Myself and my partner travel to Luang Prabang from Perth twice a year to indulge in our most beloved town in the world. Never in our 6 years of travelling there have we stayed in such a beautiful and utterly relaxing hotel. The apsara rive droite is a homely and tastefully decorated haven run by a humble and professional team... More

Very sweet local staff who try very hard to make things comfortable. However this is not luxury and is really only worth staying at for a night to see Luang Prabang and move on. Wi fi is woeful and the boat journey across the river for dinner became tedious. Air con was loud and the hotel needs upgrading overall especially... More

We stayed two weeks. One week at the Aspara and one week at the Aspara Rive Droite. The Rive Droite was excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. Spacious rooms. Understated style. Beautiful swimming pool. Access to the other side of the river was exceptionally easy and available around the clock. The food at the hotel was delicious. A bike ride... More

Be warned, this is not a hotel - they do not offer dinner, only breakfast. We chose to book here as we thought we were booking into a hotel Remember you are on the "wrong" side of the river from Luang Prabang, so apart from 2 local restaurants (which the management does not particularly recommend,) you have to cross to... The place has the charm of old times, and still offers modern amenities, large rooms decorated with style, and just 1 minute from the centre with the private boat across the river. Good wifi. Staff is so helpful and friendly. Excellent cooked breakfast. And a swimming pool to relax or to cool down after a hot day of visits. You... More

We stayed at the Apsara Rive Droite on our third trip to Luang Prabang, a laidback city we really love, and had an excellent visit. This small hotel is the perfect getaway. Our balcony room (#7) was large and comfortable (bed was really comfy) and we spent a lot of time lounging on the balcony. We stayed at nice hotels... More

I had read the reviews prior to our 6 night visit and was expecting a quiet relaxing time - it exceeded our expectation. A great location away from the tuk tuks and motorbikes of the town centre but 5 mins away by the small private boat (great fun) or the bamboo bridge (great fun). What serenity. And that's before you... More

We had a fabulous stay at this lovely hotel. The very friendly and helpful staff added to it's charm. An upstairs balcony room was the perfect place to watch life go by for a few relaxing days in this beautiful, at time very quite, UNESCO town. Rooms were tastefully adorned. The bed was super comfortable and the down pillows and... More

Anita and her team are marvelous hosts at the Apsara Rive Droite. From the stunning decor to the tasty breakfast each morning, no detail is spared. The hotel is located across the river directly facing the old town. If you're seeking peace and quiet, but proximity to the hustle and bustle of the old town, this location is perfect. The... More

I loved being here and eating my delicious pumpkin and apple curry for lunch! I sat in the reataurant, near the small terrace and had a great view of the Nam Khan and the people passing by! I think the hotel would be very pleasant too.
