Marhaba Salem Resort comes highly recommended for its impeccable cleanliness and the warmth of its staff, who are celebrated for their exceptional service. The resort boasts an energetic atmosphere, complete with engaging entertainment, and sits in a sought-after location near attractions and a stunning beach. While the rooms provide comfort and are well-kept, some guests feel they could benefit from modernization. The resort's amenities generally meet guest expectations, though opinions on value differ due to some facilities and dining options not quite hitting the mark.

We booked a 2 week holiday for our first visit to Tunisia with family. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel.
All the staff are amazing! Friendly, professional and very helpful..
The food was super and a vast variety, simple pastas and pizzas to keep the kids happy to delicious Tunisian, Thai, Induan, Chinese cuisine and more!
The housekeeping staff were absolutely thorough and creative… every day the kids were super excited to see what decoration the housekeeper has made in the room!
The indoor pool is nice and warm, there are 3 outdoor pools, 1 with fun slides..
the beach is nice, although we were soo busy doing things in the hotel, that we went to the beach only 3 times..
the gym is well equipped,
the tennis court and crazy golf needs updating, but usable..
the kids club is entertaining for the little ones, the staff there- May, is very good with children, although the facilities need updating.
Best of all was the entertainment provided by the animation team.. they were very friendly and extremely talented! From drag acts, Cabernet, riverdance to quiz, belly dancing, and a lot more.. the children especially enjoyed the kids disco every evening..we all were thoroughly entertained for the 2 weeks..
The location is an easy walking distance to the walled city of Medina, and the harbour, go there to look around, not to shop. Easy to get duped.
We stopped at a coffee shop there run by a really nice and friendly family- Cafe Seles
There is a nice souvenir shop outside the hotel in palm centre, no one hassles you and all the prices are written on the goods, so not stressful..
The taxis are nice and cheap, on the meter.
We booked a quad biking tour with the hotel, it was reasonable and good fun.
The massage in the hotel was OK.. not brilliant.
If you are booking this hotel especially for the slide pool, do check with the hotel it’s opening period, as although they opened it early this year, we were informed that it normally does not open until may or June.
We are thoroughly satisfied with our stay here and will most definitely recommend it to our friends..

We arrived here on 27th Dec for 1 week.
Checkin was a little disorganized to say the least. We were taken to our room and after looking around for 5 minutes decided to ask for an alternative room. The first room had 3 beds in it , as a result we could not open the wardrobe doors.
We were given a different room straight away, this room was much better, more space, clean and welcoming.
The hotel is a little dated , but the staff all work extremely hard and are friendly and helpful. The bar staff are very attentive and always remember what you are having.
The restaurant is clean and inviting, and again the staff are very good. Food is very repetitive but we always found something to eat.
The entertainment during the day was lacking and in the evening it was your usual mini disco, club dance, etc.
New years eve i have to say was great, good atmosphere, good food and dancing.
Would i return, probably not, but for a reasonably priced break away it was just what was needed.
My only comment would be a little tip goes a long way....the staff work extremely hard.

Have just booked a last minute holiday to this resort we found the hotel and there staff very friendly and very helpful, the restaurant was great and the waiters very polite and helpful, a special thank you to our waiter James who took care of us every morning and every lunch time and nothing was every to much, these guys work very hard and do not expect anything. The beach was beautiful and spent most of our time laying around on the beach and getting regular drinks brought to us by Yamen. if i would comment on one negative thing it is the pressure put on you by the guy from the hotel shop trying to sell you bracelets at the highest price he can get, Tip if you go out the hotel and turn let there is a large shop that sells the same thing for less than half the price you would ever get of the shop in the hotel, don't feel nervous about going out and looking around it is very safe. Rooms 345, 346, 347, and 348 are very large rooms and you can see the pool and sea.

