We spent 2 nights in this charming Ottoman style house/museum and enjoyed every minute. Our rooms were clean and conformable and exotic (to us). Dark wood built-ins and detailed finishes, window seats with lots of pillows, bed hangings and unique architecture. Plus there was air conditioning (necessary during the heat wave while we were there). The buffet breakfast was good and the patios offered a nice place to relax with a book. The highlight was our personal tour of the house with commentary, not only of the home's history, but of the recent war and politics of Bosnia. It was fascinating and informative and we learned so much about the unique challenges Bosnia faces. Mostar is touristy, but SO worth the time to visit and learn and enjoy - we loved it. And staying at the Muslibegovic House only enhanced the experience.

As an American, I have a few Can’t Live Without ‘Em requirements of hotels in Europe. For a night after 17 hours of airplanes and autos, this place (built at end of Ottoman era in 1800s) OFFERED: -good location - very comfy beds - lots of hot water - hot morning coffee - reasonable price - quiet neighborhood DONT EXPECT: - room with a view of bridge - lavish breakfast buffet- oversized bathroom Still, charming architecture, unobtrusive staff, and a 10-minute tour of adjacent original-design traditional Muslim family quarters. Blend of creaky floors and flat-screen TV, get the picture?

We went here as a special treat. But it wasn't what we expected. The room was small, the staff wasn't very personal we thought and the breakfast not that special. Further no real extras except a free drink on entry. For €70 a night it was definitely not worth it. We were disappointed. The best thing was the bed, which we really enjoyed.

Staying here really made our trip to Mostar memorable. It was beautiful and it felt like we were stepping back into time, except with all modern amenities readily available. It was a great way to try to really feel what Mostar was like during the Ottoman era. The staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious. I had a bunch of questions prior to arriving and corresponded with the staff via email. They were really helpful. The parking was convenient and safe. Wifi wasn't great in the room, but it was downstairs. Although this was among the most expensive places to stay in Mostar, it is still extremely affordable. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We loved our stay here. The house is beautiful inside and out. And what a cool experience to stay inside an active museum!! The staff is also incredible and helped us book various tours and activities, even laundry pickup. The breakfast was a nice touch so we didn’t have to find a place to eat in the mornings. Definitely recommend. Note that it’s a old house and not particularly sound proof. Totally fine for a 4 night stay :)
