Triomphe Hostel is very central, there are alot of shopping, markets, restaurants and very near to corniche. You can take minibuses to go Library and corniche route. Hostel is at 5th floor of apartment. Its elevator very old and classic. Its good to ride this kind of elevator and fantastic. Checkin is fast. Rooms clean, bathroom is good and ac is very good and silent, beds and pillow cosy, spacement enough. There are some rooms which doesnt have ac. Only con this hostel there is no brekfast service. In my opinion they should think about twice, to start day with breakfast is very good it might be basic or continental or extra charge. Hotel staff is also good and helpful. Overall is good
Stayed there last weekend for a night. I called only hours before arriving and was given the choice for a room with shared bathroom (300 EGP) or a private bathroom (450). I went for the latter. The room had a balcony with (side-) view of the Mediterranean Sea, was clean and had 3 single beds. What else can you expect? The hotel is on the 5th floor of an old building, connecting 5 apartments. Staff is super nice and helpful.
Booking was very straightforward online. The hotel is on the 5th floor of the building and travel from street level to the hotel reception is via an antiquated lift complete with exterior metal doors and then interior wooden doors. Close all the doors and the lift works every time! Our room was a large spacious twin room with a balcony on 3 sides, overlooking the street on 2 sides, and glimpses down a side street to the Mediterranean sea. TV and fridge were welcome extras. The ensuite bathroom facilities were reasonably clean and spacious. Lots of street noise but it was surprising how quickly we became immune to the noise! Great location one block back from the sea. Pleasant lounge area in the lobby area also with a TV. Wifi is very erratic but eventually works. Reception staff were very helpful and obliging and arranged a car for a day trip to El Alamein (LE 800). We would definitely recommend the Triomphe Hotel as a good value 2 – 3 star hotel. …
The Triomphe Hotel is a budget class, but exceeds that title in many ways. I took the train there from Cairo for a 3-day stay, and was very pleasantly surprised at what my hotel offered. I had a corner room on the top floor, with windows looking East and South, and a view of the Mediterranean Sea just a half block to the north. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the old time elevator was a turn-of-the-century delight, and I loved spending down time in both my room and the lobby area (where WiFi was best). I travel often to foreign destination, and would rate this bargain hotel in the top 20% of places that I have been in the last 5 years. It is also in the heart of the city, and only a few blocks from what turned out to be my favorite bar -- the Spitfire (highly recommended, for socializing and listening to classic rock music). I loved the city, and this hotel was part of that excellence.…
We were in a residential area in Al Amriya but decided to be in the city after our trip in Cairo. After checking the lists of hotels in the centre of Alexandria we decided to choose Triomphe Hotel. The beds are neatly arranged and as the weather is very friendly the room balcony is the best place to sit and talk with your companions. The guests areas are well arranged to sit and read/watch tv programs. The hotel staff are very supportive though they have aged differently and will definitely stay again in Triomphe once I'm back in Alexandria. Thank you
