Dear Rachel and Callum, We are sorry to hear that you didn't meet your expectation and satisfaction during your stay at our hotel. We will surely check the room condition as you mentioned. We don't know when the electricity will cut off. That's the reason why you had to wait for a while in the elevator as we started our own generator right away. Every hotel at our level in Mandalay doesn't even have a bathroom with facilities that guests can take a shower after they have already checked out. We are sorry that our guest toilet doesn't have hot water as we have difficulty to have one depending on the construction system. As all of our staff are young and willing to do what they can do to the guests, there might be immature behavior acted to the guests. But we admit that our staff still need to learn a lot and we really appreciate every thing you mentioned as they all remind us to work harder. Hope you are having a great time! Friendly staff that helped us organise a sightseeing tour and transport to the ferry. Clean, big rooms. The aircon was rather noisy and the breakfast buffet was almost empty when we got there half an hour before they were supposed to close.

Stayed a total of 6 nights. Nice smaller hotel, with great attention to detail, wine opener in each room. Good signage, and everything works. Very nice Breakfast, and ready on time. Great helpful staff, English speaking. You will enjoy a stay at Hotel A1.

I stayed here twice on my trip on the way into Myanmar and on the way out. Both for 1 night only. The first visit was ok, functional. However the Aircon was noisy enough to keep me awake and the unit was dirty and inefficient. The breakfast room was dirty and the food was poor.

Dear Neil, I am sorry that you had some problems during your stay at our hotel. We just want to give our best services to all of our guests as it has always been our first priority. I want to explain how things went wrong for I don't want you to misunderstand the services we provided you. What we want all the guests to do is just to let us know if there is any inconveniences in the room so that you we can do our best to make all the guests satisfied with what we offer. We check the room condition before we let guests enter rooms. After the guests have entered the room, only HK staff have the right to enter the room. So we can't know how the facilities provided in rooms work in details without being informed. I think that the problem you had with motorbikes was just a coincidence because we can't know when the tyre will be broken and normally we ask for additional fee if there is any damage to motorbikes while using the motorbikes. But we didn't ask you for any additional fees. This is the procedure used in all the hotels in Mandalay.
