Our tuktuk from the bus station dropped us off on the Luang Prabang side of the “Old Bridge”and we walked across. The centre part of the bridge is for bikes and there is a walkway on either “outside”part. Coming from LP, the right hand side is better maintained, on the left hand side there are several “planks”that are no longer... More

We were really lucky that the tuk tuk from Port Luang Prabang dropped us off in the centre of town, just by the Tourist Office, and there was an English-speaking passerby available to give directions to the tuk tuk driver to take us to the Bungalows. Our own efforts to explain where we wanted to go, with booking form in... More

We stayed in the bungalows for 3 nights after finding them on booking.com, the bungalow itself was really nice large and spacious. The staff where very nice although limited english but cant really complain about that. The issue is it is so far out of the way, no tuk tuks come that way either so you will need to walk... More

Bellevue Bungalows is located on the other side of the Nam Kha river so you need to reach it by crossing the old bridge. This bridge is just for motorbikes, bicycles and pedestrians so anyone arriving by tuk tuk will have to go the long way round. Given it's somewhat out of the way location, there is a good 10... These 'bungalows' offer comfortable but basic rooms. Hot water was sometimes elusive but the wet room style bathroom was huge with a choice of showers. The beds were comfy and warm and very welcoming at the end of a long day. Outside our room were comfortable chairs to drink tea and read. Breakfasts are large and with different options to... More

Me and my wife stayed at Bellevue Bungalows for 6 days in November 2014 and simply loved the place. We are backpackers and were looking for a basic, clean and affordable accommodation. This place exceeded our expectations by far. It is located at the old bridge, so it's not directly in the town center. However, it's only a 15 minute... More

There were lots of cute little puppies running around! The staff (family owned) was very accommodating. Nothing fancy here with a fan and mosquito net, but everything was comfortable. It was Lao New Year and my white shirt got stained from an over zealous child splashing me-- but the housekeeper was able to get the purple stains out without complaint.... More

I kept extending my stay and returned again after a trip into northern Laos. Both bungalows I stayed in were clean, comfortable and had great character...nice veranda with chairs and small table, wood floors inside, stone walls in the bathroom. The gardens are lovely, breakfast is great, a 20 minute walk to the Old Town peninsula and night market, good... More

We stayed 3 nights in two different both nice bungalows. There was the smell of an open Sewer in both rooms. Smells very offensive. Also there were bathtubs in both rooms but we were not allowed to have a plug. Travellers tip: half a lime makes a great plug for only 1000 kip. The wifi may be free but it does... More

I loved this place. The owners are really lovely people that are happy to help you at any time. We stayed at a lovely bungalow 555, it was so cute.
