This hotel, although close to the Palace, has certainly seen better days. The rooms are cramped and gloomy and in much need of refurbishing. Water from the air conditioner leaked all over the bed and we were moved to another room, where in the middle of the night the same thing happened there. The breakfast was just ok. They tried... Booked this place only because it was close to sedona and i had some work there. Double price for foreigner and payment before you check in is mandatory which was really annoying.Staff at reception was not courteous. Rooms looked so old that i doubt they have ever made any renovations since it was first built. They were no plug points... More

The rooms are not very bad, though the whole hotel is in poor maintenance. You can get warm water when you don't need. Then you are going to take shower, it's not working anymore. The breakfast is just fine but not so many choices. The internet is working only in the lobby area.

The Swan Hotel is located across the main street, (26th) from the Palace in downtown Mandalay. It has expansive, well-kept grounds giving it a park-like look. The building is 20 to 25 years old and decently maintained; no black mold or peeling paint. The layout is airy and open with a two storey entrance lobby flanked by the check-in desk... More

A recent business trip to Mandalay, a location I have heard about all my life was a dream come true. My stay was organised and for one night it was adequate. The location was great. The staff was excellent and the accommodation was adequate, nothing startling. The hotel had a large pool and catered for families and despite signs around... More

the internet won't work, mosquitos would trouble you, Tap water smelled, used bottled water to brus, the linen and towels were cleaned though, though it would be much cheaper than sadona being at same location, big mistake, sifted to sedona next day

I'm traveling w my sister who has lived in Burma for a year and is used to the charming culture but also the problems w money and foreigners. I stay in this hotel in may 2014 for business. Myanmar is a beautifull country, but poor! His infrastructure is also poor! I get also problems with mosquitos, but more in the lobby, and when you have a good product, they don't touch you!! About the Wifi, I had the chance to live in a room near the reception. So... More
