Getting there
Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Firstly, I have been charged twice for my stay and I have just disputed the transaction with my bank - so not happy about it.
Now the Hotel is very centrally located, with ample of paid parking outside, you couldn’t get the location wrong. You will reach main bustling Plovdiv old town high street within a 2 minute walk.
However the hotel is absolutely dated, the entry has steps, so with a stroller or less able person it maybe a little delay as they have to use the side open lift.
The rooms are very old, I mean they really overdue renovation since many years it seems.
The pool is amazing, with a bar just below it.
The breakfast is limited and perhaps just enough.
The casino was lively and busy.
But it’s just when you get to rooms and the overall look and feel of the passage was low.
The staff very generous and helpful!

Low expectations (6.8 out of 10 on bookingcom) were not exceeded. It was all a bit run down. The top of the cistern came off when flushing the loo. Bedroom carpet was sticky like the saloon bar in a tacky English pub. The a/c was ineffective. On the positive side, the swimming pool was big and clean enough and the breakfast was fine. On-site parking is convenient and cheap enough at 10 leva - €5 - a day.

A large hotel that could do with upgrading. The general impression is that overall it is quite shabby. For example the curtains in my room were about 20cms short of reaching the floor and so allowed early morning light into the room, cigarette burns around the hand basin, shower mixer control not very efficient, overall lighting in the room not powerful enough. The breakfast was not up to 4 star standard and the choice of bread was very poor. The reception staff were friendly and the hotel was warm. Conveniently central. Close to the main shopping area and the Old Town. If you stay here you won't suffer. Not really 4 star standard. More a place for company conventions. Certainly not for a romantic holiday.

I had a very bad experience dinning at the restaurant of the hotel during my stay with my friends. The gluten-free free option provided by the restaurant was just a omelette! And the worts of this was that I paid the same for this plate than my friends and they received a full plate with and steak, vegetables and salad.

The rooms and the interior are worn out. All served food was very bland, even tasteless, made with preprocessed products . And the staff was very rude.
Definitely a place to avoid, despite the good location.

Got a free upgrade from Beysim and Aysen and had a pleasant stay. The Victoria restaurant in the building is a great place to eat as well. Breakfast has a wide choice of food and drinks but some of the food is cold which is a pity. It’s a beautiful hotel but renovation is needed

We stayd 1 night in the hotel as part of our overland road trip through Europe. With 2 kids, we had a big room with 2 doulbe beds.
Service was good with check in. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was sufficient and all COVID rules were respected concerning the breakfast set up. The breakfast salloon was a little chilly but pretty impressive.
The only negative remark was about the bathroom. Although big (shower and Jaccuzi) both were leaking which ended up in a flooded bathroom. We mentioned this to the reception at check out and it would be looked after immediatly.
Place worth to stay, also if you wanna have a try at the casino.

The hotel is in a decent location. It's about a half mile walk to the main area of the pedestrian walk. The rooms are a bit run down, tired and not kept up. The beds are not very comfortable, very hard. The bathroom has an old-fashioned tub, so you have to be careful getting in and out. The buffet breakfast was very average. The pool was nice.

Hard as a rock. Mildew in shower. Shower head is caked with mineral deposits and sprays everywhere. Really, the only good thing is the location. I’m booked here through a tour, otherwise I’d check out early and stay somewhere else.

Rude staff and a room that was not fit for a dog! Mould on ceiling & walls, broken furniture with sharp edges and rusty bathroom fittings. This is not a 4 starr! I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. The hotel is in desperate need of modern renovations. Also booking.com are completely homeless resolving issues when you book via them.

Not sure about the sauna or jacusi, but as far as I am aware, yes, there is an added charge for using the indoor pool. Not sure how much though as e did mot use it.

We send the post cards every day (from Monday to Friday) and we can`t follow what happened, because we send them in the post box of the post office. I apologize for accident, but we didn`t get more information from the post office. The receptionists always check the post cards for stamp and the address. If they are clearly stated there is no reason to be not delivered. General Manager
