The hotel's clean and well-equipped rooms, though noted by some as compact, boast impressive sea vistas. Reviewers celebrate the attentive staff and vibrant atmosphere, complete with live entertainment and tranquil poolside relaxation. We spent one week at this hotel in September 2019 and the only thing that comes to my mind regarding this holiday is PERFECTION :)
The room was very clean and cozy and we sometimes found in the room when we came back form the beach small gifts from the hotel, like some flowers, chocolate, a bottle of wine etc. A disadvantage that we had was that the rooms was the last one on the hallway, so we sort of had half sea view. Also, since the room was the last one, the cleaning lady reached our room around 4 pm, when we came back from the beach, so it was a little uncomfortable. We had to decline her service some days.
The pool area was very clean, spotless to say so, with a lot of places to stay. Also, the aerobic activities were very nice and funny. Thumbs up to the entertainers.
The beach area is quite big, with nice beds and umbrellas and very important point, very safe. Guys were patrolling along the way and also they had very nice guard dogs.
The best part of the hotel is the food, which was literally AMAZING. It is an all inclusive resort and what i can say is that the quality of the food services is one of the best i ever saw in a hotel. You feel like eating like a queen :)

Overall, a perfect holiday in a perfect hotel!

My husband and I visited in October 2019 for 2 weeks the hotel and staff are amazing we can find nothing negative to write about this hotel having stayed in many adult only hotels on package holidays I can say this is by far the BEST we have stayed in. All the staff are fantastic and the service is outstanding especially the pool restaurant staff Mohamed Azouzi was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and have beautiful sunrise views. The whole hotel including the pool area and beach were spotlessly clean never had any issues finding beds. Hedi the assistant manager was fab such a lovely person friendly and entertaining always made me smile you can tell he loves his job and is proud of the hotel. We would definitely highly recommend the couple massage spa well worth the money so relaxing and a great experience. We had a relaxing 2 weeks and we can't wait to return in May 2020 please could we book room 610 if possible and available I can't thank you enough for such an amazing holiday

Wow, what a fabulous holiday we just had at the Scheherazade, two weeks of complete relaxation, from check in (quick and easy, with a refreshing welcome drink) to check out. This was entirely down to the fabulous staff, everybody is so helpful, considerate, friendly and always with a smile.

What really made it truly special for us was the food. I'm always a little concerned visiting somewhere new as I have food allergies and intolerances, gluten, milk, citrus, capsicums etc. I needn't have worried. Within an hour of arrival Wiem ( Tui hotel guest relations) made herself known and then set up a meeting with Chef Emil. He listened, understood my concerns and took it all in. From there on in I was treated with special dishes at every meal. Executive Chef Lotfi and 2 Chefs by the name Emil went seriously above and beyond for the whole time we were there and are a true credit to the hotel. For anyone concerned about allergies, just ask, all dishes are allergen labelled though too. Thanks also to Mehdi, usually our waiter, always there with our drinks and always with a smile

The hotel is lovely, clean and well kept, the gardens are beautiful too.
All rooms, from what we could tell, have a similar layout and a balcony looking across the gardens towards the beach. We were on the 2nd floor, level with reception, some of the ground floor rooms had swim up pools. Thanks to Leila, our cleaning lady, looking after us.

We chose to use the quiet garden by day, rather than beach or poolside, but all areas are lovely and well kept. Thanks to Khalifa for keeping us supplied with drinks and ice-cream.The main pool is an unusual shape, but this allows for all abilities. The beach is beautiful soft, light sand and again kept well and raked each day, althoughit's only a little seaweed. The hotel bit is separated from the next hotel by rope and there are security guards and lifeguards on the beach too. So no rogue sellers entering anywhere trying to sell you stuff you dont want, bonu.

Our Tui rep, Alladin, was very informative and helpful. Being local he has a wealth of knowledge. We found him to be very approachable and helpful. He made you aware of what was on offer, but at no point though, did he try to push you into paying/going on excursions etc. This has happened to us at other hotels (not TUI) that we've stayed in. Anything hotel related, go to Wiem, Tui hotel guest relations, she is the most bubbly, happy, helpful person you could come across.

