The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, assisted us to book transport and provided us with recommendations on local recommendations. Room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We we surpised that there was no TV in the room. Upon reading the information book, we learnt the reason is the provide guest the experience to unplug - such a great idea because we enjoyed the quietness there. Make sure you read the guest information book as it is full on local knowledge, I learnt a lot reading it. The breakfast was fabulous, fantastic selection of food to enjoy while overlooking the Mekong River. There was also a complimentary Mekong River sunset cruise. Will be staying here again!
Damian and the team go above and beyond at this luxurious historic hotel…everything from booking tours, eating/drinking on the premise and laundry were all handled perfectly. Well situated in the old town with all of the main attractions within 10 minutes walk. Very well priced for the standard delivered..thank you!
Very convenient location, walking distance to the Central Street, restuarants, Monk feeding, night market. Old charm rooms facing the Mekong. Co owner Damien is always around, very helpful staff. You get 2 beers for the first day & 2 soft drinks and fruits every day. Free cruise on the Mekong with wine thrown in.
Beautiful hotel spread across a few adjacent buildings overlooking the Mekong river. The room we had was very good with a large four poster plus full length mosquito net. Good shower, separate toilet and seating area. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Great choice of Laotian, Thai and Western options, plus great Lao coffee with condensed milk. One of the best aspects of the hotel is the staff though. Without exception they were friendly, helpful and generally well trained. Luang Prabang is a small place so you are within easy reach of every attraction, spa, restaurant and bar. The free evening cruise was a super way to pass an hour watching the sun set over the Mekong. Would highly recommend this beautiful and well run hotel.
Lovely boutique hotel. Clean, attractive rooms, delicious made to order breakfast on terrace overlooking Mekong. Free bicycle use. Complimentary nightly river cruise with drink. Staff could not be nicer. If you’re a light sleeper, request room above street level which is quieter. Great location. Easy to walk to night market, shops, spas.
Very good hotel! Clean rooms and friendly staff. Also the morning breakfast can be eaten alongside the Mekong River. We Made a reservation via Booking.com. Quick responses according our requests were Made. Perfect place in the center of the City! :-D
We had a wonderful time at this beatiful location. In a familiar and professional athmosphere you can really relax and everybody ist extremely kind to help for any wishes such as a private mekiong cruise to waterfalls or to produce your own knife at a professional blacksmith in a neighbour village. Food and especially breakfast is great and avalailable until 12am, which gives you the opportunity to have a relaxed morning an take breakfast/brunch whenever you feel like. We werde there twice and both rooms were clean, quite and equipped eith everything you need. Outstanding is the people working there including the general manager.
LAOS Luang Prabang LA BELLE RIVE , superb place to stay!!! From the charming staff, the polished and affable Swiss GM, the amazing breakfast facing the Mekong river, the wonderful suite with its wraparound terrace , the wooden floors , the exquisite entrance, it’s Southeast Asia at its finest. All questions were promptly answered : the location is unbeatable, a few minutes walking to see the Buddhist temples, the quirky cafe’s and shops . LBR certainly made our stay unforgettable ( so did the laundry) , untouched because of the UNESCO World Heritage List .
Lovely hotel, perfect location for discovering Luang Prabang. The restaurant and garden are across the little street just on the Mekong (adorable little vegetable garden with lawn chairs perfect for reading or doing exercice in the morning). Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable overlooking the Mekong. The staff is charming and always there to help. Good laundry service and generally very professional help for booking trains etc. Good bicycles just there to be borrowed. I would not go anywhere else in Luang Prabang.
I stayed 4 nights in a Deluxe Suite. All rooms face a street with the Mekong River beyond. From my “Mango” room, the river is not so visible because of the trees. The room is spacious enough for a solo traveler or 2, beautifully furnished. A fruit bowl and a small jar of cookies were on a side table. 2 beer bottles and 2 sodas in the mini bar were complimentary. The room is in a building next to the reception building, accessible through a flight of stairs. People with accessibility issues should choose a lower level room type. I did not mind because it felt like living in a colonial house. The staff are friendly and helpful. Location is a few minutes walking distance to monks alms giving venue and night market. In short, excellent location.
