Despite some travelers finding Hotel More's pricing on the steep side, the hotel's impeccable cleanliness and diverse amenities, including the unique Cave Bar and various swimming options, are often celebrated. Guests have called out the spacious and comfortable rooms with their breathtaking sea views, though noise and dated decor have been noted. The hotel's prime location garners praise for its convenience and scenery, and the professional and attentive service contributes significantly to the positive atmosphere.

We travelled during the pandemic and were overwhelmed by this hotel and location.

We stayed for one week bed & breakfast. We upgraded to a sea view room in the new part of the hotel & the views were spectacular.

The food was delicious & staff so friendly & helpful. It was my son’s birthday while we were there so the hotel staff brought a cake to the room!

The pools were very quiet as so many guests swim in the sea or go out on excursions.

The drinks aren’t the cheapest but we visited the local shop and stocked up our fridge with our own.

It was 100Khuna (£12) for a taxi to the old town, it takes 5-10minutes, the bus is 15Khuna but we have small children so chose a taxi.

We walked the city walls & went on a private speedboat trip. We also rode the cable car & went for lunch at the top. The views are breath-taking from Restaurant Panorama.

The layout of the hotel is quirky, it’s built into a rock face with a cave at the bottom.

We will definitely go back.

Hotel More is located near the sea with a picturesque view. It has private beach with sun beds and several pools. However don't expect any sea shore. You can dive in sea or swim if you are a good swimmer. But it is not a problem. Hotel is located 10 min walk from the Sunset Beach where you can bath safely. Or if you like modern beaches with loud music and bars take other direction along promenade and you will reach Coral beach or Cobacabana beach. The walk will take you about half an hour.
We stayed in amazing room with sea view. It was very pleasant in the evening to sit and enjoy beautiful landscape.
The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bathroom spacious and clean too (towels were changed every day).
Hotel has free parking outside and inside (very modern with car lift).
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
However breakfast didn't comply with 5 stars hotel standards (may be due to Covid it was not buffet breakfast, there were no homemade pastries, no choice of fruits or vegetables).
In any case we enjoyed our stay very much.

We were thoroughly spoilt with this hotel! It was the first hotel we stayed in for our honeymoon and it set the standards high! We arrived early but they stored our luggage for us and explained we could use any of the facilities (restaurants, bars and pools) while we wait. Then when our room was ready one of the concierge took us to our rooms and explained exactly what lift we would need to get for where etc and when we arrived at the room we had a white bow on our room number which we thought was a lovely touch! We also had a complimentary bottle of wine from the staff to congratulate us which was really lovely! The room was large and really clean with a beautiful view of the sea which also allowed us to watch the sunset from our balcony. The hotel was not too far away from the centre but we opted for an Uber which was only a couple of £’s. There is also an area for you to swim in the crystal clear, turquoise sea which I thoroughly recommend but be aware that sea urchins are very common in Croatia so bring swim shoes with you and if you forget don’t worry they sell them everywhere there! We also got a complimentary tour up a mountain for a panoramic view of the city... we absolutely recommend this! It was absolutely incredible while stopping at a mini waterfall on the way. The staff could not be more helpful and we cannot wait to go back again one day!

Hotel More is a great hotel with the best sea views around Dubrovnik. It may not look directly at the old city but its just around the corner on one side of the bay at Uvala Lapad otherwise known as Sunset beach, and yes we found the sunsets from our very large balcony spectacular.

We were given Room 517 which is an end room and has the benefit of a large balcony with sun beds, a table and chairs, whereas other rooms along the floor have good sized balconies with a table and chairs. The rooms are large and super clean, and nicely modern furnished. Try to avoid room 111 or any room on the 1st floor as they are just above the restaurant level, but with the windows closed the rooms are actually well sound proofed.

Breakfast is a buffet which was excellent with good quality produce, even possible to make up a bucks fizz each morning.

We tried the fish restaurant in the evening, same restaurant in which breakfast was served, and found it overpriced and not as great as we expected as it has a good reputation. There are better restaurants nearby along the fantastic promenade path, such as Levante.

Really good pool area and the beds are not crammed in together, just the right layout.

To conclude, we liked it so much that after our initial stay of 5 nights we went back for 4 more nights when we returned from Montenegro. We actually cancelled a hotel with a view of the old city as we preferred the Hotel More location. Only down side is that we were given room 111. Not happy about that, but it was still really very good, if not as good as the upper floor rooms.

If we go back to Dubrovnik it will only be to Hotel More.

We stayed here for 6 nights in early September 2022. We had a lovely room with a balcony with a fabulous view over Lapad Bay.
The location is perfect, just a few kilometres outside the old town sitting on a cliff-side running down to the clearest water. There is a designated swimming area and the water is not cold. There is a beautiful walk all around the peninsula and the hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the beach area and a huge choice of restaurants and bars.
The hotel is really lovely. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast was included in our price and breakfast each morning was an event…. With a full choice of buffet food and the added option to order from the kitchen.
The facilities down at the sea are great, where there are a number of little areas that are quiet and private?
We had dinner in Restaurant More on our first and our last night. The food was excellent and was not expensive when you compare it to other restaurants in the area.
I would have just one criticism, and that has to do with the cave bar area. The staff here were not as friendly as other areas in the hotel. The word ‘cold’ comes to mind. Also, there seemed to be a water leak problem in or around the toilet area by the bar down at the sea. This was evident on a number of days and was never repaired.
To finish on a positive note, we would have no problem returning to Hotel More and we certainly will in the late summer of 2023.