We can't wait to get back to the Scheherazade, definitely August next year, but sooner too if we can xx

We visited on the 11th July for 11 nights with my mum and dad also accompanying us.
On arrival at the hotel the outside doesn’t look much, once you enter the lobby and the bar you can’t help but be impressed. We were sat at the bar with a lemon drink and cold towel whilst we filled in paperwork and then shortly after invited to reception to check in which is brief and easy. We went to our room and the room was wow the decor and space was lovely. We then opened the curtains to enter the balcony and we were taken aback with the fabulous views, it’s was beautiful!!

The restaurant is well set up and the food on offer would suit all requirements, there was a lot of chicken but all cooked in different ways, the food is presented beautifully and you didn’t know where to start, the only thing in the restaurant that was disappointing was one night we were sat facing the section where the salad bowls are made, the young man making them dropped the knife on the floor and proceeded to pick it up and carry on using the same knife to continue to prepare them, this made me wonder if this is happening frequently but thankfully we had no issues with the food. Maybe a reminder to staff about basic food hygiene needed.

The pools are amazing, large and clean, my only advice if you want a bed is to tip the lifeguard to save your beds, we came down on the first morning at 0800 and there wasn’t one free bed to be had, we were very surprised as we have never been to an adults hotel before where the is such shortness of beds, especially towels on beds so early and then not been used some days till lunch, I feel this needs to be looked at as surely it should be first come first served.

Regrading the rooms no issues at all just minor things that maybe need looking at so that all rooms are at the same standard, in out room the whole stay we had 1 dressing gown and in my parents they had 2 dressing gowns and 2 pairs of slippers which we never had, as a 4* plus we felt maybe more attention is needed, this Did not reflect our stay at all but it’s the little things that stand out.

We found the evening entertainment hate to say but boring, the singers are ok but we really feel the entertainment needs looking at, especially the fact that it’s reported every week and exactly the same songs are sang. In reception there is a video showing of cabaret dancers etc, none of this takes place, I feel awful saying it but this really was the thing that let our stay down,

The staff are amazing, everyone is so friendly and makes time to say hello, you really do feel special, so thank you to you all

Cleanliness is exceptional, morning till night staff were cleaning

In the evenings you are waiting sometime for drinks, even if you go yourself you are to.d to sit down and bring them out, this is great but sometimes very slow

We will miss the beautiful views and the hotel

We will visit again, but maybe when the evenings re more varied

Thank you for a lovely stay, we have just given honest feedback

Where to begin.. we arrived late on the evening after an hours delay at Newcastle Airport. We were greeted at the doors of the hotel by a gentleman and showed to a comfortable sofa. We were brought refreshing lemon drinks and warm cloths and jasmine water to wash our hands with. None of this standing at the desk to check in, we remained seated and everything was brought to us. We were taken to our room by a porter and what a beautiful room it was (if not a little small). We were showed around the room (safe is free) and were shown how everything worked. On arrival to our room there was fresh fruit, wine and water as well as tea/coffee making facilities and as we arrived late and had missed dinner, 2 plates of food were brought to us within 10 minutes of arriving. We had dressing gowns and slippers in the room. We had room 610 which had wonderful views of the beach and the pool area and was very central for everything. The staff at this hotel are second to none, nothing is too much trouble, the service is impeccable. Drinks are served to you on your sun loungers- beach included. Mattresses are brought to you for your sunbeds and pool towels are provided which can be changed daily. The grounds and hotel are immaculately kept and have a beautiful smell, we noticed oil burners around and I wish we had asked what they used as it was gorgeous. Going back to the staff, the restaurant team are phenomenal, nothing is too much trouble, we tipped every single meal time as the service was just impeccable. The food was great, I’m a really fussy eater so I did struggle at times but always found something, even if it was chips. The cakes and pastries where outstanding, the Oreo cheesecake was the best I’ve ever eaten, there was constant fresh water, wine and beer and meal times and freshly squeezed juice at breakfast as well as pots of coffee. Drinks are typical all inclusive style. We were a little apprehensive at leaving the hotel grounds and Sousse itself is very rundown and the roads and drivers leave a lot to be desired. We got a taxi to Sousse Mall one day and the hotel warned us to pay no more than 15 dinars, the driver tried to charge us 22.5 dinars and 20 on the way back. All in all the holiday was fabulous, weather wasn’t great as it rained most days but that can’t be ordered unfortunately, you get what Mother Nature gives you. Highly recommended hotel

