Visiting us you will find yourself in the unique atmosphere of the Bulgarian national revival. The building was built in the middle of 19th century, now is completely renovated and offers the amenities of our time. Preserving its authentic appearance takes you back centuries to feel the charm and romance of times gone by. The combination of location – in the Ancient Plovdiv reserve, close the main shopping street and many sights – and the cosiness of the original hotel interior, makes it a preferred place for rest and business for people from all over the world.

Detailed Reviews
Lovely hotel with large rooms, great breakfast, knowledgeable host and great location - all in all a top spot. We stayed here amidst the pandemic and enjoyed it thoroughly; room was very clean (spotless even) and breakfast was provided per person (taken request into considerations).
Walking distance to all there is to see in Plovdiv, yet with the benefit of being easy to get to by car plus convenient parking right in front of the hotel.
Even got a free upgrade to a bigger room due to this room being available at that time.
Highly recommended!

Plovdiv is the ideal place to stay for getting around wineries and historical sites in Central Bulgaria.
This is a very charming hotel, ideally located at the foot of Plovdiv's historical hill and 10 minutes walk from Kapana trendy and lively district. We spent three nights in our very spacious "red" room which was splendidly decorated and tastefully furnished by the owner Mitko and his wife. The room even had a typical bulgarian style balcony overlooking on the outside.
He also took care about the tasty breakfasts which were planned and cooked on demand, alterning sweet or ham pancakes, fresh banitsa and omelette.
Coming back to Plovdiv we would definitely book Mitko's hotel for the rooms comfort, for the location and also for the friendly welcome of the host who takes care of everything.

If you want to experience Plovdiv and the Bulgarian revival spirit in a 19th-century handpainted house, look no further than the Family Hotel at Renaissance Square.
Our group had a mixed program (sightseeing and business), and Family Hotel at Renaissance Square had the perfect location in the heart of the old town of Plovdiv, close to the main attractions and easily reached from the main roads.
The owner, Mitko, made our visit so memorable. He shared great tips, taking us off the beaten path to places we would never experience otherwise. You will easily make lifelong friendships with everyone there over the warm homemade breakfast made and served with so much attention to detail every morning.
We're forever grateful for your kind welcome and our great stay. We can't wait to visit you and Family Hotel at Renaissance Square again.

We really have nothing but praise for Family Hotel at Renaissance Square.
Our room was clean, generously proportioned and already being air conditioned when we arrived. The location is quiet and perfect for the Old Town and sites beyond and parking is possible by arrangement with the owner though, I suspect, can be in short supply at busy times. There were two versions of breakfast on offer but we enjoyed the one with pancakes so much that we declined the omelette version.
Upon our arrival, the owner gave us a detailed walkthrough of the sites on a map which we really appreciated because despite being armed with a full itinerary, he highlighted some places that we might have skipped. Throughout, he was helpful and hospitable and added tremendously to our stay!

Dimitar manages this boutique hotel in a historic building on the slope of the old town with grace and precision. He made sure a parking spot was available right in front, provided concise and accurate information on the city’s highlights, and attended to our every need. He also helped plan our route so that we drove on scenic roads to our next destinations. Bravo on giving us an excellent two-night stay.

If you are looking for a small, quiet, friendly hotel that is near all attractions, this is the place to stay. The proprietor is very friendly, helpful, and always available! The rooms are comfortable with excellent showers and hot water. The breakfast is typically Bulgarian with different offerings each day. So much better than a larger, sterile hotel!

This small but beautiful family hotel is strategically located on the border of the historic city centre - so you can reach it by car, reserve a parking spot in front of the hotel and forget the car. Exceptional hospitality and excellent breakfast. Undoubtely, one of the best places to stay in Plovdiv.

This is very relaxing hotel and the owner is really helpful. The rooms are quite and wonderfully decorated. It is situated on the edge of the old town, so it is in easy walking distance of all the major sites. I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Plovdiv.

Really lovely place - the personal touch of a hotel run by the proud owner. It's a few minutes walk from the Old Town, but also has easy access to all the nightlife fun of modern Plovdiv. The friendly host was always around to chat, give advice and make you a cup of coffee to drink on the hotel's terrace cafe - with locals also there, giving the stay an authentic feel. Staying here was the highlight of my trip to Plovdiv.

Many thanks to Dimitry, the hotel’s owner, for making our visit unforgettable. We were cordially met, got all needed assistance and an excellent country breakfast. The hotel is really unique for a hand painted ceiling and antique furniture. It is well situated in the old center and has a free parking and wi fi.

No elevator but only one smallish flight of stairs and I guarantee you the owner would not let you carry your bags even if you wanted to. He is great like that!
