Very clean room, nice view from the room.
Super polite and friendly stuff at the hotel.
Good food at the restaurant from the ground floor of the hotel.
Close to the beach, in the middle of the Mamaia easy to go to the main attractions of the resort.

My friend Samuela and I spent 4 days in this hotel during Sunwaves festival a few days ago.
I felt definitely at home, placed on the seaside, rooms fully cleaned and well furnished.

A VER VERY POLITE, COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL STAFF. they guaranteed the highest quality in services for us. I would love to dedicate a special thanks to Angelo, one of the hotel's restaurant waiter. He was so kind to us, a real gentleman.

If I come back to SW17 next year, I will definitely choose Hawaii Beach Hotel again and again.

If you want to eat in the evening you have to be very tolerant.

Everything were in slow motion despite that in appearance many waiters were available.

The cleanliness is not the first and the last issue. The table cloth was dirty from the beginning. We request to the waiter to change it and the reaction was : to many airs. I wonder how is in the kitchen where the clients can not see...

Another issue is that the restaurant doesn't respect the law in accordance with the smoking inside is not aloud.

Next issue is that if you are not an "important" person, you will be treated as such. Don't imagine a restaurant where the celebrities are eating. The difference will be make by the quantity of gold, how loud and naughty you can speak and laugh.

After 40 min of waiting, nothing happens and we thought that we became invisible. The food arrived after another 45 min of waiting. Despite of the high prices, the food wasn't tasty and we didn't finish the plates.

Similar issue were observed to other tables (food was send it back to the kitchen, the clients left due to long time of waiting)

In the end I think that we and other clients where unlucky and probably our expectations where too high.

100% we will never come back.

the place of the hotel is great. you are close to the beach. the rooms are ok in relation of the price you are paying for.

unfortunately there is absolutely no-go-behaviour at the reception. when checking out, the reception woman accused us of having robbed the bath robes, because the room maid reported, that they were not in the rooms. after telling them, that a) we did not see any bath robes in our room while staying there and b) offering, that they can look into our luggage, if they do not believe, they just ignored us by repeating, that we have taken the bath robes and need to pay for it.

furthermore they told me and my wife, that we would have had to check the inventary list, when entering the room. since we have not done, they said, and the bath robes are not in our rooms, we are to blame for the loss of this bath robes.

so please be aware: when entering a room in the hotel hawaii beach, CHECK THE INVENTARY FIRST, if there´s everything in the room. if you need a list to be able to check the room, ask the reception. otherwise you are to blame, if there s anything missing.

in the end after raising our voices and asking for the manager, they checked the "sum of the bath robes" on the floor and found suddenly out, that everything is ok.

they did not apologize for their mistake or their unaccaptable behaviour, but just said goodbye. unbelievable for a 4-star-hotel.

it was our third trip to mamaia. we were in the richmond hotel and the hotel california club before. everything was fine there, staff was very friendly.

hawaii beach hotel is the least of the worst, when you accept to be treated as a guest.

I stopped by for lunch on Tuesday. I had the Greek salad.
I thought the presentation was a little 'agricultural' with no finesse in the preparation of the ingredients.
I could have fed at least two people.
No complaints about the quality or freshness of the ingredients.
Have to say good value for the sheer size of the dish!!

This hotel is well located since it is right on the beach and situated right by the shopping bazaar and a variety of other hotels and places to eat. The hotel staff were mostly but not always pleasant and helpful. There is one small, very hot and tiny elevator though you can easily walk up as long as you are not higher than the third or fourth floor. However, although the rooms are big, they need renovation and better cleaning. The shower was gross, seriously, with black mold and a fairly clogged drain. There was no Kleenex or other sundries offered. The balcony door kept coming off the hinge; one of the lamp shades had wire sticking out, and the light was not plugged in. A helpful bellman came to the rescue with a new shade but had to lift the mattress up to access an extension cord below the bed slats in order to get the job done. Our friends had to change their room three times in order to get working AC. There is AC in the lobby and in the hallways but not in the stairwell, the elevator and most importantly the restaurant. The included breakfasts were literally the worst we have ever experienced on our travels. On the plus side, their restaurant food for lunch or supper was quite good and not terribly expensive. Music plays all the time and late into the night but with the balcony door closed, it wasn't a problem. Internet is free but was consistently unreliable and weak. The beach has lots of room but lounges and umbrellas cost! These were $30 Lei per lounge, so it is not an insubstantial cost over a few days. The beach itself is very, very crowded and really not clean, with lots of cigarette butts and much, much more. Still, it is nice sand and very shallow, warm water so swimming here or just cooling off is a 'breeze.' All in all - this is an acceptable hotel but you need to be aware that it doesn't deserve more than three stars.

The hotel is nice, rather new, facing the sea. However, the whole experience was completely spoiled during both evenings (we stayed two nights, fortunately!) by the loud music played past midnight in the restaurant at ground floor (Fabaria). We were patient during first night. As I write, in the second night we had to call reception three times to have them do something about it. At around 00:20 they decided to lower it down. But it lasted for only 10 min, after which my wife went to the reception to have it sorted out once for all. Absolutely disappointing to go through all this for the price we had to pay, roughly 175 EUR/night for the standard room (larger room gets to 220/night). For this money you can stay at JW Marriott in Bucharest and receive more respect as a customer. In summary, if you plan to rest, this is not the place, definitely not good value for your money. Actually be very, very careful when you choose any hotel on the Romanian seaside, you may be facing nasty surprises. Like a Romanian saying: "outside the fence is painted, inside the leopard is waiting" (...to eat you alive).

THIS IS A REVIEW OF THE HOTEL'S RESTAURANT "FABARIA":

Food was OK, by that's the only positive thing about it.

Waiters were horrible.

The terrace was 30-40 percent occupied but it took MORE THAN HALF AN HOUR to order anything.
A
I had to beg 3 or 4 waiters to take our order. When someone, finally, came she acted like I bothered her. Grumpy face, no friendly, or pollite attitude once or ever.

We ordered sea food and pasta.
After ordering, it took another 45 minutes to bring the food.
Not enough napkins, no spoon for the sauce, no bread.
And when we asked for some focaccia or toast they said, and I quote " plain bread is faster".

No light in the bathroom with cleanliness about 40%.

In conclusion: STAY AWAY! You can get more satisfaction from a 1$ dinner

Stayed here for 3 nights, excellent service and location the hotel restaurant offer supper quality food and service, nothing to complaint about. the beach is juts in front of the hotel 30sec walk, all hotel rooms got sea view. we had a suite in the 1st floor, the suite was nice big and clean. We try the hotel restaurant almost everyday for all meals, the hotel and restaurant staff was supper friendly. I highly recommend that hotel to anyone looking for a supper family or couples vacation in Mamaia. that was our 2nd stay and we will definitely return back next month for another short stay.
