The Riadh Palms Resort & Spa is lauded for its prime location near beaches and attractions, though some visitors have concerns about beach cleanliness. While the hotel boasts a vibrant atmosphere with nightly entertainment, it may not appeal to everyone. Guests appreciate the clean rooms and pool area but often criticize room conditions as outdated and poorly maintained. Service is perceived as disorganized, leading to frustration, and many guests feel the resort does not provide good value, pointing to issues with food, drink, and overall management.

The hotel itself appears grand when you first walk in and I was impressed. However, upon going into our room (which we paid extra for a sea view) the bath was stained with dirt and water marks. I asked for the bathroom to be cleaned and it took several hours, however, it was cleaned to an acceptable standard after I complained.

Most of the staff in the hotel work super hard and long hours for little money. Most were polite and friendly, therefore tip where you can as 10 TND is around £2.50 and many staff rely on tips.

For me, I would give the animation team 5 stars as they really made the holiday enjoyable. I enjoyed attending the evening shows, the music and entertainment was good, however, they also work really, really long hours but always remain friendly and smiling when you see them around the hotel.

We arrived at this resort and the first impression we had was horrible. Queue to check in, queue to eat. Some rude guests would push you to get food. There was no cutlery or plates. Our room had some issues but they were sort out with that complain . Resort staff are extremely polite, hardworking and beautiful resort but it needs some care.
Negative points.
Some rude guests that seems like a pigs.
Housekeeping didn't clean the room every day we had to always ask for towels and toilet paper.

This is the first time staying at the Riadh palms. The hotel is lovely, very big and lots to do. The pool area is very big.

If your staying in a double room reception will only give you 1 card and if you loose that, they give you a card to open your room then take it away with no electric in your room. When you tell staff about your card at reception they tell you they will come up to your room with a new card. They let me and my husband locked out our room for around 25 minutes then came up whenever they wanted and let us in. We got into the room with the card which had nothing working so no electric or anything. We also came at night so it was pitch black in the room which they wasn’t bothered about. When going back down to reception to tell them they then tell you, you have to pay 60 tunisia dina to get a new card.

When checking in, your room isn’t done at check in time which is 2pm, they leave you waiting in reception for a good hour and even longer then that. After paying tax on the website you book from they then make up another price and make you pay more tax. Me and my family had 3 different prices of tax we paid which shows they make it up.

Animation are good, they’re always happy, smiling and put on very good shows. Once the shows have finished they put on music for everyone. They go out there way and speak to each guest to make sure there ok

The restaurant is fantastic, the food is very nice and has a variety of choice for everyone. The staff in the restaurant are also very friendly.

The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, the maids are always happy and always make time to speak to you.

Honestly this is a terrible hotel. It's very tired and furniture is all mismatched and tatty.
Had to cue twice for 30 minutes each time to check in then told to Come back in 10 minutes to get room key. Went to room and it still wasn't ready.
Tiles in our bathroom are coming off the wall the shower leaked and the door didn't actually shut. My sons bathroom had only 1 spotlight working.
Reception staff are rude and just don't seem to care at all.
Maid didn't come to our room for 3 days even when I complained twice.
Food is just not nice, people fill several plates and just leave most of it to get more. You have to cue but people just push in. Bread is never there or is hard and the meat is tougher than a leather flip flop. Table mats are falling apart and are dirty even at beginning of service times. You have to hunt for cutlery.
Toilets are filthy, never any toilet roll in them or paper towels and the hand dryers don't work.
All drinks are served in little plastic kids party cups so a few mouth fulls and it's gone.
No smoking signs are ignored by everyone and staff actually give out ashtrays even in the dinner hall. Fag butt's are everywhere.
There is no beach bar just a man under a sheet attached to trees with a table and soft drinks or warm wine.
No ball for table tennis and none to buy in the shops. No staff seemed interested in getting the ball or the balls for the pool table.
Alacarte restaurant is a set menu of either Tunisian, sea food or sort of Italian but all the things you can also get in the dinner hall.
Ali baba agents selling boat trip, quads and camal safari approach all new arrivals saying you need to book now as they get busy and he has 6 other hotels to get to today. He never left the hotel! We was told the boat trip on Monday is for English and is all inclusive, and a chance to see dolphins. Only maybe 10 English on the boat with over 100 others and you had to buy drinks even water which they ran out off half way through. Also sold non alcoholic beer but ripped off the labels so we didn't know but saw them on way off the boat. Only went about half mile of shore and done a few circles. Absolutely no chance of dolphins.
I've never been so ill on holiday, both my sons too. No pharmacies open anywhere to get some stomach cramp meds so had to just be in agony for 2 days.
Only positives I can give are bar staff are friendly and animation team do well. The air-con in the rooms works.

Hi all, me and my wife have come to Tunisia for the first time staying at Riyadh Palms Resort & Spa, all inclusive.

So far the hotel is very good and excels choice with a lot to offer.

A great evening set off programs performed by the fabulous Animation team.

Every night the shows are different catering to all the visitors and not just for children with an array off entertaining, and engaging with the public we can’t fault the Animation Team.
Well done troops for entertaining all, it is hard work.
In particular the fire show was outstanding.

The Animation team not only provide the entertainment in the evening but also entertain the children during the day with plenty off kid s activities giving parents a much deserved rest.