Such a nice place to come for a family holiday, and us as a couple would definitely bring our little boy back here. The hotel itself is so clean and tidy. The maids are so attentive and friendly, even go to the extent of lining toiletries up and making flowers etc on the beds with the sheets. The bar staff are really good. Reception desk staff can’t do enough to help. Restaurant staff always make sure your regular drinks are always on the table for you too and always a smile on their face. Everyone is so friendly. However the animation team literally make your holiday the best holiday as a family especially with kids you could wish for, especially Mario who always come across with a cheeky smile and always including our little boys teddy who he carries everywhere to make him confident in getting involved, special mention to Momo, Amin, and gringo also. The animation team do so much from the start of their shift to the very end, they play water sports, dance, football, darts, water polo, dance on a nighttime to name a few they also play requested songs and even went to the extent of helping us order a takeaway, they do the entertainment which finishes at 11:30 then they get the guests to go over to a disco if they’d like, so these lads literally work their socks off and never complain always a pleasure to see each of their faces. In our opinion as a couple, they make the holiday so special. However the only let down for us was the food it’s nice, just the choice isn’t great, and the meat is sometimes undercooked on the grill which you can watch them do. Also drink selection but if you can see past these two minor things, then I’d 100% come as it’s amazing 👨‍👩‍👦🥰🌞

We have just arrived home after 7 days at this hotel, it was absolutely brilliant..!! Never on my travels have I felt so welcome abroad. In fact we felt like royalty the way we were treated. Our table was dressed in the restaurant and the waiters constantly brought us drinks everywhere we sat wether it was inside, poolside or even on the beach. Activities offsite were very affordable, we did all there was to offer on the beach. We also went off site to do the camel/horse riding. Quad biking is very tame so you can take older children.
The animation team were fantastic all day and all night..!! Big shout out to gringa panda and mario they were always on hand and sat down to talk whenever they could and to our dining waiter who just could do enough for us.
We will definitely return to this hotel 🇬🇧🇬🇧

Official category 4''** Star. We give 4+++++****Star.
7 night with discount (All-In services) cost 679 euro(august 2020). I think the hotel was worth the price. The hotel is four kilometers from the center. Surrounded by good cafes and shops. Location great. The hotel is located in a very large area. Very beautiful private beach, playgrounds and several large swimming pools. There are activities for both couples and families. There is a large and spacious lobby for guests. The room was cozy, with a large bathroom and a sea-view balcony. We stopped at the main house. Breakfast was mediocre. Lunch was not the best. Dinner was pretty okay. Good cakes for dessert. Coffee quality very poor. All in all, you can be satisfied. The service from the reception is very pleasant except for the animation team. The animation flirts and touches too many women. The man who sold the massages was also very annoying. We couldn't even eat in peace, chased all the time. That's not okay. We also commend our room cleaner. Clean room, new water and a lot of effort in decorating the bed every day. Very nice lady. Thank You !!!
Definitely a hotel that we dare to recommend and where we would be happy to return to.

This was our first time visiting Tunisia and the Marhaba Salem and we’ve already booked to go back next year . We had two rooms , 601 and 602 , which had an internal door making it one big room which was ideal for keeping an eye on my daughters. The food is amazing . Breakfast has a hot food buffet and an egg station where they’ll cook you a fresh fried egg or omelette and there’s a morning goods section with freshly baked croissants ,choc au pain etc. All meals have a large cold meat, cheese, salad ,fruit and dessert selection and there’s a small children’s buffet . I’ve a picky eater but there’s so much selection she was never hungry. Our waiter was a star , after a couple of days he knew what we drank and he’d take our glasses and fill them as soon as we walked in the dining room and he’d get us spoons cos eating apple crumble and custard with a fork is a no no .
The bar guys are all lovely, they’ll make you anything you want although there aren’t any branded spirits here so if you want Malibu take your own as they don’t have any alternative .
The maids do an amazing job, cleaning the pool areas before tackling your rooms . Leave them some sweets on your pillow and they’ll leave you flowers on your bed.
The outdoor pools are saltwater but there are plenty of showers dotted around the grounds and it’s all kept spotlessly clean . The water slides are open from 10 til 12 and 2 til 4 …there is also a small paddling pool covered by a gazebo .
We went in October so there were plenty of loungers around the pool . Let the pool guy know where you want to sit and leave your towels , by the time you come back from breakfast he’ll have your loungers and a table set up .
The porter at the main desk (to the left, to the right ) is the guy to ask about the local area . The best advice from him was don’t get any of the taxis outside the hotel gates flag one down on the main road , they are definitely cheaper.
Give this place a go you won’t regret it

