We'd read some negative reviews about Mandalay Hill Resort but found it very acceptable for a two night stay when we couldn't get into the Hotel on the Red Canal. We had a corner room, which was spacious and clean although without a hill view. Everything worked in the room despite the rather dated appearance; the bed was comfortable and...

What a great place to stay as our first introduction to Myanmar. The staff were vey efficient and welcoming; the meals were excellent and the rooms very spacious. We loved the view from our room looking out to Mandalay Hill, especially at night. We didn't have time to try the swimming pool but it looked fantastic. Thoroughly recommended.

Luxury hotel with magnificent swimming pool, gym and spa. A little isolated but only a US$5 cab fare from centre. Excellent buffer breakfast. Buffer dinner US$32 per person with a massive range and excellent quality. Coffee in Kiplings bar is excellent as is their tapas menu. Free WiFi in rooms with fast (for Myanmar) connection.

What a nice hotel. Wonderful staff. Great bar and restaurant. And the location at the foot of Mandalay Hill is superb. Our room was very nice, with a view of the Hill. We had dinner on the terrace, where they had a nice selection of local dishes and a few more standard European choices for the less adventurous. The entertainment...

Visited as part of a Titan tour of Bangkok and Burma as a group of 24 people. Bedrooms were a good size with plenty of storage although we all agreed at bit dated. The bathrooms were also a bit small. Usual room facilities available except ironing board/iron. The hotel had an overall colonial feel and general public areas were very...

Its really a great location, a tad away from the traffic and sits right next to the famous Mandalay Hill. Just a mere 200 meters away. Hotel property is huge that there are tennis courts, a great gym, awesome spa cottages and also a great outdoor cultural buffet dinner. The swimming pool is just heavenly as it sits with a...

Very nice hotel at the foot of Mandalay Hill where everyone goes to watch the beautiful sunset. The hotel is near some shopping and within walking distance to very large white dragon statues. The hotel is large and the rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and their English is getting much better.

Convenient to the old palace and Mandalay Hill for great views over the City. Quite well-placed for trips out to various temples, the old capitals of Ava and Annamapura and views of the Ayerawaddy River. Rooms in villas located among pretty gardens, good access for wheel-chairs etc. Walk-in showers in some units. Mini-bar, in-room safe. Takes credit cards.

We stayed here for 3 days and couldn’t sleep any night. The rooms are as well small and not at all isolated. You will hear everything that goes on around you, at your level, as well as the levels close to your room. You will hear everything from closing doors to flushing toilets, or simple conversations somewhere in the hotel…...
