Basic clean hotel with a small swimming pool. The staff forbade the use of a swimming ring in the pool.

Beautiful sea view. Breakfast is not included in the price (16e/person). The room is only cleaned upon separate request.

The room had two balconies, one with no furniture and the other with two chairs and a small table. I would have liked more balcony furniture so that there would have been enough seating for everyone.

The bottom slats of the extra bed were broken and the springs in the mattress pressed on the back. The big bed was comfortable. The bathroom sink did not drain properly.

Perfect location by the sea and a shop nearby, as well as a bus stop. I've gotten better value for money, but this is just fine for a week's vacation.

This was a nice place to stay. The staff were particularly helpful and pleasant. Parking can be a problem but the staff got us somewhere nearby to park for free
The room was quite small for a couple. Shower was particularly tight and we had no hot water at one stage. Our fault as it seems there is a switch for the Emerson heater in every room. Unusual.
We didn't bother with breakfast. €10 per person seemed excessive.
The pool out the back backs onto the walkway along the sea shore. Lovely place for a stroll and to watch the glorious sunsets.
Would I stay here again? I'm not sure. Would have preferred an hotel with a bar to sip a glass of wine outside watching that sun go down.
They recommended two nearby restaurants. One was closed both nights we stayed and the other was ok. Just ok.
However we called into another small hotel for a drink on our last night and ordered food. I had the nicest bruschetta ever!!

We stayed for five nights in Villa Triana late April 2015. The hotel has been completed refurbished inside and out to a very high standard with new pool furniture the whole hotel is spotlessly clean and absolutely lovely.
Our room was very spacious with a private little balcony over looking the sea the hotel is on the waters edge. The breakfast was good, continental style, with excellent omelettes cooked to order. All the staff and owner were very helpful with good recommendations for restaurants in the area.

We have been spending a week at Villa Triana as part of a large Group (close to 60 persons) who rented the whole villa and several adjoining apartments.

The stay was a great success, with the villa beautifully situated directly on the beach with a nice patio reserved for the villa's guests. Our room was at the top of the building with a great sea view and large balcony and good comfort. The staff were helpful in arranging activities and catering two evening meals on the patio outside. Both shopping, ATM and several nice restaurants are nearby, which made the stay easy.

Cleaning and maintenance was also good in general, but unfortunately for us, the shower cabinet had a crack in it, which on the next to last day lead to water running onto the bathroom floor. We alerted the staff to this, but had obviously been much better off by keeping silent. We were accused in a very rash manner of having broken the shower cabinet and were charged a HRK 1,000 penalty for repairs and loss of income.

Like other guests have reported, our passports were held for ransom, which according to other local hotels is illegal and at any rate completely out of line. In the end we settled for a reduced (through much yelling and quarrel and on the advice of our insurance company) amount of HRK 400 just to get the passports back and get out of the place. Of course, we consider this an outrage and we also noticed that several of our traveling companions were charged with items from the mini bar which they had not consumed.

Where we come from, the customer is right until proven otherwise, and even if the management should have been right in this matter, the professional approach in our view is to refrain from open quarrels with clients. It is inconceivable to us why this hotel will risk its reputation on such erroneous and petty claims, particularly considering the amounts our party had spent there during the entire week and the impact this had on our general impression as we left.

In short, we would love to recommend this place to other travellers for its undeniable qualities, but unfortunately, you stay there at your own peril.

I would have originally given this place a 2 or even 3 out of 5. We had booked a budget room, which was 60 EUR for the night including breakfast. It was a pretty decent value for being on the water, including breakfast, free wi-fi, A/C and parking. We even had some free snacks and water provided to us in the room. But several things were also not so great - old, uncomfortable bed, tiny bathroom with basically no toiletries, very poor ventilation in the room, tiny and old TV, towels which smelled damp and a general feeling of not being so clean. I reviewed this place through the website I had booked it on and gave it a 5/10 review, because it was, well, quite average.

Then I was contacted to my private e-mail by the owner, where she proceeded to go on a rant, insulting me and calling me names. Never in my 30-something years of travel (you'll see that in my profile on TripAdvisor) have I had to deal with something like this, nor have I given an unfair lousy review as I tend to think I am quite fair and thorough.

