Nestled within tropical gardens and located just 15min. from the city center, Rupar Mandalar offers the most charming accommodation away from the bustle of Mandalay. Featuring two big outdoor swimming pools, for both adults and children, there is enough space for everyone to splash, sunbathe or just relax and do nothing. Guests can enjoy a cocktail and a quick bite at the poolside or a meal a la carte at the in-house restaurant. In the evenings, we recommend enjoying your dinner at our outdoor terrace bar while immersing in our traditional Burmese folklore and puppet show. We highly recommend our authentic Myanmar cuisine, accompanied by either a glass of local white or red wine, a cold local draft or our home brewed ginger prosecco. If Chinese cuisine is more to your liking, our Chinese chef will ensure that your dining experience is as authentic as possible. Interested in a massage? Then look no further. We have an amazing, solid teak walled spa, set in a 3-bedroomed villa, for your complete relaxation experience. For something different, a solid wood jacuzzi and sauna for two are also at your disposal. Just inquire at the reception for availability. Our fitness center is small but adequate for your daily workout. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the whole property. Featuring 38 luxurious rooms and suites, the property has become famous for its exceptional teak construction craftsmanship. Each room is air-conditioned and features a flat-screen TV with a variety of international and local cable channels. USB plugs are fitted in almost all rooms so that you don’t have to worry about carrying all these power cables with you. All rooms come with an outdoor seating area facing lush tropical gardens, where you can relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and make plans for your next day’s adventure. Every room is fitted with a separate bathtub and shower. All rooms are fitted with a mini bar and Room Service is available from 6am to 9.30pm. Laundry service is available and our wonderful laundry team will wash, press, fold and deliver your clothes to your room the next day. Our 24/7 front desk associates will only be too happy to assist you with your inquiries at any time of the day or night. Allow us the opportunity to make your visit to Mandalay that little bit more special and memorable. Let us be part of your extraordinary moments!

The room was large but rudimental. No view, not well furnish and poor air-conditioning. The swimming pool was not well maintain. The restaurant and service was barely acceptable. I sure there is a better hotel in Mandalay.

Located off the busy part of the city yet just short drive away to the Palace and major attractions within the city (Mandalay Hill, Mahamuni pagoda, Zay Cho market), as soon as you drive into the hotel compound, you felt like arriving into a secluded resort. It is worth to pay an upgrade to Premier Suite room category. Despite its 41sqm in size, the actual room felt much bigger with many space to move around. The bathroom is modern and feature separate shower and bathtub. The bed was comfortable and unlike majority of hotels in Mandalay which used bulky wooden furniture; the wooden furniture used in this room was of the right size and very well complemented the overall space and create a true resort feeling. Breakfast was more than adequate and very delicious, good meal to start the day and staff was very attentive and approachable. It was overall an enjoyable stay and I would definitely return again.

The Rupar Mandalar resort has been one of the highlights of my visit to Mandalay and a truly wonderful discovery. From the moment of arrival I was warmly received and treated as a treasured guest in this incredibly relaxing setting. The serenity and freshness of the design - along with the ample greenery and birdsong gives the feel of an oasis amidst a typically hot and humid climate and the three swimming pools, super comfortable loungers and friendly, attentive service make for an incredibly relaxing and revitalizing experience. The general manager Kyrie, goes out of his way to ensure that all his guests have the finest experience possible and attends to requests by going the extra mile, also making one feel incredibly welcome. The food I ordered was also superb in quality, taste, portion size - and excellent value. I will certainly return to the Rupar Mandalay whenever possible and highly recommend this resort to anybody visiting, or just wanting to treat themself in Mandalay. Thank you for the outstanding service and experience.

This resort has really special atmosphere. As soon as you walk through the reception which opens on to the exquisite pool garden, you will feel instantly relaxed. The whole setting is beautifully kept and spotlessly clean. The personel is super nice and helpful and the food is just absolutely amazing. I really love this place and enjoy returning to relax here again and again.

I stayed at Rupar Mandalar for three nights in early March 2020. This is a very lovely hotel with well-kept grounds. The staff is warm and gracious. The breakfast buffet is very nice. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The only issue I had was with noise. There is a very large construction project right next to the hotel, with a significant amount of noise from around 8AM to 5PM. I was given a very nice corner room facing the pool area ..... the view was great. Sadly, though, it was next to a neighborhood full of dogs. Every night from midnight to around 3AM there was an unending chorus of barking dogs which made it difficult to sleep. Also, there was a party in the pool area one evening with alcohol-fueled Karaoke singing until around 10PM. I did not mention any of this to the hotel managers as there was really nothing they could have done to reduce the noise. This would have been a perfect stay except for lots and lots of noise.

We stayed here for four nights in a Premier Suite Twin and enjoyed our stay. We arrived well before check-in time, but we were allowed to check-in and only had to wait a short time for our room to be ready. The room was luxurious, clean, spacious and very well appointed - perfect. We didn't pay extra for a garden or pool view so our balcony view was not that exciting, overlooking the fence at the rear of the hotel - but that is fair enough - however we did get some drain smells when sitting out there in the evening (I think we were close to the lid of the septic tank as we could hear water rushing into it) - but this was the only thing wrong and it wasn't a deal-breaker. The public spaces, swimming pool and restaurant area were all excellent. The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. We took all our meals in the restaurant and the food and entertainment were excellent. My wife has a range of food intolerances and the Maitre D' (Bobo) was very understanding and ensured that her food was specially prepared to cater for her needs, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is outside of the centre of Mandalay with not much around it, making it reasonably peaceful, and it was easy enough to get transport to come and pick us up. Being Mandalay there were a lot of mosquitoes around the hotel and we were able to request mosquito nets for our beds (note that these aren't provided automatically, you have to ask). I would certainly return to this hotel if I ever come back to Mandalay and would recommend it to others.

This hotel was not a good experience for us. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room and all the devices with toxic chemicals did not really kill them. The tv did not work at first, then the air conditioning did not work. Even though it was cool outside, it was hot in the room. It was also very far from anything. There was no store to buy anything near by, nor did they have a hotel shop if you wanted a snack. On r of that, there was a big building being built and we had construction noise all afternoon when we were trying to rest. I would definitely not go there again.

The staff here were really nice & you can’t really fault a place for not being an upscale property when that’s just not what they are so I give it 4 stars (but really it’s a 3-star property from a comparative POV). All-in-all it gets the job done—the rooms are spacious & the staff were all sweet. But in general the building is kinda funky-bland (vs having design style) and don’t expect stuff like a great bed or great bath products. But if you manage your expectations then it’s a good & affordable option.

We stayed here around Christmas 4 nights. It is a real fine and beautiful place. The staff is extreme friendly and welcoming. The gardens and grounds are paradise, and the rooms are fantastic. Special word of thanks for the Greek manager Kiri. He gave us a very warm and friendly service. Not many places in the world with such a good and great hospitality. Breakfast and diner, absolutely fresh and tasteful. I am very sure that this is really the best, most tropical and beautiful resort of Mandaly. The Premier suites are the most beautiful. The pool area is awesome. We will return here one day.Thnks very much for the entire staff and management. Igo van Hoof and Stefan van Loock Belgium
