this hotel has a very good location - it's near the train station and not that far from the opera and the old town. there are some shops around and many places to go to by feet. the prices are ok; the breakfasts are really good; and the hotel rooms big and clean. if i ever go to lviv again that's were i'm staying.
Excellent hotel with good price with Perfect location between train station and city center. Tasty breakfasts, nice clean rooms and very friendly Staff. Rooms are warm and nice in the winter time. Bathrooms are very clean. I revommend
I felt like absolute royalty here. I walked in from the street without a reservation after 8pm and was welcomed with a smile and a friendly price. Everything was imaculate and tastefully done. Room had lots of lights and power points, a large comfortable bed (had a great sleep!!). Reception was so nice I almost asked her to come up and tuck me in :) Room was roomy and quiet, full of nice touches like slippers, shoeshine, plenty of towels and soaps etc, bottled water, a safe... And then there was breakfast. Seriously scrumptious with fresh kefir, pickled tomatoes, cereals, espresso coffee, spinach, fresh fruit, cheeses and meats... Yum. Free wifi worked very well everywhere I went in the hotel.
We stayed here for one week. The room was large, the shower had good water pressure and the temperatures were cool so leaving the window open made the room comfortable for sleeping. Even though the hotel is set back from the street, there is definitely street noise. The breakfast was very good. Always changed the hot dishes. They served bread, eggs, a cheese/meat tray, desserts, yogurt etc. Iryna did a fantastic job. No matter when you arrived for breakfast, she always had things organized and you felt as if all the dishes were fresh and you were the first one eating. She ran a buffet better than any one we have encountered in twenty years of travel. We also thought Christina did a terrific job at the front desk. We had a noise problem late one evening and she fixed the problem with one telephone call. If you are staying at this hotel on Saturday or Sunday evening, wedding receptions are held in the breakfast room and the music is loud, carries up the stairwell and plays into the early morning hours.…

During our trip to Ukraine this fall we used Lviv as a gateway city. We spent the first few days at the Horowitz near Rynok Square, but needed a hotel nearer the train station as we moved about the country. We found the Edem and couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the train station - and Rynok Square is doable as well - we walked there and back without any problem. As for the Edem, you might be wondering what you let yourself in for when you first walk in off of Horodotska Street. The hotel is set back off the main street in a courtyard and you pass a seedy looking tenement and several scrap cars on the way to the lobby. But all is well once you step into the lobby. A gorgeous older building of marble and stone set back in time that will still be standing long after the Super 8's and La Quinta's of N. America have crumbled. We booked a junior suite for something like $60. A beautiful spacious room and a sumptuous breakfast is included in the price. Olga, the girl at reception that greeted us, was a delight. A note if you're walking there from the train station. The station is set at the end of a rather long cul-de-sac off Horodotska Street. When you exit, you'll see a lot of restaurants and other buildings to the right where most people are walking. But if you veer to the left and walk along the sidewalk that follows the tram tracks, you'll find that it is a lot smoother and easier walking - especially if you have wheeled luggage. Also, you will have one less intersection to cross. It's hard to describe but makes perfect sense once you see it. You have to cross over Horodotska St. to the other side, but be patient, stay to the left and cross over at the next set of lights near the bus stop instead of at the roundabout. The Edem will definitely be our choice of stay next time we are fortunate enough to be able to visit the amazing city of Lviv.…
Simple hotel very close to the old town, so the city centre. The staff are always smiling and helpful, especially the doorman, don’t remember the name, was funny chatting with him. Rooms are clean, bathrooms offered all you need except toothbrush.
This hotel is a good one, all of the staff is very supportive. Breakfast is delicious and servers are always ready to help you to get one more cup of the first class coffee. Our room was clean and the hotel is quiet and tranquil. You can not get a better place to stay for the money. The beautiful downtown is walking distance. However, never agree to "transfer"(pick up service from airport) that they may offer to you. Total rip off, you will pay through the nose, 200-300 hryvnas (local currency) when Uber driver will gladly do that way more professional and just for the fraction of that (less than 50). Also you may want to haggle with taxi drivers at the airport or railway station. But Uber is way better and cheaper.
Well located half way between the station and the Centre, and just within walking distance of both. On a main road and easy to find, but located in a courtyard so shielded from the traffic noise. Nicely designed and decorated and well-maintained throughout. Comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good, free wifi. Good value for money, with no hidden glitches or complications. Service in the restaurant could be better and note it does not serve alcohol (but the hotel allows guests to bring wine etc in). Breakfast so-so, with cold coffee!
