Decided to go on a solo roadtrip around Serbia. My first time in Novi Sad was indeed a plesant one.
A nice, cosy hostel located right in the centre of the city. There are bakeries, excange office, restourants and bars literally across the street, so it really wasn't a problem to stock up :)
The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I even met the hostel owner who was kind enough to show me where can I park for free. The only downside was no free parking near the hostel (I came with my car).
But that was a huge bonus in my eyes.
During my stay there were only 2 other guests in the whole hostel, so I couldn't really make a vibe out of it, but I had a quiet, clean and peacful experiance staying there for 2 days. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Novi Sad. Will see you again :)

This was my 3rd visit to hostel. After a year a lot of things improve even though hostel had good service already. Bathroom was upgraded as was the restaurant from the same owner downstairs. Staff were exceptional as always and rooms were very warm and clean. This hostel will stay as my favorite place to stay when I am in Novi Sad.

I stayed at City Hostel for two days in October and went back to Novi Sad for a week in April. I decided to book this hostel again because of the wonderful hospitality I experienced in October. Again the (young) staff was friendly and helpful, not only with advising good restaurants but also with arranging a bike and taxi's if needed. They made me feel very welcome and were truly interested in my stay and everything I was up to. They also made sure that, if possible, I only had to share the room with other girls.
The rooms cleaned after every stay and bathroom is properly cleaned every day. On every floor there is a little kitchen with fridge, free wifi and lookers. If the hostel is almost completely occupied (mostly in the weekends), the staff also stays during the whole night.
The hostel is located close to the city center, sport center and boulevard. Within 1 min walk you can reach some little shops, like a bakery, bars and small supermarkets.
I would recommend this hostel without any doubts to everyone who is searching for a good hostel in Novi Sad.

This is a good place to stay, is a run of the mill Hostel. Good breakfast. no Laundry facilities but there is one across the road fairly. Cheap. The hostel is central to everything. Good Transportation links and easy to get around.

Staff were very helpful with maps and information.

I have stayed 3 nights in hostel. It is located 5min walk away from the town centre. Area is well covered with taxis. In rather small room there is 10 beds, which makes it difficult to move arround in the room. Floor in the bathroom was constantly wet (with each showering the water leaked). The heater didn't work well in our room. In other rooms it worked weel. Stuff was ok. With some additional effort hostel could be really nice. I used better ones, but worse also :) I would go again, if something better would not be available.

Stayed 3 nights at the City Hostel in Novi Sad in October. The beds are very comfortable although the room can get very warm and there is no air-conditioning. The hostel itself is great
and has everything you could expect from a modern hostel, the whole place is painted in one theme and there's a nice area outside where you can sit. And the atmosphere could not be friendlier. The staff was very helpful with anything and everything we wondered about.

There are not a lot of bathrooms though. I had a bed in a 5-bed room on the 3rd floor and there was one bathroom with toilet and shower shared by this room and a single room, which meant that 6 peopl sharing a single bathroom. This lead to a lot of waiting or going down to the ground floor to use the bathroom.

Overall one of the better hostels I have stayed at.

After some incredibly bad orienteering my friend and I found ourselves quite lost, and without a map in Novi Sad. Luckily, we phoned up City Hostel, and they helped us find our way to the hostel! The beds were comfortable, clean, and after experiencing many other hostel bathrooms, I would have to say this shower was incredible! Friendly atmosphere amongst all the guests, and I can imagine during the festival it must be crazy! The staff were incredibly helpful, phoning up the train station for us to find out times, telling us where we could go, and Olga taught me how to make Turkish Coffee! All in all a great hostel in a lovely city! Will stay here again when I revisit Serbia!
