The hostel has a very friendly atmosphere and makes you feel at home instantly. Rooms and facilities were clean and well equipped, and the staff was super helpful and nice. I loved staying there and felt like it gave me a great opportunity to connect with the city and it's people.
It's only a short walk into the center of the city but far enough to enjoy some calm moments on the balcony and not be disturbed by traffic noise.

If you want to feel at home in Uzice, this is the place to stay!

I stayed in Uzice, Serbia on a two month backpacking trip. We only stayed a few nights but it was enough to know that we're certainly coming back! Eco Hostel Republik isn't just a hostel, but a home. Call it cheesy, but it was one of my favourite places on the two month journey simply because I could take a warm shower, cook my own fresh food AND because the staff and volunteers were absolutely wonderful. Marko the owner will ensure that you have a fun packed day every single day you're there.

Eco Hostel Republik and this part of Europe is so underrated! You are literally at the gateway to some of the best hiking areas and nature parks in the entire Balkans with Tara Mountain, Drena river, Zlatibor Mountain, Uvac park all within a short half hour or so away!
The hostel runs day tours (and sometimes longer) to all of these places, and with this area being so untouched still by mainstream tourism, you get to enjoy these outdoor treasures in very small groups, so its exremely intimate!
The hostel is the cleanest I've ever stayed in and small enough with such character it really feels like home and so comfortable instantly. The atmosphere is very social and the company is always great. All in all expect a very cheap stay including what you spend on tours and activities for a ridiculously full and amazing experience!
If you like a bit of hiking, wonderful hospitality and local stories/customs and unreal food... visit here!!!

This is the best hostel i have ever been. Very clean and comfortable, nice and our hosts were very friendly. Marko and Irena are very good hosts, they organized everything i wanted to do, to visit, to eat. You have to eat burek in Blue Moon, and Marko or Irena will order it for you. Everything was great

My three friends and I visited the second weekend in June. Everyone who worked at the hostel was kind and helpful. Marko provided a fun and interesting tour around Užice. Irena was so helpful and fun to hang out with. The rooms are exactly as described and, along with the rest of the hostel, are clean and comfortable. The terrace at the hostel is especially nice to hang out in. We had such a good time that we are trying to figure out if we can return before we leave Serbia. Very eco-friendly and contemporary. Can't wait to return!!

I stayed at Eco Hostel in 2018 before hicking to Tara National park. Though the city of Uzice is not that big is was a very pleasant stay with very helpful and kind staff. Thanks again.

Good for larger groups of people (about 30). It has several sleeping rooms, one large living room with a basic kitchen, sufficient social equipment for this amount of people (given you won't wake up all at the same moment), two large and comfortable teraces for all of you, and also, it has quite a cool design - partizan paintings on the walls, military hats and helmets for you to wear on your head when the party accelerates, etc.

I can only recommend.