Our bedroom facing the sea is quiet this time off year being off peak season. With the rooms facing the road a lot more vibrant.
This said the morning sun rise is a very welcome sight to wake one up with out the alarm clock.

Rooms are cleaned every day with towels and bed linens changed, floors and bathrooms cleaned, new towels left everyday.

This said a bit disappointed in that you have you give a deposit for the remote control so you can use the tv think it is 10dinar which you get back. We did not require this as the Wi-Fi was good enough.

Room sockets are two pin one either side off the bed but be warned the sockets are in the Center with the light switches either side so when one plugs in for your phone to be charged the switch is very difficult to use so make sure your plugs have a longer pin.

Know the critical food experience. Me and my wife are Indian, this said we both love spices, the lunchtime and evening meal is good with an array off choice for no vegetarian people for vegetarian it may be difficult in that the choice is minimum, with salads, roast potatoes, tomatoes , vegetable soup and pasta as well as pizza.

Plenty off drinks from soft drinks to beer wine available on tap drink as much or less as possible only all inclusive.

Overall a great place to stay as much off the day we were out exploring the local sights.

I’ll start my review by stating that the staff at the hotel especially animators, restraint, waiters and cleaners tried there very best. Reception and exchange desk were utterly rude towards myself and my family.
The room was lovely other than the toilet smelt occasionally.
The animating team were absolutely fantastic, mido, mario, Sam, yo-yo and Amina especially. One bad thing was one of the animation team began getting overly involved with myself and my family and fed us a whole bunch of lies. Later to be revealed once I arrived home, my poor dad gave and gave and gave to this staff member in the hope to help him study.. don’t fall for that story it’s for his visa😂 other than him the animation and entertainment made our whole holiday the best it could be.

Honestly hope no one falls into his slimy games again like myself and my family did.

Food was utterly atrocious and repetitive to the point me and my whole family were I’ll and had to start eating out even though we’d paid for an all inclusive holiday.

The lifts weren’t ideal 2 lifts either end of the hotel for 1400 guests on average.

The use of continuous plastic cups was ridiculous. No where near enough cuttlery, plates and glasses for there guests.

Definitely not a 4* maybe a 2*

Hotel was dated overcrowded and dirty throughout. Poor water system toilet constantly leaked and didn’t flush well when you report it nothing gets done. Same for the communal toilets which often flooded with no toilet paper. Not one single disable toilet for my sister who was in a wheelchair. Lifts far too small and the guests would just pile in, lifts would also break done whilst you were in them!

Tables in dinning are dirty with flies everywhere, no cutlery and the queues were ridiculous! Other guest push in front and were rude (hardly any English guests).

The hotel and bar on the beach give you the smallest plastic cups I have ever seen in my life so no wonder why the queues were so long.

Beach was beautiful however it was littered with cigarettes, plastic cups and broken glass etc.

No issues with the maids, they were actually very friendly and helpful.

Animation team were good but did agree the hotel was of poor quality and recommended and few decent ones not to far away.

Don’t go to the market place booked through the spa man as they take you to some carport shop which you get stuck in as they are there trying to sell you carpets which you feel pressured to buy (we didn’t buy anything)

We did the quad bikes which was good however Ali baba said the group would be 6-8 English people and when we arrived it was approximately 30 others from different hotels so made the experience longer and less enjoyable.

Overall would not stay here again or recommend this hotel if you want to feel safe or clean in the environment you are going to be living in for however many days.

We loved this hotel. We stayed for three weeks and enjoyed it immensely. The staff were great. Our room cleaner was fabulous and everyone was helpful and accommodating. The indoor and outdoor pools were beautiful and fun. The seaside was spectacular. The food was good with lots of choice at every meal. The desserts would have been better if they had used real cream more often, but at the price we paid, you can't have everything.
We did lots of tours, our favorite was the the two day trip to the desert.
Remember to always tip. Tip the waiters, the room cleaners, the tour guides, the people who help with your luggage, the washroom cleaner etc. One Dinar is about 25 pence. We always gave between one and 10 Dinars (10 is about 2.50 pounds). People get paid next to nothing in Tunisia so very small amounts of money are really appreciated and will make your holiday a lot more fun and ethical!

7 night holiday. Sadly the gallery for this hotel is very misleading and needs updating.
No bar/restaurant on the beach as pictured.
Restaurant/bar staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Sammi.
Food - good variety, could be repetitive, but always tasty and hot.
Rooms....need TLC.
Lifts....nightmare, often out of order, and it was a lucky dip as to whether it went to your floor or not.
Alibaba....quite persistent with the sale of trips, but, we did do the pirate boat trip and that was excellent value for money, and very entertaining.
Security on the beach was fantastic, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them.
SPA, would recommend a massage, very good value for money.
Each room would benefit from a welcome pack to provide you with details of the hotel/bars/restaurants. We were given our room card, and a card with meal times on and that was it.
Animation team always had a smile on their faces and work very hard.

Alcohol, I saw guests get wine during meals. Not sure what time the bar opens at the entertainment level. They were sucking back booze at the American bar reception floor at 7:00 a.m. so I assumed they were not able to wait

Pool was lovely when I was there last Oct. Noise? well, with patio doors closed it would be quieter in any room. Rooms without sea view? cheaper and same size and facing the Pearl would be amongst the quietest in the area
