People are friendly...rooms are ik. But dont trust front desk persons to understand English. I requested a cab to the airport that accepted credit cards...and of course at the airport found out this was an issue. Not fun.
Spent 4 days at this hotel. Its lovely, staff is so attentive and accommodating. Breakfast is good. Fridge in room. Nice infinity pool. Spacious room. Best part is the location --- in Lapad which is suburb of Dubrovnik. It's a one minute walk to a promenade that runs along the beach and coast line. Lots of great restaurants and cafes. 2 minute walk to Sunset Beach and the aqua waters of the Adriatic. There is nothing negative I can say about the hotel. Supermarkets, buses car & scooter rental places within a 5 minute walk. 10 minute bus ride to the old city. If you plan to stay here, ask for a room on the 2nd floor as most have balconies. I'd definitely stay here again!
Just spent a long weekend here. Hotel is quiet and relaxed atmosphere, very clean and very helpful and polite staff. Yes decor was a little dated, but wasn’t tatty looking. The breakfast was fine, could of done with real orange juice tho, not orange squash. Also could of done with extra pillows in room. Probably would of got this if I asked reception, but forgot every time I went to bed. Great the hotel having a pool as not many seemed to have one. Yes it was on the cold side, but me personally found this refreshing after a long day and it was the end of September. The location is great, there is restaurants on the door step, 1 minute walk you’ll be on the promenade with more restaurants n bars which lead down to the sea. Also a supermarket within a very short walking distance. Bus stop is 2 mins away that runs you right into the beautiful old town. Number 6 bus and you buy the tickets in the kiosk. I would happily recommend this hotel and would stay again. Thank you for making a great weekend …
The staff at this hotel are amazing, the service from the staff was outstanding all our needs were met nothing was a bother to them. The staff were friendly at all times and went above and beyond. As for the hotel the rooms they are out dated, our fridge didn’t work and we asked twice for this to be fixed, and this didn’t happen. The rules in the hotel were a bit over board no bringing outside food or drinks in the hotel, but you weren’t allowed to order food from the restaurant and take to your room either. All food had to be eaten in the restaurant even if you were staying here as a guest.
We stayed two additional nights at the Hotel Aquarius at the end of our Rick Steves Best of the Adriatic tour. Although the rooms are a bit dated, we had all the amenities we needed including a mini-bar, TV, and a balcony with table and chairs. It's a short walk to the pedestrian street which winds through an abundance of restaurants and hotels leading to Sunset Beach and around the peninsula with lots of stairs down to nice swimming spots. You can get to Old Town Dubrovnik with a #6 bus - the Pile Gate is the final stop - and there's a stand to buy tickets (from a person) by the bus stop. The hotel staff was so accommodating with any and all requests although the room cleaning could stand some improvement. The pool was lovely!!
