Rooms are nice, clean, and of good size. The staff are friendly but unfortunately are not conversant in English. Food at the restaurant are not that brilliant and complimentary buffet breakfast serves local cuisne. Smoking is allowed in the rooms so for non-smokers, the odor may be a turn-off. But the room I stayed in was not bad at all. Location is okay for a city that is small and traffic is light, everything is accessible especially when taxis are easily available (except that drivers are mostly non-conversant in English. Cleanliness and room service is also good. Wifi is intermittent but not the fault of the hotel. Wifi at the lobby is poor but the at the restaurant which is on the 8th floor, reception is okay.

Good size and clean room. Nice to have a kettle with coffee and tea amenity. Breakfast is local staple which tourists may not get used to. Location is convenient to get around the town area. Overall a nice hotel.

Located near the downtown area and quite spacious car park. Rooms are average and also the service. It's worth the price though. Smoking rooms available too. Not sure they provide proper breakfast since I've tried it before.

Generally, the staff are quite helpful. However, there are many other areas to improve on. Having taken a sleeper bus from Inle, we arrived at Sein Sein Hotel at 5.30 in the morning. We were probably lucky or the staff were nice enough to let us have an early check-in without extra charges. Prior to arriving in Mandalay, we called to check if they provide any hotel transfers from the bus terminal. Language was a barrier and hence we could not arrange a transfer. We booked 2 superior small rooms and they are clean and cosy. But we were a little shocked to find a small cockroach lurking behind the pillows. It was only an one-off incident so we did not determine the general cleanliness of the rooms based on that. Staff are able to converse in mandarin and are pleasant, helpful and rather informative. We are told that the breakfast buffet starts at 6am which we were grateful for as we needed to catch another bus to Bagan. To our disappointment, when we got to the dining hall at 6.15am, there were used utensils and plates all over the tables and breakfast was also not ready (only a couple of dishes). There were plenty of staff around but none took the initiative to clean the place up.