If you book here, please be aware that you may be contacted after leaving a review that was honest, but that the owner may have not liked, and she will definitely be nasty.

It was non stop problems with this villa from start to finish. We booked a studio which looked nice on the website. Upon arrived the reception woman showed us to a 'classic room'. We immediately told her we were due to stay in a studio. She advised us it was her second day and it was an error. We were then moved to another completely separate apartment 10 houses away. This apartment was of a very poor standard. It had a strong smell of fish and was not well kept. The main point was that it had no internet and did not have any of the services of the villa including the assistance (or lack of) from reception, the pool or breakfast. This apartment did not feel very safe either. They do not mention this apartment on their website and definately do not show photos as you would not want to stay there if they did.

We asked to move back to the villa like we had booked and were moved the next day back to the 'classic room' which was better than the first apartment and had the use of a kitchen next to it. For some reason though there was no bin in there. However, the pool was freezing and too cold to swim in. I only saw one other guest take a 2 minute dip. The 'beach' is not a sand beach just rocks and concrete which is very slippery. To swim in the sea you need shoes because of the rocks. The cleaners daily tried to barge into our room whilst sleeping. The walls are very thin so we were woken up each morning by the sounds of the cleaners or other guests. The owner also had a dog that barked non stop. There was a jacuzzi bath in our room that we were quite excited to use but found that didn't work. Our bedsheets also had holes in.

The women at reception were not very helpful and wanted to just fob us off the whole time. Reception was only open until 11am in the morning and from 7-11pm in the evening but to ring the bell out of those hours. There was rarely anyone available whether reception was open or not. We had to go back several times a different points of the day to try and get someone.

There is very little in the town of Diklo. There is a tiny supermarket which is very close and a couple of restaurants further down the coast. Otherwise it is a 20 minute walk to find 3 more restaurants.

Our main issue was that upon check out we were made to pay the full price of our booking despite the fact that we stayed in a worse room than we booked which was a cheaper price.

Good points were that the villa is literally on the sea front which has beautiful views. This is the place for you if you like to sunbathe or to use as a base.

This is NOT worth 4 stars!
We were at villa Triana a couple of days ago...
OK we were in the budget room but the bed felt like it was 60 years old, the matras was awfull!
The bathroom was OK...but the shower ... A tiny thing, NOT managing the water to go away.
The breakfast was messy! The tables to small! They only had 1 brown bread, if you wanted extra they had to go to a nearby shop ... The coffee also was is disaster!

Thank god we got a free cocktail on the poolside (pool that is actually the size of a stamp).

We didn't like this place at all!

We booked this accommodation via booking.com I received an email confirmation for the reservation. When we arrived at Villa Triana after a long days drive, we were informed by the owner that there had been a mistake with the booking and that there was no room available. She told us that she had made a booking with a similar accommodation about a kilometre down the road. She said the price was the same euro 100.00. We booked a Superior double room with balcony and views of the sea with breakfast included at Villa Triana and the owner said she had made sure that we received a similar room at the other accommodation. I don't want to mention the other accommodation, because they really had. Toning to do with the original booking at Villa Triana. I can say however, that the other accommodation was in no way similar to the one we booked at Villa Triana. There was a small balcony, and if you leaned out you could see the water! The room was dark, small and the bed was not very comfortable. The room was very clean and for basic accommodation it would be fine, however, it certainly was not worth the euro 100.00 we were charged. Of course after a long day, who wants to have an argument about accommodation. We just put it down to bad luck. I just thought that I would let people know of our experience. All our other bookings made on booking.com have be honoured and all has gone smoothly. I am thinking this just might be a scam....

Small, perfectly located villa right on the Adriatic with a private pool and lounge area. excellent for a romantic get away. 25 Meters from a full service market and ATM. Several good restaurants within walking distance. The owner lives on the property and the staff is simply the best! I have been coming here for over 6 years and every year it gets better.

We stayed here for two nights while travelling up the coast of Croatia, this was definitely my favourite hotel of 6.
Small and welcoming with spacious rooms and balconies, a small but perfectly formed pool looking out yo the sea.

Paradise for me.
