There is a bakery and a coffee shop just around the corner and a big supermarket 7-8 min away from the hotel.
The Reception is 24/7 but the staff is not very friendly.
The room was ok but there was a leakage from the sink which was not fixed although I reported it 3 times.
On the other hand, the room was cleaned on a daily basis.
There is no restaurant or even lobby at the hotel which is a bit uncomfortable.
The internet was good.
It is a central A/C system which is not a good option if you have to spend more time in the room.
The mattress was hard.
In general - compared to other options in Varna, good value for money but there are several details they still need to work on if they want to offer a really good customer experience.
This hotel is VERY clean and comfortable (one of the very few hotels in this world where I dare to walk barefoot on the carpet).
Only downsides are that the elevator is very small, and that breakfast is OK, but not spectacular. The price-value is excellent however, and I will stay here again without hesitation.
No reason given, they actually wanted us to send them cancelations whilst they called us to cancel.
This is not how you deal with guests that book half your hotel.
Not reliable, not customer friendly.
Do not book here as you are never sure you can actually stay there.
The location- in the center, walking distance to everything you need to see.
Cleanliness- excellent
The rooms are huge by European standards and the studio was enormous and had the most amazing view on the cathedral during the day and during the night.
Moreover, it is good value for money and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful as they arranged also transport for us.
Overall: highly reccommended
If you are driving, you will easily find the hotel but parking is sparse. They do offer some kind of parking, we were lucky enough to get on-street parking just outside the hotel. If you arrive by plane, you can catch a public bus directly from the airport to the hotel. It is very cheap. I recommend it over taking a Taxi, unless the hotel has arranged the taxi for you. I don't recommend getting one at the airport by yourself, since you are likely to get ripped off.
I had a 4th floor room looking to the north and east, away from the Cathedral. The view was just of the backs and tops of other old buildings; nothing special. Again, the room was spotless and well maintained. There was free Wi-Fi which I did try to use when I was in the room, but it was not very reliable -- it worked about half of the time I was there.
The breakfast was free and OK; a typical European breakfast buffet.
There is a 24 hour supermarket - Mandarin chain - just around the corner from the hotel - which is useful for picking up snacks and sundries.
Excellent location for city
nice reception
Beautiful rooms, very clean
porter and receptionist very helpful and pleasant
can rent a laptop £3.00 for a hour (take to your room)
But... tiny tiny lift
lots and lots of steps
Night staff slept
very poor breakfast (I ate fruit for 5 days) Fried breakfast dry and looked awful. Even after complaining
Room service meal very small and horrible(went out every night)
Breakfast room was also the bar(most of the beers and wine in a fridge)
Some waiting staff aggressive nature
Lots and lots of taxi outside the hotel (difficult to park only 3 spaces and taxis parked always blocking the spaces, but would move)
All was spot on, room was absolutely clean and spacious.
The room was cleaned Daily and linen was changed every day.
We were on a wedding trip and the cleaner Pieta and the other girl ( I don't know her name ) Made my room every day to a high standard.
It was very nice to see different shape made with the towels :) .
Just one side note, My room was 301 and the air con was straight onto our face while we were sleeping, this is not very good while you are sleeping but being +35 degrees outside I didn't mind a bit of cold :)
Also, I never saw a bed sheet, there was the mattress cover and a duvet but no bed sheet. Maybe it would be nice to add one?
Breakfast was just perfect, plenty of choice, different juices and all you needed.
Side note for the Breakfast waitress ( never asked for our room number, so anyone can just walk in )
Also, wifi never worked in the whole hotel for the whole of my stay. It would connect but not even able to open a google page ( Not a big Deal as I was out all the time with my own 4G
All in all , if we come back to Varna ( which we will ) I will be looking into staying again in this hotel.
Area is totally safe and there Is plenty of parking places around.
Varna beach is a pleasant walk of 15 minutes and shopping centers are a stone trow away from hotel.
Average restaurant price was 20 to 25 LV which for us is like €10 to €15 EXTREMELY cheap :) and good quality.
Most of the people speak English at their best they can.
Public transport ( never used ) but there is 4 bus stops just across the hotel.
When paying for food or goods is better if you pay with card as if you exchange money they will charge you commission ( which is not a big amount ) but by paying by card you will get the best rate.
Hope this review helps other travelers to choose wisely on their next holiday :)
Book this hotel and you wont regret anything :)
