Prijeko Palace, the Isusovich-Braichi palace on Ulica Prijeko 24, is one of Dubrovniks iconic buildings. The building has a long and rich history. The noble family Isusevic-Braichi constructs the house in 1470. The architect was Giorgio da Sebenico, a famous architect in that time. The palace passed through violent ages with fires, war, depredation and earthquakes. The earthquake of 1667 was the worst; 2 floors of the palace collapsed and were never restored in its old shape. Over these turbulent years the palace was significantly damaged and lot of the valuable parts were either stripped or destroyed. Ownership of the building changed hands more times and was in 2004 acquired by Acquest doo. The interior of Prijeko Palace went through a complete restoration in order to modernise the building and bring back to its former glory, with thanks to the government of Croatia, which allows the owners to do so. Prijeko Palace is renovated to the highest standard and has regained its original beauty. The renovations were performed in close cooperation with architect Zeljko Pekovic (Omeega Engineering), the building company Vodpija and the local conservators. Prijeko Palace is renovated to the highest standard and has regained its original beauty. The impressive palace is situated on Ulica Prijeko, in the middle of the Old City of Dubrovnik. Prijeko Palace offers now a high degree of luxury and customizable renting plans in its 9 double rooms. The individually decorated rooms make it ideal for romantic getaways, honeymoons, wedding parties, exclusive use, executive meetings, hideaways... It is possible to rent an entire floor or even the entire building if needed. The aim of Prijeko Pacace is that our guests should not have the feeling of staying in a regular hotel, but more the feeling of staying at a renaissance heritage building with the services and privacy that comes with it. Prijeko Palace is the perfect harmony of the past and the present.

We chose this hotel because it is one of the few inside the walled city that has elevator. However, the elevator starts on the 1st floor so you always have to go up and down one flight of stairs. Staying inside the wall also means the taxi has to drop you at the closest gate (pile gate) and you have to walk to the hotel. To reach the hotel you need to go up several stairs within the city (see attached picture - you need to go up the first two set of stairs shown). The hotel does not provide bell service because the city doesn’t allow it. However, the lady at the check in desk helped us with the luggage when we arrived, but we didn’t get any help when we left. The breakfast is amazing - I highly recommend you include that in your stay. Room was spacious but bed was soft. Decorations are very nice. Our room had a very cute balcony with grapevines. Please be aware because there are many restaurants downstairs on the street the hotel is located there is a lot of noise until about midnight. In addition, there was noise very early in the morning (at about 5 am) when they take out the garbage. I highly recommend taking earplugs. If we would go to Dubrovnik again we would probably stay at the Hilton which is right outside Pile Gate. But if you want to stay inside this hotel is one of the best options.

Great location. So easy to walk to all of the sites in Dubrovnik while not being on a noisy street. Make sure to travel light because the old town is a pedestrian only zone, so you will have to carry your suitcases down and up some cobblestone stairs to get to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious. If you are on the 4th floor you may hear some noise from the kitchen in the evening.

This hotel was our favorite on our trip through Croatia. Excellent, very helpful staff (they also arranged a private walking tour for us with Polawalks that we greatly recommend)! A beautiful room - very spacious, comfortable and with a small fridge and balcony. Excellent breakfast. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This was a great hotel in the heart of the old walled city of Dubrovnik. It was a historic building with a great, modern interior. The hotel was well decorated. The restaurant attached to the hotel - Stara Loza - has delicious food including a great breakfast. I also received 10% off my bill at the restaurant every time I ate there since I was a hotel guest. The bed was comfortable as was the room. I would definitely stay here again.

From our initial booking in 2019, through Covid and to our actual stay in 2021 this hotel was incredible. They were kind and responsive on email. They helped book car transport and then met us at the gate to guide us to our hotel. They helped us figure out ferry information and answered all our questions. The breakfast was delicious and service was exceptional. The location in the city walls makes it perfect for exploring Dubrovnik old town and surrounding areas. It is close to everything. Such an amazing experience.
