#2 of 50 Specialty lodging in Pristina
Our hostel is located at the very heart of Prishtina, right on the main boulevard of Mother Theresa. All the main sights are within a 5 minute walking distance like: Skanderbeg Square, the National Museum, the National Theater, the National Library, the City Art Gallery, etc. The hostel is comfortably designed with 30 beds in shared and private rooms. All the rooms are with city center view with balcony and a common “chill” room. We also have one kitchen with a area for dining. Our friendly and multilingual staff will be glad to answer all of your questions and help you with everything. You have a free locker, and the front desk can hold your valuables overnight in the safe, but in general the dorm atmosphere is trusting and relaxed. We also provide free towels and fresh linens if asked.

I visited this hostel shortly after covid restrictions started to lift so it was pretty much empty and not running as "normal". That said, I found the sole remaining staffer to be very kind, responsive, and helpful. The hostel was in an awesome location, right off the main drag. The rooms and shared spaces were comfortable, and the wifi was fast. The only downsides were that the hostel could probably use a good cleaning and a new kitchen (the fridge in particular didn't really work).

I really enjoyed my stay there. Staff and other guests were friendly. Kitchen was basic but good enough to make the usual hostel foods - soup, pasta etc. There is a communal lounge area with a tv and comfy couches. Location is great, with heaps of restaurants and take away joints close by. €1 beers available from reception, though there is a minimart across the road if you want to save a few cents. Bunks in my dorm had privacy curtains and each had its own power socket. But, having stayed in lots of hostels over the years, the guest: bathroom ratio is not great here. I was there in winter so never had to wait to use bathroom or shower, but if hostel was even half full, I can see it becoming very crowded and getting grubby. (To be fair, I think some of the other hostels in Skopje have similar guest: bathroom ratios, which might always be bad in converted apartments vs purpose built hostels). Up 4 flights of stairs without a lift. I'd stay there again in winter. In peak season, I might not.

I took an overnight bus from Kotor and arrived at 4am. There was some kind of miscommunication and the folks working the night shift didn't know I was coming at such an undesirable hour, but still kindly checked me in. The hostel's directional signage was good and the hostel was easy to find, even in the dark. The mattress was a bit hard, but I realize that is a matter of personal preference. The hostel itself is in a great location, right off the main pedestrian street. The staff was all very helpful. I'd definitely stay again!

Hostel Han checks off all of the necessary boxes for being a great hostel. It is located in a very central area, it's impressively clean, the staff members are super helpful, and the atmosphere is very fun and lively. Additionally, there are loads of good restaurants and bakeries within walking distance of the hostel, making it a very good place to stay for foodies.
