For a 3 star hotel, I did not expect a full comfort hotel. I suppose, not sure, it should be a renovation of a 30-40 years old modern office building to a hotel. As an architect, I can say that, I did not see a hotel like this one. The decoration of the rooms are very kitsch. I wish the contractor/investor should effort his budget to the comfort of the hotel, instead of the useless gypsum arches. The beds cables(?) was playing guitar and we could not sleep. The bathroom sanitary, electrical equipment, the doors, furnitures look very cheap and seem to be transported from an older social-housing construction. There is no hair-drying, no cattle. You can hear the next door voices inside. In some rooms, there are irregular cross-aligned columns that should be for the reinforcement of the frame. On the other hand, receptionists are helpful. They changed our rooms after the claim. They call taxi for city-center with normal price. Because taxi drivers ask twice for tourists in the center. The location of the hotel is not very far from the center, far for wailking, but there is no rail or bus-stop around.…
We stayed at Volter Hotel for 2 nights which was not our choice but the first step of a tour we joined... Our room was Standard deLuxe type with very interesting, shiny wall decoration consisting of traditional flower designs. The looking of the corridors were intriguing maybe because of the material and dark colors they used for the doors and walls... It reminded me the first James Bond films... The house keeping personnel was really attentive and nice. Coming to minuses... The hotel management positioned Volter Hotel as a business hotel but also many of the tour operators uses the same for tourist groups which is not so preferable for tourists. Because it is really far from the center. The second minus was its breakfast. The breakfast room is incredibly small and also the food they serve is not good. Setting aside the food the most importing thing in the morning; Coffee and Tea were also terrible. I hope the management team can solve these problems...…
i have never seen like this hotels breakfast. This is really so bad.the location of hotel is not close to city center, you have to use bus or taxi for going to center. İf you come to lviv, there are other options to stay..you should find in center, i think.
Volter Hotel is located like 6 or 7 stops ( by bus ) to the city centre which is quite nearby I could say. It is a big hotel , outside the hotel looks a modern building however inside decoration and the rooms and hall are is like real old Russian architecture. there are 2 or 3 elevators and one is really small but not a big problem there is a main bus stop across the street so if you like to experience the public busses ( which maybe quite crowd ) just ask to go to the centre or Opera, 6 or 7 stops to the hotel I love Lviv it is the best modern European city of Ukraine I would love to stay again if I ever visit again Lviv wi-fi is free but the service area are limited esp. in rooms
From my point of view, it's not the best choice for a traveller because of the distance from the centre. I'm pretty sure there are options closer to the centre for the same price. Otherwise, it's ok. If you take a taxi, it's no problem. You can also get there easily by bus during the day. But in the night taxi will be your only option. Breakfast is very nice. The standard room is not big but is clean, so are the bathroom and the towels. A/C and free toiletries.
