The Apple Guesthouse in Luang Prabang is hands down the best place to stay in the town. The owners/staff are super friendly and will help you out with anything you need. They keep everything very nice and tidy. Recently, they just had a daughter and their daughter is very cute. Makes your trip more personable!

Hi There Thank you for staying with us at Apple GH. We try very hard to make sure all our guests are very comfortable and appreciate it when you give us credit for all our hard work. Little Applelena is starting to crawl and so we are really on our toes trying to make sure she does not crawl out... More

I booked this hotel for two nights by "booking.com" and was disappointed by the place, compared to others. The best point is that it is close to the river and the "central street" (where the night market and most of the shops are). The bathroom was very small (just a little shower and the toilets and you get everything wet... More

Hi There we are sorry you did not find us up to your standard, however we are only a 2.5 start guest house. The bathrooms in Asia are all wet rooms it is only the more modern day ones which have a western style bathroom. As we are in the center of Luang Prabang our Guest House has been built... More

Apple guesthouse is perfectly located in central LP though it's still in quiet surroundings. The rooms are kinda small and basic, but they're clean and have everything you need. Cleaning is every third day during your stay. The staff and owners are very helpful and will organize trips and book bus tickets for you, etc. there's an onsite laundry (10000... More

everything is great here. Great location , it's 5 mins walk to the main Sisavangvong Rd ( where the good restaurants & night market are); they rent bycicles for 20.000 kip for the whole day; the hotel reception is very helpful on organising any trip you need ( they helped me organize a mini van trip to Nong Khiaw for... We enjoyed here for 2 nights and It was such a pleasure to stay. The hotel is clean with friendly staff. it is near the river and it's easy to walk there and night market or walk around the old town. But the drainage system was not good in the bathroom, so the water stagnated and the floor was wet... More

I recommend Apple Guesthouse as a great place to stay in a great location. It's run by a nice couple who are very welcoming and can help you with anything you need. Rooms are big and clean. We stayed at Apple guesthouse for 4 nights and it was such a pleasure. The location is excellent - just metres away from the Mekong River and a 5 minute walk to the main road/night market area. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Although not the biggest room for 2 big rucksacks, there were plenty of pegs and shelves to... More

Situated a matter of meters away from the Mekong, Apple guesthouse is the sweetest, most helpful, cosy, family ran place you could hope to visit. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Jimmy (the owner), his wife Nou, and gorgeous young daughter, Appelina, we're a joy to be around. They helped us book a fantastic tour to Kuang Si waterfall,... More

We loved our stay at the Apple Guesthouse. Jimmy, his wife Nou and gorgeous Appleina made our stay so welcome. Fantastic location in a truly beautiful part of the world. Jimmy was so helpful... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, 2 of which were in the double suite with balcony. We extended for 1 night and were moved to a normal room downstairs which we didn't mind too much. However on arrival we were told we could continue to stay in the room we were in. Beds were big and the rooms decent sized.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Apple Guest House offers quaint, personalized and friendly 10 room accommodation in the heart of this unique UNESCO heritage city, just behind the main tourist street and two doors from the mighty Mekong River and its varied restaurants for all budgets. A short walk will get you to the major attractions; temples, restaurants, tourist information, tours, and morning and night markets are just around the corner. Rooms are spotlessly maintained; many in teak, which is the traditional Lao style. All have air conditioning, fan, free Wifi, LED TV with CNN, BBC, HBO and the Australian network. The two superior rooms each have their own private balconies overlooking the quiet streetscape. One superior double room has a fantastic brand new private bamboo porch creating a stylish romantic atmosphere for people like "YOU". Our family rooms are very spacious. And the customer service by Lao owner Jimmy (a former Buddhist monk and who has lived with his Australian family for 12 years) and his beautiful wife "Nou", is truly exceptional. They both speak excellent English, have good local knowledge of the city and countryside and are very helpful with Tuk Tuk, travel and tour bookings.  The common balcony upstairs overlooks the alleyway’s activities, where you can sit and enjoy free tea, coffee, cool water and magazines, and is a popular place for people using the free WiFi.   Nou and Jimmy invite you to come and experience our warm hospitality. ... more   less
