The pension itself is nicely decorated and located relatively close to the center of Brașov (10 minutes walk).
The rooms are quite large and feature all that you'd need, even though I wish there were more power outlets.
Breakfast is very good, with a good variation, also featuring local products.

I found the location ideal as it is in a very quiet part of the town and at the same time a 25 minutes easy walk from the train station and a 20 minutes walk to the beautiful but touristy historic center.
The staff were simply fabulous. Very good English spoken and such a friendly and helpful attitude. Very informative. Open minded. As a solo traveler I enjoyed the lot of interaction as it helped me better understand Romania, Brasov and the region beyond as well as plan my daily activities.
The breakfast, buffet style, was very tasty and offered good variety of items.
The room was very large, nicely decorated and so quiet. Great shower. Very comfy bed. Rooms are on the first floor and there is no elevator but a very large wooden quiet wooden stair.
WiFi is provided in all areas.
Brasov is a very nice city. Not only the old historic center. I loved the style of the houses in the region. A saxon heritage I understood. Lovely.
Mother nature is absolutely fantastic. Hills and mountains (think 2'500 meters max). Still very green end of September.
I love my afternoon trip to the Bran castle (Vlad, Dracula) using a bus from Autogara 2 (ca 30 minutes easy walk from Casa Iacob). Cost 9 lei each direction (cash only).
Well I will definitely be back and I will look no further than Casa Iacob then.

This was our third trip to Casa Iacob, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It's about ten minutes' walk to the city centre, there's parking outside, a tasty breakfast included in the price too. It's a family run guesthouse, with good friendly service. It's not luxury, but it's not supposed to be: it's a guesthouse and charges prices very well suited to its standard. Nice rooms, clean bathrooms etc. We couldn't fault it!

Hi,
Casa Iacob is located about 15 min walk from the centre of the city, on a quiet street. A parking space is provided free. The rooms are big, clean, with one of the best shower cabins (large, good drainige). One minus, no AC, a fan is provided however.
Their restaurant is average, breakfast the same, with some homemade good surprise from now and then.
Very friendly.
I would recomend for a couple of days stay.

Basic and clean pension, good experience but at the end, management cheat the bill charging in Euro even if u pay in Lei currency, basically they charge us 35 € per night then convert them in Lei...
Total 350 lei ...70 lei more then how much is saying on the web site.. shame because till then was nice experience and love Brasov.
Breakfast cheap but be aware u get what u paid for... ;)

I will definitely come back, because i have found here all the comfort all tourists and travellers want. Such a cozy place, warm , with a great view from most of rooms. Very clean, free wi fi, a restaurant down below with great food, and at such good prices. I would have stayed longer, but one day made me sure i will come back with my next visit to Brasov. The people there-so friendly, and all you need is fast at your service. Oh they have a parking lot, which is such a great plus. The rooms are big, and i had the luck to have a great view over the moon :)). Loved it and recommend it !

This is the best place to stay while in Brasov. It's CHEAP, clean, the location is pretty good and the staff is super friendly. The rooms are large enough and so is the bathroom. You can park your car right in front if the place, so absolutely no issue if you're driving to Brasov. Honestly, I didn't expect this place to be THAT good :-)

The staff (many of the Iacob Family) were very friendly and helpful. The room was great, as was the food in the restaurant/bar. Watch out for the Plumb Brandy though! Great place to launch a Transylvania excursion. They arranged for round-trip transportation from Bucharest Int'l airport as well--you don't want to drive in greater-Bucharest, trust me!

Clean rooms, quiet area without too much noise, very friendly and communicative staff, recommend from all points of view! And a delicious breakfast, a real pleasure spending a few days off! keep up the good work guys ^^

Such a nice experience.
The room and the bathroom are big and clean. The view is amaizing, to wake up and see the Brașov sign.
The breakfast was verry good and plenty of what to chose from.
For sure we will come again.
