I travelled to Laos especially to take the three-day weaving course at this amazing weaving villa and it was one of the most peaceful and rewarding experiences of my life. What else can I say after spending three days among silk threads, beautiful colours and learning to weave with the Mekong river as a background? The place is full of... More

We adored our stay at Ock Pop - we only stayed two night since our other hotel (Le Sen) was booked for some of the nights we were in town. We ended up loving both hotels, and this was the perfect antidote to LP's more happening downtown. Our room, the Hmong, was one of the two rooms with a balcony... More

My husband and I stayed in the Hmong room 4 nights. The room itself is artfully decorated with exquisite textiles and the bathroom is large with very hot water, but my favorite part was the balcony overlooking the Mekong River. I enjoyed the beauty and quiet there at all times of the day. The breakfasts are exceptional, with delicious food... More

We had a lovely stay here. The breakfast is exceptional, very delicious, fresh and organic. The views from the cafe and lobby are breakthtaking, by the Mekong river. The room was vert comfortable, although the wifi connection was sometimes weak and there is no tv in the room. A free tuk tuk service to town is provided all day. Lovely... More

I should say upfront - this is not a luxury hotel. It is a basic guesthouse with four rooms, three with a back deck overlooking the Mekong River. Rooms are simple and clean but certainly not luxurious. There are no staff in the guest house. They are a 2 minute walk away in the restaurant/office. If you want to quaint... More

We stayed two nights in the Hmong room, one of the rooms with the balcony overlooking the Mekong. The view is beautiful and the balcony is such a peaceful place to relax. The bed was comfortable and decorations nice. Only criticism of the room really is that the shower sprays water everywhere and the outside water pump is a bit... More

A very unique experience staying at the Ock Pop, just by the Mekong River. It's about a 10min Tuk-Tuk ride to the old town, but they offer a free service whenever needed. Rooms are spacious, great breakfast and lunch options. Highly recommended.

I stayed in the Northern Tribe Hills Room for 3 nights in May and for me personally it was a bit of a different experience. While the area is very quiet and peaceful, I felt very secluded at night. There is no official front desk and it gets quite dark around the grounds so I sort of felt like I... More

I stayed two nights in the superior room with river view, the view is amazing, but don't have too privacy, the balcony rooms are together with free hotel access. The bathroom is a joke, the tube is old and the wash basin is very lower, 50 cm over the floor. The breakfast service is terrible, quality is good, not buffet... More

Oct Pop Tok is mainly a weaving centre with free guided tours, a retail shop & cafe open from 8AM to 5PM. It has 4 rooms built over the retail shop, 2 of which have private balconies overlooking the Mekong River & 2 rooms have terraces that face the drive way but have access to the balcony overlooking the river....
