Detailed Reviews

I stayed at this hotel in 2006 when it was run by Pearl Continental and it was comfortable but in need of upgrading even back then.
Fast forward seven years and Serena has just taken over, but the hotel is even more fraying around the edges. The staff are too: the Pashtun people are amongst the world’s friendliest and most hospitable, but you wouldn’t know it staying here. They aren’t unfriendly, but don’t exactly make you welcome either.
The furniture remains old and dark. Rooms and bathrooms are small. The tiled floors make it easy to keep clean, however. Heating is very good in winter. Too good. Unfortunately, you can’t control the temperature so I turned it off as the room was otherwise boiling.
There is no kettle or tea or coffee making facilities in the room! A first for me in Pakistan. Even 2 or 3 star provincial hotels have this.
WIFI is poor for what is supposed to be Peshawar’s best hotel. It’s very slow and you often lose the connection.
Laundry service was efficient and unlike Pearl Continental where you have to pay cash on delivery, get a voucher or block an amount on your credit card, they trust you to settle upon departure.
The breakfast buffet is excellent but unless you have room for another buffet meal cone dinner time, you are out of luck.
There is no physical room service menu in the room. Just a QR code which takes you to a 50 page general Information booklet about all the Serenas. Try and flip to the room service menu and you can’t as you need to go page by page and the WIFI is too poor. I therefore walked to the restaurant which insisted I had to eat from the buffet. I asked to see the room service menu supposedly available all day until 11 PM, Guess what? If the item wasn’t served as part of the buffet it was “closed.” So for two nights I had fruits and nuts for dinner. All I wanted was a simple soup… but that’s impossible to get here.
Serena has only just taken over. I can only hope they improve quickly, as this Serena is badly letting down the brand.

This Hotel is set in an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets outside.
It has large and beautiful grounds and a huge car park which is complimentary for its guests.
It is totally secure with armed guards and other aspects of security making it virtually impossible to penetrate by undesirable visitors.
Currently there are major renovations taking place but if you ensure that your room is away from this work it shouldn't affect your stay.
The staff are exreemly kind and helpful.

I would like to advise you on something that can help to improve the guest experience as well.
The room interior needs to be improved, sofas condition were not good, overall the room was looking old. Show shiners were not in place.
Dine in-service was good but the taste, sorry to say, was not even average, we ordered chicken handi and its not even look like so long story short, you need to improve the taste of the food as well.
In Breakfast, I would suggest, maintaining Sereena Islamabad's breakfast menu
Thanks

I stayed in room 310, the rooms are clean with good housekeeping and friendly staff. My floor manager Mr. Waheed was very courteous and made my stay comfortable.
The laundry service is also prompt and the in house restaurants have plenty of options to choose from.

I stayed at the Hotel for the first time and it was an amazing experience. Starting from the floor supervisor Ijaz Ali Qazi & floor boy M. Ibrahim, they were extremely conscientious of our comfort & requirements & made sure that our needs were met. All the staff, waiters, helping staff, chef, reception and Manger food & beverages were extremely welcoming, helpful, charming and asking for suggestions.
Superb overall.

The Hi tea I attended at PC was quite contrary to my expectations. There was a limited number of items unlike PC Lahore hi tea.The tea was also served in a thermos due to which its taste was awful. Management of PC must take serious measures to improve the quality since better hi tea options are available in the town.

I stayed for 10days on business. Bathrooms are old with rusty fittings. Beds are uneven as the mattresses are old and used extensively. Rooms are noisy as thin walls can subject you to listen to coughing neighbor. Food menu is good but horribly cooked. Majority items on the menu are not available. Breakfast while complimentary has no options and tasteless. CoVID protocols are badly violated. No PPEs are provided and no sanitizer etc is available. I would prefer to stay in Peshawar Services Club than this horrible place.

The rooms are small & washrooms are tiny. The staff was very rude, the Marco Polo restaurant managers, the reception, the some from housekeeping were discourteous. They were even ignorant of opening the door for the guests, also I had to bring my own umbrella in the rain, & they don’t have the decency for holding it for me.