For our first experience of Tunisia, this hotel, along with the benefits of its sister Royal Salem hotel in the same grounds did not disappoint. Every member of staff was so friendly, I cannot name them all but our special evening waiters, Saeed and Mamood made our meal times special. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I say it as it is and we have experienced quite a few disappointments with past hotels. But this holiday holds many positives from the good choice of food, all labeled, something for everyone, and drinks a plenty with pool waiter service. You have a choice of several pools from busy with flumes and music to quiet shaded ones and smaller children paddle pool areas. The beach is right by the hotel and you can even have your lunch and snacks at the beach bar. The animation team are friendly but not pushy and if you are active there is plenty going on, darts, archery, table tennis, boules, water aerobics with great dance routines. The evening entertainment is pretty good and thank goodness no bingo but there is Karaoke once a week. Ashamed to say some deplorable people were allowed to sing the horrid version of 'Alice' along with the 4 letter swear words. This is a family hotel with plenty of children to hear it, so Animation team please note and ban the songs with swear words. On the downside the music is meant to stop at 11pm but at times the drunken revellers continue past midnight, which is not great if you have a room overlooking the stage and quiet pool where the evening entertainment takes place. Be aware this is a family hotel with a children's club and a children's disco every evening from 8.30 to 9pm. So do expect some screaming, unruly children.
Also there are signs around the pool area not to reserve the sun beds but by 6am they are all reserved with towels. The lifeguards are fantastic and will do everything possible to find you a sunbed but there are very few sun shades available and they have all been bagged by 6am.
If you have ambulatory problems then this is not really the place for you, although there are ramps and lifts and garden rooms but everywhere around the site the paths are a very pretty but very eneven crazy paving.
The Medina is a 1 dinar (30p) 15 minutes on the little bus ride away and worth a visit.
The rooms are adequate and the beds are very comfortable with excellent maid service every day.
Please do remember to tip, considering the Tunisian wage is minimal. 5 dinar is around £1.50.
All in all a fantastic holiday and like many other people we met we will return, but maybe at a quieter time of the year.

amazing experience from start to finish,
On arrival we was greated by very friendly and helpful staff. Was very busy checking people in but staff came and give the children their wrist bands so they could go get food and drinks.
All cases taken to room which was very big, clean and bright, the bed are comfortable and bathroom very big with both a bath and shower (hairdryer included).
Food was very nice and lots to pick from even for my picky eaters. Bar staff very friendly and bring your drinks over so no quing at the bars.
Animation team is great, all very friendly and definitely keep you entertained both during the day with activities and shows on an evening.
Hsouna was a god send to us he definitely made friends for life. My dad lost his wallet and only noticed when unpacking we told hsouna who stopped what he was doing an began to search the hotel after lots of running around we found the wallet under the bed 😣Fell out of his case, hsouna was genuinely happy for my day and seem more relieved then us haha.
Everyday he checked in on us making sure we was all ok and happy.
We are returning to this hotel again next year to go see are new friend.
Well done marhaba salem for providing us with a happy ,child friendly clean hotel for us to enjoy.

when we arrived at the hotel on 28th feb lovely reception from the dance group performance. receptions were customer service friendly and very helpful .
hotel was clean and spotless. room was amazing especielly for anniversary date the reception organised a little romantic gesture from the room to the dining table.
the food was spectacular especially the authentic Tunisian cuisine e.g. brick , couscous with vegetables , egg and meat. the desserts was spoiled for choice
The Tui Rep was fantastic , funny and very helpful especially where to go the market or to go have some lunch aka coffee shop.
the pool the beach and weather was very fortunate and lovely during that week.
overall we would like to recommend this hotel for the holiday you desire especially TUI