What a gem of a hotel!
We picked this hotel due to it being smaller and more boutique!
It did not disappoint at all!
We had a sea view room which was spectacular and so worth the extra money paid. The bed was huge and super comfy.
Restaurant More was outstanding and the staff so attentive too including Vladimir!
The breakfast selection was plentiful and served at your table. A plate of meat and cheese along with fruit, croissants condiments and bread were served first and you could then order eggs (however you want them cooked) and bacon or pancakes.
The hotel was so quiet and covid measures were adhered to at all times.
Such a shame the UK was put on the quarantine list.
The hotel is a 5/10 min walk along the promenade into lapad where there are plenty of bars and restaurants and a supermarket.
Ubers cost around £8 into Old Town Dubrovnik and local taxis £13.
It really is a lovely relaxing hotel in a fantastic location!
We would love to revisit once safe to do so.

Really disappointed in this hotel and the entire experience. We ended up booking into the royal palm a few doors down for our last few nights and had a much better experience for a similar price. Whatever you do, avoid room 306. It is dark, dated, with small windows that look out onto a ventilation unit, there was only one bedside cabinet and the bed itself is tiny. The hotel room was kept clean but we saw much nicer hotel rooms on the website when we booked and when we asked to move and change we where told it is not possible as they don’t have any other rooms, really disappointing. Unfortunately, though we where allowed to use the facilities before our room was ready, check in was poor, we weren’t even told where breakfast was served or where to get towels. This hotel is built into a cave with a complex lift system that needs a clear explanation, something none of the staff provided on arrival. The pools are tiny and too cold to swim though this is no fault of the hotel as outdoor pools tend not to be heated. Breakfast was ok but with the doors being so open there where flies all over fruits and pastries, I would recommend covering these for future guests. There aren’t enough sun beds for the capacity of the hotel and we went off season ( end of September) . Good points about the hotel - the platform next to the beach and swimming area is lovely, it was very clean, the cave bar is well worth a visit and some of the staff we encountered at restaurant more where lovely. The area itself is incredible so I highly recommend staying in Lapad bay. Overall - This is not a 5 star hotel so please don’t go with the same expectations as us.

Our first visit to Dubrovnik and Hotel More couldn’t have been better. Every member of staff we encountered were polite and extremely helpful. We thought breakfast was excellent and so much on offer. Pastries, selection of fresh fruit, bread/toast, jams, marmalade, chocolate spread, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, sausage, cereal, yoghurts, coffee, tea, water, fruit juice and more all served at your table - we certainly had no complaints with such a good choice. The rooms and the whole hotel was spotless plus hand sanitiser at the entrance to the hotel and the restaurants and plenty of cleaning of public areas. Bernarda, Vladimir and Christian especially stood out and gave excellent service with welcoming personalities and nothing was too much trouble. If we could give more than 5 we would and are already looking into a return visit to explore more of Dubrovnik.

I booked a 4 day trip to Dubrovnik for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and Hotel More was the perfect choice! I upgraded to a sea view room in the newer part of the hotel and the view was absolutely stunning with a huge balcony! The hotel itself was absolutely spotless and the restaurants on site served delicious food. We were treated like royalty from the second we arrived, with staff rushing outside to greet us and carry our cases. There was a bottle of wine on the house waiting for our arrival in the room with a happy birthday note. The reception staff couldn’t do enough for us and were very helpful assisting us to book an excursion which we would not have managed to do without them due to a language barrier. Restaurant staff were very friendly and made an effort to say hello and would ask about our day when we returned in the evenings. I would highly recommend this hotel and it was the cave bar that really made this hotel stand out from the others. Thank you Hotel More for making our trip so special and memorable!

The location of this hotel is great and there are some good points, however there are far too many negative ones to justify the 5 star rating and price.

Good Points
The location
Staff during the day were helpful
We had a suite which was very big (but had other problems)
Restaurant More was very good
Breakfast was very good

Bad points
This is nowhere near a 5 star hotel in terms of service or facilities

No complimentary water in your room, they charge you for it (and it's not cheap)

Impossible to get sunbeds (or sometimes even a table) at the cave bar

Impossible to get more than 2 sunbeds together around the pool

Cost of food and drink at the pool bar is ludicrous, 115 euros for 4 bruschetta's, 2 fries and 4 drinks

Our room was dated and several things were broken such as shower fittings

Service at night was awful, asked a couple of times at reception for some ice and was told to go and get it ourselves from the cave bar

Hot tub was dirty, we asked for it to be cleaned but it wasn't, this is probably because we asked in the evening when the staff just didn't seem to want to help with anything

Our room was directly looked over by the windows in reception, this meant we couldn't really relax on the balcony and had to keep the curtains closed in one of the bedrooms otherwise people in reception could see right into the room

Overall just too many issues to justify the price, because of that we wouldn't stay here again, especially now that we've seen other hotels in the area that seem to be more reasonably priced. The service in the evening was more like a 3 start hotel.
