Burasari Heritage is Imagine a wildly romantic elegant, traditional colonial house located in the mystical city of Luang Prabang right across from the River Khan, the ideal setting for romantic strolls. Imagine fishing boats float by under the lazy sun, the sound of soothing evening prayers of the monks and locals wearing hats riding bicycles en-route to the market. This charming historic Laotian colonial house is a true reflection of what life was like during the 19th century French Indochina History surrounds the hotel, and to feel what it was like is to absorb and take part in many of the city's traditions including the daily procession of the monks collecting alms, a ritual dating back for centuries.... A timeless picture of days gone by. Burasari Heritage is a place you will love. For to discover the warmth and tranquility of this historic house, surrounded by the delight of Luang Prabang, is to find something very special- rather like falling in love for the very first time.

Our 5 day stay here exceeded all expectations, we came here for the tranquility and laid back lifestyle of a bygone era but experienced much more! We were taken care of from beginning to end by a caring and dedicated staff that worked as a team, happily, cheerfully and so mindful of our every comfort in the hot weather. Our package included a special treat everyday, whether it's cocktails, a cooking class with a trip to the market (thanks for the patient and detailed explanations of the herbs and vegetables, condiments, the lovely open-air cooking beside the river), sunset Mekong cruise (endless snacks and ice water), Almsgiving an uplifting experience with sticky rice and sashes provided. The location is ideal, just by the Nam Khan and away from the main strip but walkable there in 5 minutes. We were so appreciative of the immediate upgrade to a balcony room (thanks, Lan, for always being so concerned and attentive) where we could sit and admire the butterflies flitting on top of the trees and see joggers and cyclists, monks and families go past. Meals were delightful, 'The Terrrace' provides the best food, breakfast was enjoyed everyday especially with the local noodle or porridge specialty alongside omelettes, fruit, yogurt, croissants, baguette, spring rolls. It's a real Heritage stay, this hotel gets 6 stars for service, and conveys the best in the Lao tradition of kindness and humility with modern-day efficiency. The charismatic GM Kash welcomes all his guests like personal friends to his home and all his staff are as naturally friendly and outgoing. We quite forgot about the pool that we mistakenly thought was here and were quite sad to leave.

It is so great to see that the Burasari Heritage can keep up fantastic service when during low season they may only have a few customers 😊 The breakfast service is fantastic, and the terrace by the water, which is not really set up, gets set up quickly when we want a drink with the view. The added “Stay and explore” items, which again some are high maintenance with few guests are amazing and I give props to the hotel for honouring the concept during low season The cooking class was my favourite ... sooo good and informative. The morning Alms Giving was a must! The sunset cruise is relaxing and beautiful The staff are attentive and so friendly, we love seeing their smiles. The rooms are mind blowingly beautiful and lovely to sit and have a drink in, fantastic sleeps, a bit dark so don’t plan on reading... but who would with all there is to see. I will add, as a westerner, it’s unusual to not have a door to the bathroom/toilet. It makes sense in the room, and we made it work....just know that’s that way it is 😊

the moment we reached the hotel, it was just bliss. It faces the Nam Khan river and boosts a natural greenery and tropical palm trees. Every corner is decorated with tasteful furnitures. The touch points are so thoughtful , ie we were given a nice smelling lemongrass insect repellant, a leather pouch that contains map of Luang Prabang etc. They also offered complimentary experience/perk for their guests such as a sunset river cruise and cooking class, and cocktail at the terrace. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, i had the best omelette in my life! That’s the time when we have most time to interact with the staff, all of them are so good natured and sincere. Lan and Zack always take care of us. As for the room, aircon and wifi work well, coconut toiletries are provided. We slept well on the king sized beds. Water pressure is good for shower. I read that Some people complained about the dim lighting, it didn’t cause any inconvenience to us, we simply opened up the blind to let in light when we needed. Last but not least, it’s the people and hospitality at the hotel that impressed us. By the end of 3rd day, we didn’t feel like leaving this wonderful place. Mr Kash, Mr Lan, Mr Mr Te, Mr Zack, Mr Bee, Ms Noy - thank you and we will be back!

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Busari Heritage over the course of 5 days at Luan Prabang. First of all the interior design of the hotel is very beautiful and intricate, and condiments provided were comprehensive. The location was also very convenient. At the beginning of our stay, one of the lights in the room was spoilt, but the great manager, Kash, kindly upgraded our room without extra costs! I am very pleased with their service, and one thing that touches me the most is how Kash mentioned “Staying here, let’s not speak about money, your happiness is our main concern!” I feel that having this attitude in the tourism industry is extremely respectable, and believe that they will climb to greater heights. Not forgetting Lam and the rest of the staff, who were really helpful and friendly during our stay. If we were given a chance, we’ll still choose to stay at Busari Heritage for the trip.

We had a wonderful time at Burasari. A special mention goes out to Anusak - one of the staff. We asked about where we could play petanque in Luang Prabang. Anusak was thrilled to hear that we were interested and spent his entire night off introducing us to the cities petanque scene. We had a great time, great laughs with the locals and memorable petanque (laos versus south africa). Thank you Burasari and thank you Anusak!
