Many travelers commend the Sheraton Montazah Hotel for its spotless facilities and family-friendly atmosphere, although some feel the rooms could benefit from modernization. The hotel's prime location earns high marks for easy access to Alexandria's attractions and stunning views. Guests are often impressed with the range of amenities, including a delightful breakfast and exceptional service, but some believe there's still room for enhancement in terms of room size and luxury feel. The location of this hotel is quite exquisite and the views from the sea-view rooms is priceless.
It’s better suited for leisure since its next to montazah palace and district.
The f&b are average and the staff friendliness is average too.
Try to get high floor rooms since the hotel is very busy and very loud at night.

Lying in a premium location just next to Montazah gardens and overlooking the Mediterranean sea, the hotel is very accessible. Near to plenty of restaurants and attractions. The hotel front is under major renovations, I hope the rooms will have that too as it is the same for years now and need renovations as soon as possible. The check-in process was fast and very professional. The room had a side sea view which was fine, it was a small room as nearly all rooms are. The furniture of the room needs renovations. Housekeeping was good but should give attention to wardrobe cleaning. Breakfast was acceptable, staff were very friendly. Overall experience was very good.

Very nice place, stuff are very friendly and helpful.
Food is good. Beach is very nice.
The room view is perfect you can see the sea directly and the Montaza palace garden,
You can walk to the palace.
The only comment I have is that the hotel is very old it needs to be renewed, but the hotel is still a nice place to stay

During my families stay we occupied 3 rooms and the Presidential Suite. Upon arrival there was a small issue that the GM was able to quickly resolve. The breakfast everyday was delicious the servers were extremely helpful with our off the menu requests. The beach attendants were working very hard on a daily basis to keep the beach clean for guests. The club lounge attendants always made sure that we were happy during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel if your staying in Alexandria.

The entrance of the hotel is very beautiful, however, once in the room it is very small, fixtures are dated, glass is chipped and metal is rusty and really not good, finishing is poor, needs updating and not a 5 star, rooms are more like 3 star.

Air con is also very poor and very old, once turned on it had water dripping out onto the floor and was not very cool.

They provide complimentary slippers however, only one pair for a two person room. Flooring in the room is chipped, old and very poor quality.

I have lots of pictures which i will be sending to Sheraton in my complaint about the hotel.

It was sold as a sea view room however was more of a side view and not a full sea view, also the balcony was so small there was barely enough room for one person to stand on it, no space for a chair to sit and enjoy the sea. Also gaps at the top of the balcony door so big that you can see light coming through it.

Glass shelves in the bathroom had large chips, shower rails were rusty, gaps in the ceiling tiles in the bathroom, also TV kept disconnection from the internet every few minutes.

Breakfast was ok and a good variety, however, there were no glasses and many dishes in the buffet were empty. we had to ask for a glass for fruit juice and the waiter put out 4 glasses which were immediately gone leaving it empty again. The tables next to ours was piled with empty plates and half eaten food from the previous occupants, this was like this for the full half an hour we sat there with no attempt by staff to clear it.

Internet was very poor and we had to return to reception 3 times as they kept providing the incorrect code for the wifi.

The water in the sink and shower was cold through out the stay, i did report this to reception on arrival as well as the problems with the TV, they assured they would fix this, however, that evening and the next morning neither had been repaired so it was cold showers for all in the room!

I chose this hotel to be able to sit on the balcony with a coffee, i expected 5 star luxury with a brand like Sheraton and barely got a 3 star experience, i could go on about the poor quality of this hotel, however, i think you have the picture. On the plus side the location and view are great. There are other 5 star hotels in the area which i considered however chose the Sheraton as its got such a good name. I really wouldn't bother next time.

I went from a Sheraton in the United States to this Alexandria Sheraton. The contrast is mind blowing. If you are from the United States, think motel 6. I was shocked that this is a Sheraton.

The AC control are two dials. They looked like they are from 80s. Only heating was working. Everything was like from 1980s. They are tired and appeared dirty.

There was a gap in the balcony wall near the balcony door. Cold air blew inside. I found this because the curtains moved.

There are rusts in the ceiling. That's right. The ceiling inside the bathroom and around the cabinets are metal panels. A lightbulb dropped out of the socket in the bathroom.

The toilet tank occasionally leaked water and it won't flush. I opened the water tank to fix it and they tied foam inside as the floatation. And the foam is breaking down.

Do not trust the Marriott Sheraton website pictures. Avoid this Sheraton at all costs.

Great hotel with a fascinating view on the sea. Wonderful staff every where at the hotel. Many thanks go to Mr. Eslam Mahrous. He is not just a hotel manager, he is a great human being. He would take care of you as if you are at his own house. In concrete terms : the hospitality industry would be proud of people like him.

Many thanks to Eman and Heba from housekeeping as well, for their sincere services. They would treat you in such a warm way until you feel that you are part of their family member.

Restaurant staff are not less, they are always ready to fulfill your request and they save no efforts to make your breakfast experience a great one.

In a word, the hotel has an exceptional value : its people.

Staff is always the main differentiator for Sheraton Motazah, they're really helpful, supportive, smily, and make you feel home. Even before my stay, I received a welcome note as a platinum member to ensure a comfort stay and the hotel has done the required upgrade to considering my requirements. I also received multiple calls during my stay to ensure every thing is in place.

Breakfast & lonuge quality was really high and service staff was always at there with a usual hospitality. My comment only to have different items on the breakfast menu during the week. Room was always clean, a few things were not working and the team has done the required fixes on time.

Beach & pool staff also were very nice. pool quality is perfect, beach also is good as well but needs more work to handle the sea weeds. I suggest to have some dedicated machine, instead of manual cleaning and to be more efficient. I've seen also beach team working on cleaning up the water from manually to have better experience and it has really helped.

Decoration and furniture I'd say it's a bit old, that's why there's a running renovation project but it needs to run faster as it's been a long time.

Overall experience was really nice & cozy. Sheraton Montazah is my preferred option in Alexandria.

I visited this hotel in Sept 2021, they claim to be safe and follow Corona protocol, but really nobody cares. The rooms are old, restaurants have significantly deteriorated over the years, the lounge is a joke, stay away from this hotel!! Nobody is caring to wear a face mask, people are smoking in elevators, nobody cares even after pointing this out to management several times. It seems Egyptian culture someone said…..dont go here… it will spoil your trip.

From the first moment I made my reservation, I was interacted with by the Guest relation and asked if I was planning something to offer assistance. As soon as they knew it was my wedding anniversary, they told me that they would reserve a suitable room and prepare a suitable cake for this occasion, and as soon as I arrived, I was contacted by the Customer Satisfaction Department ( Nourhan) came to tell me that everything was ready, and the receptionist (Yasmine) booked the best room facing the sea with a wonderful panoramic view. They made a cake suitable for this occasion, and wherever I moved, I found a welcome everywhere from everyone, especially Mohamed Abdel Fadil from the main restaurant throughout the visit.
I thank everyone for the warm welcome and the promise to visit again
