Amiral Hotel is one of the best business hotels in our sea capital. It is located on a main road in one of the most quiet and peaceful districts in the city of Varna – Chaika, close to the Sea garden and the Dolphinarium. The hotel has 44 completely renovated rooms, four of which Single, 19 Standard Double, 12 Superior, 5 Deluxe, 3 Apartments and 1 Luxury Studio. The furniture and interior are influenced by the Scandinavian style, as the feeling of coziness and tranquility are in the foundation of the concept. The Hotel is open throughout the whole year and is the perfect solution for relaxation, entertainment and business meetings. The first class breakfast is served on a buffet in the restaurant and provides to the guests a daily choice of fresh products and authentic Italian espresso. The Hotel also has a Conference center with a completely new look, which consists of 4 Halls and a coffee break zone with a terrace. For the additional convenience of its visitors, the Hotel also offers free parking. Hotel Amiral opened first in 2003. Initially as a part of the then famous local brand City Planet hotels, while in 2007 it became part of the biggest Hotel chain – “Best Western” and was long known as “Best Western Park Hotel”. The Hotel starts its new life in September of 2019, when after a 10 month complete overhaul it opened with a new look, name and identity. The Amiral name is derived from the French pronunciation of the word “admiral”. Just like the admirals from the fleet, the magnificent building with the shape of a ship bears its name with pride and keeps the spirit of the sea.

    A very nice find
I've stayed here two nights at the beginning of the month with my parents and brother as a treat for their 35th wedding anniversary. My parents have visited Varna about 30 odd years ago and my dad was very keen to revisit, so my borther and I decided to treat them to a couple of days to reminisce the olden days...From entering the hotel we were greated by the nice cool air, and after a hot drive it was a bliss. When selling a service the smallest of things are the ones that usually stick in your mind and for me it was the greeting: "Hello, we were expecting you!", and let me tell you it is the best greeting you can ask for. The check-in was very quick and efficient and in no time we were in our rooms where the nice suprise continued with a fresh fruit basket and a bottle of wine in each room (this is not standard though) and after the long drive, a good shower is what every traveller will require and the expectation was met and surpassed. To find the hotel do follow their directions, they are correct - as soon as you spot the hotel coming from the city cross to the other side and from there there are signs directing you to it. The entrance is not the most impressive and could do with a spruce-up as does the park around the hotel, especially on the right hand side. Apart from these things the hotel has a good location, not far from the city centre and please bear in mind this is not a hotel for the beach goers, but if you don't mind walking a fair distance for a very good service then stay here. I haven't made use of the spa facilities, but I have no doubt they are clean as the rest of the place. For dinner you have a few options, one just next to the hotel, which they recommend, and if you are more adventurous there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the city for all budgets. The hotel offers cooked breakfast to a certain extent in the sense that there are fried, boiled eggs and omlette, which you shouldn't give it a miss and a good variety of meats, cheeses, pastries and pleanty of teasty fresh fruits on the buffet to help yourself as often as your heart desires. All in all it was a very good find, parents happy, nice memories and definitely will recommend this hotel either if you are here on business, with friends, family or as a couple. The service is excellent, the staff smiling and discreet, the rooms and public areas clean. If I find myself in this part of the world again I won't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed on business and was a perfect choice
The hotel is on the outskirts of the town itself a short walk to the sea front and promenade that there is where you can walk all the way into the town. A taxi journey is approx 5 mins into the centre it is very close. The hotel itself serves the puropse well. Not the most modern of places but dont let this put you off. Rooms are clean with all you need, the breakfast has a good selection of things and their is also a bar which serves snacks as well. The hotel is not in the luxury class but serves the purpose well. On my return to the town I would stay there again no problem. Between 15 and 20 minutes away from the airport at Varna by taxi.

Our business meetings were performed here because of the nice location (near to the sea garden in residential area Chaika), comfortable meeting rooms and last but not least the excellent services and the reasonable prices. Since I'm from Varna, the hotel rooms I can't review, but nobody from my colleagues complaints :) Generally, everything is perfect!

