this little villa is perfect. If you are looking for mid range price hotel, this is the one. The rooms are immaculately clean and the staff very helpful. The location is ideal, with great restaurants in walking distance. Love this place.
I stay here every year in Luang Prabang but obviously had to cancel this year 2020. They offer airport pickup; arriving at the hotel is like coming home! I feel so tranquil and taken care of!! Rooms are cool, clean, tastefully decorated and just lovely! Will return ASAP!!
I really liked Lotus Villa! The staff is great, the building and rooms are really nice, and the location can't be beat. I liked that it was in the best part of the historic district, but not right on the main street, so it is quiet. The attractive wood-paneled room had a comfortable bed and was well equipped but not luxurious. The breakfast wasn't a buffet, but the guests can order as many items as they like off the menu and I basically had the whole menu every morning! It was filling and delicious. One morning I got up early and watched the monks come by with their bowls right in front of the hotel. My room didn't have a TV, which might be an issue for some visitors, but I didn't care. In fact I think it added to the charm. A general observation: After spending five days in Luang Prabang I was really happy I stayed in the historic district because the rest of the city is pleasant but not nearly as charming as the historic district itself. So I would recommend that anyone…
The Lotus Villa Boutique Hotel is sweet little hotel off the main street. There isn’t a pool and it’s a little more of a traditional style hotel. It’s very clean and charming and the breakfasts were very good. We recommend staying in a second-floor room at the back of the hotel (not street facing). The views are better from this side and these rooms have a lot of light. The staff at the Lotus Villa are quite pleasant and fun to talk with. Across the road is Popolo, an Italian restaurant with some very tasty food, and just a few blocks away is the terrific Tamarind that serves a very delicious vegan tasting menu (reserve a table outside on the deck). Also, be sure to check out the boutique Ock Pop Tok located about a block from the hotel. This is a female driven weaving co-op that has beautiful fabrics and they offer a free shuttle to their local Living Crafts Center.…
This was our second stay at Lotus Villa. It is conveniently located about a 5minute walk to the town center. Located in a very attractive and quiet neighborhood about 5 minute walk to the Mekong River in the other direction. The staff is very helpful and the morning breakfast is a delight and served outside in a tropical setting. The complementary breakfast offering off a menu is extensive. Our room was very comfortable and had outside chairs in a shaded porch overlooking the garden. Hotel is about a 20 minute ride from the airport. Definitely look forward to another visit to Lotus Villa.
Patrimonial boutique hôtel in the middle of a lush garden. Beautiful, confortable and well located place. Exquisite breakfast with a local special everyday in addition to western ones. Staff very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend it and wish to go back again.
I really love my stay at Lotus Villa - everything from the great vibes, friendly helpful staff, easy location and yummy breakfast food. Thank you for the very delightful experience(; The small and cozy environment is especially lovely
Just stayed three nights in this very comfortable hotel. My suite had a large double bed with premium bed linen, a rather spartan sitting area with a nice balcony, a bath and a shower. The luxury was spoilt a little by glugging noises from the sanitation system but everything worked. As a Westerner you do have to learn how to use the shower taps which turn In Opposite directions. Breakfast, served in the tropical garden, offered French tropical lights such as French toast with honey and cinnamon, excellent Lao coffee, and a plate of lush sliced fruit. Location is good - near the riverside restaurant on the Mekong and the cafes on Nam Khan, and L’Elephant classic European food at luxury prices. The famous night market is a short and easy walk. Service was quietly excellent. I would happily stay here again…
Cosy villa with atmosphere located in the old part of LP close to the river. Inner rooms on the upper floor facing the garden is to prefer due to some noice from the street. In 5 minutes walk you are on the main street with the market, restaurants and shops.
An absolutely wonderful boutique hotel that lives up to it’s reputation. The polished teak that glimmer in the night light, tropical plants filling the courtyard where an astonishing breakfast menu is presented each morning, your private balcony a lovely spot to relax. But all of this is just the beginning. The staff is remarkable in every way. I was made to feel as if I were a most important guest. They are kind and courteous, respectful and generous and helpful, all the while almost invisible somehow!! They offer the very best reason to go back for another delightful stay!
