Majdas Hostel felt like a home away from home. We stayed in Mostar for 4 days and were so comfortable we never wanted to leave. The staff are all local which adds so much when visiting a city with such a rich history. Mickey's welcome was so warm and all the staff went out of their way to ensure we... More

My trip to Mostar was purely accidental as I missed a bus to Albania. Best accident ever. Read the other reviews, they rave. It's all true. I've never met hostel owners that are so eager to meet you, get to know you, and invite you into their lives. Everyone is gathered together for breakfast and they make each one individually,... Read the bad reviews, and then take them with a huge grain of salt. This is such a friendly, welcoming, relaxing, comfortable, and educational hostel. They want to share with you their history, and their "home". We were welcomed with an iced tea, cake, and info on the city. The common areas are well set up with loads of chairs... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for four nights and loved this place. The hostel itself is great - air conditioner rooms, the best showers (huge shower heads, pressure etc), good kitchen facilities and a really nice large outdoor garden common area for socialising with other travellers. The facilities were top notch, but what really made this place was the... More

The family who runs this hostel really care about "backpackers." They attribute their success to backpackers and in return they are attuned to details that their guests care about - hot breakfast, large/comfortable common areas, clean, clean, clean, bathroom and shower rooms (not just curtains), safes for valuables (there are no lockers for large bags), two sockets per bed (even... The atmosphere is super-friendly and a special effort is made for people to socialise. The "induction course" to Mostar is very informative. Unfortunately the day we were there the wel-known day-tour of Mostar and sorrounding with Bate wasn't running, but they were very quick in arranging a replacement. Majda is unbeatable in terms of hospitality, and I got moved when... More

I was recommended to stay here by numerous friends and I am so glad I did! Do yourself a favour and stay here when you are in Mostar. Majda and Bata pour their heart and soul into this hostel and it definitely shows. One more thing - make sure you do the day trip tour :) Thank you Majdas Room... More

The benchmark Majdas Hostel sets in your mind is never breached, such is the time you end up having here. Yes, I ended up extending my stay. I met awesome people here, made great friends. I've travelled extensively in Europe, never experienced such hospitality. Great staff. I had a great time talking to Majda and Bata (had so much fun... More

Majda and Bata's hospitality and the staff's willingness to share bosnian culture and history made my days in Mostar unforgettable. Interesting people, interesting conversations sharing cultures from all over the world. Clean and cosy, warm atmosphere, super breakfast!
