Mr. Vong was the owner of this lodging. He was very nice, and managed the lodging efficiently, for all the 6 rooms they had. I was staying there with my friend. We booked for 3 nghts, twin-bed room. We got the room upstairs, with very nice balcony. We loved it :) The room was spacious, and the bathroom was ok....

Well situated near the main street and night market and the Mekong River. Many excellent restaurants nearby. The old wooden house had been upgraded well but the huge bed took up much of the room space. The windows were difficult to open and looked out onto another close building with no view. Lighting was poor in the room and the...

I've stayed for 3 nights in Villa Lao Wooden House and I was satisfied! Very friendly staff, nice vibe to the wooden building (I can understand the reviews saying the rooms are dark but it really didn't bother me), OUTSTANDING location. The breakfast was really ok for me and the city adds a charm to everything. Mr. Vong and the...

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Lao Wooden House. It is central to everything....restaurants, the rivers, the shopping area, and the markets. It is family run. Everyone is so kind and gracious and the whole property is spotless. We enjoyed the breakfast; fruit, eggs and fresh bread along with juice and great coffee. We would definitely recommend!!!

A small traditional hotel with 6 rooms on 2 floors and an outside reception area. The building is old and all timber is dark, so the rooms are dark. But a very central location 5 minutes walk from the centre of Luang Prabang. Staff are friendly and helpful (just google 'omelette ' and show the picture and you'll get what...

We stayed here for four nights in midDecember. Three of the four nights there was a party or wedding going on at the neighboring properties that were very disruptive. One night the PA came on at 1am and lasted until 3am. It appears the villa resides within 50 meters of two different outdoor entertainment venues. The place was charming but...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Village Lao Wooden House, especially the location. It is very centrally located (one block to the Mekong River, one block to monks getting alms, one block to restaurants), but it is on the least busy street so there was no road noise to speak of. There were some sounds of life in Luang...

This converted French colonial home has retained the magnificent wood paneling from floor to ceiling, providing a lovely ambiance to the room and making you feel like you have stepped back in time. The room furnishings and bathroom are modest but clean, and the courtyard garden out front where you take breakfast is very pleasant. The owner and his family...

Lao guest house was perfect. Great Location. Short walking range to almost all of the city landmarks, but at the same time quiet and away from the main streets. The hospitality and warm welcome of the owner and staff was second to none. I felt immediately at home and wished I could have stayed longer. The building itself was beautiful...

Villa Lao Wooden House is a great place to stay, right in the middle of Luang Prabang's charming older district. It's a block or two away from both rivers, the Mekong and the Nam Khan, and five minutes' walk from the sacred confluence of the two. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. The place is small -- two stories,...
