The hotel is very well situated. It´s old, with old furniture. It seemed that i was stuck in time, and i was in 1989, ind the old Soviet Union. But i particularly liked that aspect. Like other reviewer said, this hotel gives you a sense of nostalgia. Stayed in July 2012.

I had a stay of 6 days on Grand Hotel, very nice looking. And very close to the center of the city, very easy to walk around and find places to eat. Room service was exellent, just remember to ask for bottled beer if ordering 6 beers for the night - I got 6 draught beer :D - had a... More

Grand hotel is closed for reconstruction. Opening of completely rebuilt hotel is planned at the end of 2016. The hotel will provide new services: additional 70 rooms, a fitness center with a swimming pool and SPA, various saunas, a restaurant with a large lounge-zone, conference hall....More detailed information about hotel will be given later.

I stayed here in 2006 and it was a breath of fresh air after trekking through the surrounding areas looking for dead ancestors. We had a "reservation" at a private home for the night and just couldn't do the rustic Ukrainian thing another night. We were looking for something with modern amenities like room service and a good BLT after... More

I stayed in this hotel in 2007. Yes, the hotel HAS seen better days but for lovers of nostalgia, it is the only place to stay in town. The large rooms, spacious interiors, the grandeur and the sad, fallen feeling are incomparable and there was nothing basically wrong either.

This hotel clearly has seen better, more "grand" day. Front desk and breakfast room staff were very helpful, but maid service inconsistent and late, and the front door/doorman were hard to find and not attending to his duties. Breakfast was average. Location is excellent, right in the center of town, but beware of massive rebuilding of streetcar lines all over... More

The magnificent art nouveau hotel is situated at the main street of beautiful historical center of centuries-old city of Lviv which changed hands from Poland to Austro-Hungary to Russia to Ukraine. Huge rooms with four-meter-high ceilings, spacious bath tubs, balconies overlooking lively Freedom Avenue... We were welcomed by a valet who helped us to park the car and brought our... More

Grand Hotel is in an extremely convenient spot in the centre of Lviv/Lvov, well sign-posted, so you can easily find your way back after exploring the interesting, historic city. The staff, who speak excellent English, are unfailingly helpful. Rooms are comfortable, well furnished & reasonably priced, & the breakfasts are excellent, with a great variety of food & drink. I loved staying here. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very good with great choices. The rooms very comfortable and clean. I would stay here again - it is so central and everything is within walking distance.