Myself and my wife stayed at the Scheherazade for one week. What a fantastic week it was! We arrived at the hotel in the evening where we were offered fresh lemon juice. We experienced a swift check in with a very welcoming reception staff. The room was very clean and modern with lots of space for storing your clothes, the airco was very good. We noticed that the drain in the shower was partially blocked and informed reception, the issue was fixed within 30 minutes.

The food in the main restaurant was fantastic. An open buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner service that offered european style food but also Tunisian and Arabic influence foods. Amazing table service from all the waiters who took care of your every need. Mr Wajdi Aouini, the restaurant manager could not have provided us with better service. He was extremely friendly and always greeted us, introduced us to all the staff and made sure we were always happy.

The entertainment in the evening was great fun with many talented acts. My wife especially liked the live singer Nouha, who performed an array of English and French songs. Kamel kept the drinks flowing for us, always had a big smile on his face and made great conversation. Helmi from the animation team provided great spirit and he was also the aqua gym instructor who motivated everyone to join in.

The main pool, relaxation pool and beach area were kept impeccably clean thanks to the various lifeguards including Ali who provided parasols for us. The waiting staff by the main pool snack bar were always very helpful and attentive. We never had to wait long for a refreshing drink or delicious food.

The housekeeping were friendly and helpful. Always honouring a request of ours and keeping the room nice and tidy and refilling the tea and coffee.

We had a couples sunrise photoshoot on the beach during our time in the hotel. Mourad and his partner took lovely photos of us that we will always have as a memory.

We would like to thank every memeber of staff in the hotel for providing us with an unforgettable holiday. We will be back neext year but this time for 2 weeks. We highly recommend that you visit this amazing hotel!

We have just returned from 10 nights at the Tui Blu Scheherazade and what a fabulous time we had! Refreshing lemon drink and delicious and delicate sweetmeats on arrival, along with jasmine water and a cloth to wash your hands. Fresh fruit and wine in the room. Stunning view and the sound of the sea. Heavenly! Level of cleanliness throughout the hotel of extremely high standard. Food was divine and such a huge choice. Staff work so hard and are so affable and charming. Special thanks to Akhrem for having our special table ready for us each evening and for being so attentive and special thanks too to Mohamed Amine for looking after us so brilliantly at breakfast and lunch time. Pool was busy, but we always managed to find loungers each day by the poolside and pool staff are great at moving things about here and there to accommodate demand. Had a great photoshoot session - thoroughly recommend this. Was so much fun and came away with some lovely photos. The couples spa experience is not to be missed if you fancy a bit of pampering. The daily Aqua Gym was great fun and makes you feel a little bit virtuous. Daily water polo also a must, even if you're just as I was a spectator. Although not affiliated to Tui, the water activities available on the beach are excellent value. 100% recommend the paragliding. Yes, it was a bit scary at first but well worth braving it! Evening entertainment a little mediocre but enjoyable enough (need to keep an eye on the quiz scoring though, Dave!) Gala Night on Thursdays not to be missed and wow! What a beach party that was! Could wax lyrical for ages yet as there's so much to praise and recommend! A huge thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so memorable. Will definitely be coming back!

