Prijeko Palace, the Isusovich-Braichi palace on Ulica Prijeko 24, is one of Dubrovniks iconic buildings. The building has a long and rich history. The noble family Isusevic-Braichi constructs the house in 1470. The architect was Giorgio da Sebenico, a famous architect in that time. The palace passed through violent ages with fires, war, depredation and earthquakes. The earthquake of 1667 was the worst; 2 floors of the palace collapsed and were never restored in its old shape. Over these turbulent years the palace was significantly damaged and lot of the valuable parts were either stripped or destroyed. Ownership of the building changed hands more times and was in 2004 acquired by Acquest doo. The interior of Prijeko Palace went through a complete restoration in order to modernise the building and bring back to its former glory, with thanks to the government of Croatia, which allows the owners to do so. Prijeko Palace is renovated to the highest standard and has regained its original beauty. The renovations were performed in close cooperation with architect Zeljko Pekovic (Omeega Engineering), the building company Vodpija and the local conservators. Prijeko Palace is renovated to the highest standard and has regained its original beauty. The impressive palace is situated on Ulica Prijeko, in the middle of the Old City of Dubrovnik. Prijeko Palace offers now a high degree of luxury and customizable renting plans in its 9 double rooms. The individually decorated rooms make it ideal for romantic getaways, honeymoons, wedding parties, exclusive use, executive meetings, hideaways... It is possible to rent an entire floor or even the entire building if needed. The aim of Prijeko Pacace is that our guests should not have the feeling of staying in a regular hotel, but more the feeling of staying at a renaissance heritage building with the services and privacy that comes with it. Prijeko Palace is the perfect harmony of the past and the present.

We just had a six-night stay here and were on the whole very happy with the hotel. Wonderful location - right in the centre of Dubrovnik old town - but quiet at night as no passing traffic. Maybe just the odd peal of church bells. The reception staff were very helpful and

They only do lunch and dinner athe restaurant, which has amazing views, but there are so many places to eat I would just browse along Prijeko street, we had a beautiful cheap breakfast not too far from the Hotel, it was great value.

Dear TedTheDog, Thank you for contacting us. Please find the requested info below. If we can be of more assistance - let us know. 1. To the old town: ‘’Prijeko Palace’’ is located in the Old city of Dubrovnik, where no cars are allowed. Luggage can only be brought in by hand or by hiring a luggage man who will bring it for you. Please note that, for now, Prijeko Palace does not offer a luggage carrying service. Therefore it is important that you take luggage with wheels. The street is flat and very smooth, so pulling your luggage should not be a problem. 2. From the airport: The easiest way is to take the bus from the airport. The bus to the Old city, to the Pile (PEE – LEH) gate, leaves always around 20 minutes after the landing of your flight. Pile gate is the west entrance into the Old city and considered to be the main entrance. We always recommend the bus which, we think, gives a nice view of the area when going to the Old town. This costs 35 Kuna per person, around 5 Euro. You can, of course, always take a taxi to Pile gate, which will cost around 250 Kuna or 35-40 Euro. If you are coming by car in high season, then we recommend to park in the public garage, which is on the way to the Old town (hard to miss it, there is a huge sign), otherwise you do have parking places all around the Old town, but sometimes might be hard to find free space. The distance from the Ćilipi airport to the Old city is 25 Km, and it would take approximately an hour, or an hour and a half, from landing to reaching Prijeko Palace (in high season). 3. From Pile gate to the reception: The reception of Prijeko Palace you will find very easy: 1. When you go into the Old town through Pile gate, you will enter a broad street (main street) called ‘’Stradun’’. Follow the main street and enter the first street to your left because it has the least stairs (only 4-5). 2. Take the first right turn and after approximately 50 meters you will see a beautiful villa named Prijeko Palace, with a lovely little restaurant ,,Stara Loza’’in front of it and a tall grape wine as well (on the left side of the street). 3. The house numbers are 22 and 24. Enter the building and the receptionist will take further care of you.

If you haven't booked yet, I don't recommend staying at the Prijeko Palace. We stayed at Prijeko but parked our car at the Hilton, then kicked ourselves for not staying at the Hilton as well, because of the difficulty with access to Prijeko. It is a schlepp with luggage, including down and up an incline at the Pile Gate. Definitely not for the feeble!!
