This hotel was the perfect choice, we booked through Booking.com any questions we had prior to arrival were answered within the hour. On arrival we checked in, no hassle. All members of staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was continental buffet style. The receptionist was helpful and provided us with a detailed map. The beach is a 15 min bus ride from the hotel, 2a out bound and 3a return 11 kuna each way per person, cash only. We used Ambrela Beach, get off at the last stop 'Verudela' and it is a 5 min walk. This white stone beach (popular) with facilities including a bar/cafe and toilets. Take beach shoes! If you wanted to rent beach beds they are 150 kuna (10am to 6pm) for two beds and an umbrella. The hotel is located next to the arena and in the heart of the bars and restaurants including all the tourist attractions. The main bus station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Absolutely loved our stay at Amfiteatar, would recommend and return. There wasn't a safe located in the room.

This is a comfortable hotel in a great location for historic Pula. It is literally a two minute walk to the amphitheater and a short walk in the other direction to the old town and historic interests. The room was large and comfortable and tidied up daily, the staff were very friendly and very helpful, we enjoyed the ample continental style breakfast. Restaurant next door very good too. Recommended.

We stayed at Hotel Amfiteater for one night having flown in to Pula ahead of getting a hire car and spending a few days visiting national parks on the way down to Split. The welcome was great, the staff were really helpful. They taught us a few little phrases and words of Croatian and made sure we had adjoining rooms with the connecting door open and unlocked effectively giving us a nice suite. This worked well for us as parents and a 19 year old daughter. The location is great, right by the Amfiteater and a short stroll to the town centre. Decent car park just across the road as well

We just returned from a weekend in Pula and stayed at the Amfiteatar hotel. A small family run place, great staff and a decent restaurant. Best rooms are at the sea facing front of the hotel which is located in the harbour and close to the main attractions.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel. Staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming - they even did some ironing for us. Much appreciated! Location, room and food were all perfect - a special thanks to Irena who was a great host!

Our return visit to Pula was a most welcome break and this small hotel provided us with great food/drinks in comfortable surroundings. Our bedroom was of a good size, bathroom also. Another bonus is the lovely harbour location is perfect for sightseeing.

They couldn't do more to make our stay better. Good room, great food and service, from arrival time to departure. Just to add, with the airport only 15 minutes from town, Pula is an ideal place to base for touring Istria by car or bus.

The hotel is in a very good position, next to the Amphitheatre, and very near to the Marina. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was large and well appointed, however during the 3 nights that we stayed there, it was not cleaned! The towels were changed if necessary, but no other cleaning, which was disgraceful especially during these times. The one wardrobe had a very high rail for hanging clothes (suitable for tall Croatians) but no hangers for trousers. Breakfast was very disappointing for a hotel of this standard. Coffee was made in a jug and left on a wooden mat to go cold. Ask for coffee from the machine! Overall we were disappointed.

The room was small and had no real windows, only one in the ceiling. The air con was very noisy and gave a smell like sewer. We are pretty sure we heard sounds from a rat/mouse from the ventilation. The breakfast was very stressful because one person had to take care of all the waitering. They forgot half the stuff we ordered.