Second time at the Scheherazade and only 11 months since the first time. We arrived on June 16th and left on June 26th.
This time we had the other half’s parents with us so we had booked two rooms. A bit of a cock up at reception when we arrived and found that our allocated rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel. However, this was resolved unfortunately taking nearly 2 hours but we were not letting this spoil the holiday. We had a walk around and a couple of drinks before going to our rooms. We had rooms 800 & 807 on the 3rd (top) floor which overlooked the pool and the sea. A smaller room than last year but perfectly adequate and clean and comfortable.
It was nice to be welcomed back by the staff who we made friends with last year. Lotfi and Saieed in the restaurant always making sure we had a table for 4 and nothing is too much trouble for these amazing guys. Mohamed on the beach still working tirelessly in the heat keeping everyone happy with drinks. And Yassine in the beach restaurant who made us laugh at lunchtime despite working hard in the heat. People often forget the cleaning staff but Rebah cleaned our rooms daily without fuss and did a great job and always smiling. Be prepared to gain a couple of lbs in weight as the food here is fantastic. There is a tremendous variety and everything gets replenished very quickly.
A noticeable difference this year was that the towel brigade were reserving pool beds very early. However, the night security guard who was on duty till 6am made the people stay with their towels which was quite amusing for us early risers to watch ! Don’t let this put you off as there are plenty of sun beds available. The pool is lovely. We didn’t go in the sea much as there was a lot of seaweed but obviously the hotel can’t control that.
Another great holiday and we would definitely go again.

On arrival at the Schéhérazade we were greated by concierge who took our cases and ushered us into the top bar, where we were given a cold drink and luxurious cakes!, David the rep came around and explained that our rooms were not quite ready, which was ok as we were comfortable.
We upgraded our room to a swim up room the left side of the hotel, which unfortunatley we requested to move after a day, issues of noise from the entrance door and other minor issues, this was possible and we were moved to room 116 swim up also. room was quiter and slightly bigger. aircon quite noisy,
bed comfy, shower good, room change everyday, clean towels, robes and bedding, but be warned they start early and wake you up outside!
big bottles of water replenished daily and wine in the room each day if you ask!

The restaraunt.. very good, waiters super friendly, saheed especially!
beautiful cakes and desserts, some dishes were not warm enough but still tasty. loads of choice! obviously no pork sausages or bacon if your expecting that.
the last night was a black and white gala night and the chefs made a beautiful effort! thankyou!
Also various themes each night.
The lower bar has a coffee shop which put out tasty rolls etc at lunchtime.
Personally as this was a neon lit bar at night, its a shame that the bar was so dull, no lighting just a empty fridge and a few wauters blending drinks!
it should be turned into a show stopper cocktail bar area!
Tunisian night on the tuesday was fun, belly dancer and band, but the other entertainment was awful!
David the rep was great, very helpful.

Pros...desserts, themed nights, lovely food! comfy sunbeds, amazing staff, gardeners, waiters, cleaners working super hard all day everyday! security around the hotel entrances. spa amazing and cheap!, activities,
hotel shop, most friendly lovely man ever!!!!

Cons... hotel rooms could do with a refurb. aircon average, drinks average, the white wine was not great, cold pools. beautiful white beach but could be cleaned to remove plastic. entertainment average.

With tweaks this place could be excellent!

Impeccable, nicely kept property with excellent (though not too spacious) rooms overlooking the sea. Some rooms on the ground floor have private pools. Beach is well-kept, clean; pool is very nice (though towels are not provided). Dinner is sumptuous and appeals to all taste buds, while breakfast is boring and average (even below average) with lots of spicy and heavy dishes, which all taste the same. Little investment is made in the cheese selection, as only the cheapest, hence inedible, Tunisian dairy products are served. And here is the end of the plusses.

Despite the favourable conditions listed above, our stay was EXTREMELY disappointing. Usually, disappointment is the result of one or two things. In our case, this one thing was the pool service. As it turns out, the pool service (that is, anything happening near the pool) is not run by the hotel, but by an external provider. We have lived in Tunisia for three years, hut never experienced so much unprofessionalism, incompetence, ignorance, lack of training, rudeness, and arrogance as we did here. Waitressing is simply disastrous: unless you are a client ready to spend on alcohol and overpriced dishes, you will have to wait for your turn over one hour, which isn't followed by apologies, only a shrug of the shoulders. And there was no apology for the sharp piece of plastic in my spaghetti, which I almost swallowed. The incident was only followed by utter disgust from the waiters, who even asked for a tip! Zero work ethics, zero attentiveness.

TUI is a reputable chain, guaranteeing good service at a high price. No matter who is running the pool facility, it is the hotel's management to take both responsibility and action. Based on this, I would be afraid to recommend the hotel with a good heart.
