Lovely friendly staff , 10 mins walk to city central , across rd from an amazing restaurant manda de Laos , very helpful with tuk Tuks , breakfast included ! Nothing was too much for these quiet but friendly staff inc tour bookings , directions or tuk tuks bookings
We stayed here for 4 nights. It’s on a quiet street that is walking distance to the main sights. Our bedroom was spacious and breakfast was included. The staff were helpful with bookings and the WiFi was strong. There are a lot of early morning roosters so maybe bring some earplugs. We had some issues with checkout. Their cc machine wasn’t working so make sure you bring extra cash in case. They also questioned the quality of one of our US twenty dollar bills and claimed they couldn’t exchange it at the bank... meanwhile most of the Kip around the country looks like it’s been through a hurricane. Stand your ground and make sure you get a receipt.
This place ended up being a 5 min walk from where the minivan from Vang Vieng dropped me off. The staff were very humble and helpful. There are 4 different breakfasts to choose from - cooked to order - included in your stay. The room was comfortable and clean with some English chanels on the TV. It was just outside the main area on a nice quiet street close to the main road where you could get a tuk tuk or walk in 10 mins or so. They can organise tours for you. I ony paid 40,000 kip for a minivan to pick me up from the hotel to take me to Kuang Si waterfall (a must do). I stayed for 6 nights very happily. Highly recommend this place! It's good value for price.
Staff was warm and welcoming. Comfortable beds with working A/C, TV and Wi-Fi. We stayed upstairs with a common lounge/balcony. Toilets are a bit small but fine with plenty of hot water and clean. Good location, within easy walking distance to several markets, temples and the main street. Sometime mosquitos but they give a mozzie machine in the room if want. Less than three minutes walk to the waterfront by the river. Breakfast was fine. We stayed for three nights. The banana pancake soaked in butter...(delicious) Juices were watery (for the price its ok). Would stay again. Very up market restaurant directly across the road.
Comfortable beds in an air conditioned room. Showers were hot and whole room was clean on arrival. Staff were really friendly and helpful- they booked a taxi and a trip for us. Good location, within easy walking distance to several markets and the main street. Loved that there was a fridge in our room for drinks and snacks. Only slight issue is that mosquitos kept getting into our room. Staff did spray them, but they were quite annoying to deal with.
This hotel was very clean and pretty basic. If you’re looking for the cute/charming accommodations in Luang Prabang this is not it. However, the banana pancakes at breakfast were delicious. One of the receptionist speaks good English, while the other does not. This proved difficult as the one who checked us in and needed to call the airport transfer didn’t understand what we were asking and it was difficult to communicate. As for the location, it is a bit out of town, which was a bummer because the town is quite small. It would have been nicer to be more centrally located to be able to easily walk around.
We stayed here for 2 nights. Good pillows and nice hot shower. Staff is very friendly too. Our room did not have a lot of natural light and the breakfast area was right beside it. A bit further from the city centre though, about 10 minutes walk.
We stayed here for 6 nights in February 2019. There are some definite positives in that it was always clean, with clean towels and fresh bottles of water every day. The staff were always smiling and quick with a hello or Saibadee, the laundry turn around was very quick and the clothes came back smelling clean. Our room was quiet enough, you expect some scooter noise etc in Asia and it wasn't excessive at all. Bathrooms had proper shower areas and were kept clean. The breakfast service was very fast. The breakfast menu was quite uninspiring and we ended up just getting the eggs after trying a few different things early on. The juices are either cordial or very watery juice. That being said, it's still nice to have a breakfast in the hotel. It's not in the busy, happening, end of town, that's about 15/20 minute walk away, so that may be either a con or pro to some people, we didn't mind the walk. We got a minibus to the falls one day, which I think was 160,000kip for four of us, return trip. Other trips we just hailed a tuk tuk from up the road.…
Lovely big comfy bed, all the hot water you could want, and a spotless room and bathroom. Decent tv with a few channels in English too. They had tea and coffee available for you to make yourself whenever you wanted. The breakfast was decent, the banana pancake a particular highlight! Only downside was that our room was very near the foyer so unfortunately when someone smoked we could smell in our room. But, this place was superb for the money and we would come again.
I stayed here 4 nights last month and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The place is affordable and gets you everything you might need if you plan to be sightseeing and out & about all day and night. The AC works great, the water pressure in the shower was perfect and the water was hot! My only complaint was that the bed and pillows were a little harder than I usually like. The breakfast was delicious and enough. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. I liked that the location isn't right in the heart of all the action. It was incredibly quiet and only a short walk or bike ride from the center of town. Speaking of bikes, you could get a bike from here for a very small fee. I have to say for me the best thing was being across the street from one of the best restaurants in SE Asia - Manda de Laos - easily the most gorgeous and peaceful restaurant in the city. Excellent food, delicious cocktails and great service. All about 5 meters from my room in Singharat. What a great combination.…
