We enjoyed a two night stay at the hotel in the Champa Suite courtesy of an upgrade. The room was nice and very charming. It is showing some age however it was very clean and functional with a good shower and large bath tub. The best thing about this property is easily the team from front office to f&b. They were quick to respond on Facebook and made the booking process very easy. We also appreciated the flexibility as we had to cancel a night on short notice as we were unable to secure train tickets to luang prabang. The team was very understanding. Also, we appreciated the surprise birthday cake (noticed from my passport upon check in). The hotel also had a large pool, though the water was way too cold to swim in Dec. Good, solid breakfast and a great location just outside of the night market and still well within walking distance. Thank you for accommodating us. …
The hotel were generous and kind enough to upgrade my room to a suite in the midst of the pandemic. Had one of the best times in LPB as a result. Really enjoyed my stay and would like to extend my gratitude to the staff and team of the hotel for taking care of me!
We had a fantastic stay at Maison Souvannaphoum Hotel. The service was excellent, much better than you would expect anywhere in Laos. The room was large and very comfortable and the whole hotel had a calm, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Great breakfast too. We will definitely return to this hotel.
A simple search about this hotel will lead you to information about Laos you never knew. You will first learn about the Prince that lived in the house along with history of the secret war in Laos. You may also learn about the various architecture in Laos. Very well manicured and caring team. A sense of living on an estate with a wonderful family is how I can describe it. Large rooms, vast garden , cozy pool dining area. Boasts one of the best spa and massages in the area as well.
Beautiful boutique hotel very near the night market.(can walk around 15min) Very friendly staff.very quiet (I think because of covid19).but it's ok for me and my girlfriend.Thank you for a good sevice hope to stay with you again.
My boyfriend and I visited LPB early this month. We looked up for a Spa and decided to go for Angsana Spa because the reviews looked nice and they also had a promotion at that time (until now). We were impressed by how well we were welcomed by the staff. At first, hygiene was our concern because of COVID-19, but everything looked clean. The staff wore a mask all the time and so did we. The Spa experience was so great! I have tried in full price at one of the best hotels in LPB and I would say that they have the same quality. With this price, I think it is worth to come. We will definitely go back again!
The hotel is not so big so it offered an intimate feeling. Staffs were all friendly and went above and beyond. We were surprised with beautiful room decoration once checked in. Couldn't ask for a better location. Most of the sights are at walking distance, especially the night market. Room is quite large. This used to be a Banyan Tree hotel so the wellness area especially the massage is very good and relaxing. The only point is that the toilet is somehow very low. Overall a great stay and will come back next time I'm in Luang Prabang
Ist time visit and Maison was a great hotel and location. Service was prompt but not overbearing, my room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had a great selection to chose from and the 1/2 price drinks from the bar were great to settle into by the pool.
From the moment we walked into reception to check-in (in fact include the airport pick up too) we were greeted with very friendly and accomodating staff. The whole visit was a real pleasure. Beautiful rooms, excellent pool, great food at the restaurant too. Will definately book again on my next trip.
When Unesco, in 1995, appointed Luang Prabang as a "World Heritage Site", it stressed its "outstanding example of the fusion of traditional architecture and Lao urban structures with those built by the European colonial authorities in the 19th and 20th centuries". And this is exacly the spirit of "Maison Souvannaphoum Hotel", which was once the residence of the late Prince Souvanna Phouma (1901-1984), a member of the Lao Royal Family and country's Prime Minister on different occasions. As guests, we enjoyed every minute spent at this beautiful hotel. Clean, cozy, friendly, cosmopolitan and perfectly located in Luang Prabang's Old Quarter. "Sai Bat" and "Morning Market" were almost in front of us. "Le Elephant Blanc Restaurant" and the "Angsana Spa" are another highlights of this luxury boutique hotel. Enjoy!…
