Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Dirty, tired, old, seen better days hotel is what it is. The only plus was it's centrally located making it easy to get to and travel from. Staff very unhelpful. Honestly there is not a good thing to say about this hotel. My advice, walk on by, do not stop, I'm sure there are better just around the corner?

As others have said this is a very basic hotel and offers what you'd expect from a 2 star. As long as you have this in mind then there shouldn't be any surprises. We stayed for 4 nights and the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was perfectly serviceable as long as you keep your expectations in check. The hotel is about a 40 minute walk from the old town and located in a really nice pedestrianised area with many cafes, restaurants and beaches nearby. A good choice if travelling on a limited budget and can temper expectations on what a 2 star hotel offers.

The hotel was generally looking pretty run down. We stayed as part of a cycling tour and one of the other couples tried to move hotel but couldn’t find anywhere with vacancies. When they asked if one of the other hotels knew of anywhere that might have vacancies the immediate suggestion was the Sumratin. The breakfast was ok, although the room looked a bit tired. The common areas were clean but stained and the many of bars keeping the carpet fixed to the stairs were loose. We had to change rooms. We could survive a basin without a plug. We could even survive the shower with a shower curtain rail but no curtain. We could probably have even survived the shower that had insufficient power to keep the shower head from pointing at the floor. Unfortunately, we couldn’t survive the broken bed. When we went to reception to change, there was no expression of surprise, no apology, just a new key card handed over. All in all, not a great experience.

Think Kevin B review on 20th Sept says it all, so won’t waste my time with review as they said all I wanted to, do will just post a few photos. Not seen a chain for toilet like this since the 1950! Lol. 😂 carpet throughout is so bad, stained everywhere. Especially in lift, but at least they have a lift. This hotel & location could be amazing if they gave it a facelift. Defo get rid of singer outside. He is very bad, old & let’s the place down. Maybe a jazz band or local guitar man could turn this around into a 4 star place.