This hotel used to be a normal business hotel. But now unfortunately we encountered several major issues! 1st - we were not able to adjust the air conditioner and in the end of April we were supposed to face hot stream instead of cold. While the receptionist can't be solved this week. Also the breakfast we had this Monday was baked last friday - what a gross! I hope you do some improvements in order to keep some customers in the future. Until this happens I'm not visiting the hotel again!

We arrived at 2am and had a very efficient check in which was very welcome! The hotel delivered exactly what we needed with a good night's sleep and solid breakfast with the fresh fruit being a great feature. The hotel is a challenge to drive to when dark as it is down narrow streets with small signs and it is out of town which is both a good and bad thing in equal measure. Would stay again though if in the area.

Dear matxav, Thank you for taking the time to share your overall experience with the TripAdvisor readers! We are glad that you have enjoyed your stay! Best Western Park is really business hotel, located a little bit far away from the city center. We advise taking the taxi to the center as it is the fastest way to reach it. I personally recommend going through the marine garden for both directions - for city center and beach. It won't be that fast, but our Marine Garden is worth to be seen. Looking forward to welcome you again! Best Regards, Zlatka Vasileva

Says in hotel website "500m to beach". It is if you want to jump from the top of the cliff!!!! If you want to walk, it's approx 1km. Only 100% wrong!!! Perhaps there is no 'Trades Description Act' in Bulgaria or even the USA - Best Western is an American company I think. EVENTUALLY informed that ONE YEAR AGO, there was a 'rock fall' and path to beach was destroyed. So, OK, these things happen but should the website not be updated and not advertise false infomation - epecially AFTER ONE YEAR!!! On arrival - unattended and therefore little or no security, rear entrance used as front entrance is via a maze of back streets and parking VERY limited so beware of you have a car) there is NO LIFT(elevator) to Reception so we had to carry our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs and then walk the length of the hotel to the reception. WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?? What wheelchair access. E.U.Regulations?? Yeah, right!! Did the hotel website say about suitabilty for wheelchair guests?? I didn't look as, for me it's not relevant. Reception staff polite with reasonable English spoken - varied greatly with staff. On arrival at my room, there was no soap and the a/c didn't work!!!! To be fair, they were soon rectified but why were the faults there in the first place?? QA? What QA?? The hotel rear is 5m, YES 5 METRES from one of the main artery roads to and from Varna. Rooms at rear of hotel are VERY NOISY from the traffic even at night. Buffet style breakfasts are ok with a wide range of foods available. Fitness suite?? Small room that will accomodate maybe approx. 6 people. There is a lift to the basement, where the fitness suite and restaurant are but there is NO ACCESS through to the restaurant!!! This means that DISABLED PEOPLE (in wheelchairs) have to use TWO FLIGHTS of stairs to enter the restaurant (or I guess, order room service). GREAT DESIGN Mr. Architect!! Overall impression? VERY AVERAGE out of town hotel (centre is 30-40 mins. walk with little or no shade from the sun). There is a huge park across the road but you have to use the pedestrian underpass so the park is 300 m away. Oh, great restaurant next door!!! Well worth a visit.

The hotel is located near the end side of the Sea Garden, which makes it excellent for a nice walk all through the Garden towards the center, which is approximately 20 minutes by walk. There is an entrance from the main street and you can tell the cab driver to leave you either at the from or back entrance. Note that the entrance at the main street closes after 12pm. The room was spacious and very clean. We had daily compliments of 1.5ltr bottle of water, coffee and tea. There is a electronic water heater in the room, hair drier, bathroom accessories. The view from the rooms with sea view is spectacular. Our sheets and the room were made daily while we were out. Breakfast is from 7am to 10am and is average. The staff were all absolutely brilliant and very helpful. We also requested a framed picture of Alfonso Ribeiro (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air)on the nightstand and they completed the request which we found amazing, as none other hotel has done that so far in Bulgaria. Compared to other hotels we paid a very reasonable price and I would definitely recommend it as the money are worth the experience.
