Amazing location! There are two hostels under this name; one located a little out of the busy center (up a quieter street); the other was directly in the middle of town, next door to everything. The rooms were large, with lockers and plenty of space around the bed for placing items. The toilets and showers were super clean and right next door to the rooms. I didn't use the kitchen or terrace area, so can't comment on those. The room was loud, but that's part of the deal being so close to town. The showers provided no space to place items, there was a soap tray in the shower, but no where to leave clothes etc outside.
Great hostel. Clean and tidy. Great kitchen area. Well equipped with toaster, oven and freezer. Nice outdoor area. Lots of showers and toilets. I didn't go on them but they had lots of planned activities. Good location right in the middle of the old town. Lots of great people and a good atmosphere!
Brilliant place. Lovely staff. Always putting things on, sangria nights, food nights, trip to the beach. Just lovely. Location is absolutely perfect too. All round decent, fun, friendly place to stay.
Hostel Angelina and Ana Marija exceeded all expectations. The bus from the airport dropped me off at a different gate and Ana Marija walked across Old Town to accompany me to the hostel. The hostel is clean, bright, great water pressure and the hot water never ran out. Their staff runs a tidy establishment and they even provide a separate area out on the terrace to hang damp swim suits, towels, etc. Cold air conditioning! Other than the absolutely amazing location was the staff booking the tours. Just decide which tour and Ana Marjia took care of the details and when I arrived at the pick up location, the drivers were waiting. Directions were always clear and precise. Old Town is a beautiful place full of history and everyone I met was friendly and engaging. It was also extremely clean. This adventure was more than I imagined and I can not say enough great things about Hostel Angelina and Ana Marija.…
My 2 friends and I stayed at a private, which is about a 10-15 min walk from the main building - very clean and prime location. Anamaria is the hostel manager and she is fantastic and so helpful right upon checkin. She puts on daily activities for the guests; so very easy to meet other backpackers and make new friends. She really cares about her guests and is just like your own personal tour guide! Definitely coming back!
I loved everything about Hostel Angelina. I stayed there for a week during the COVID pandemic, the place was super safe, clean, and the staff was very welcoming. The rooms are clean, beautiful and spacious. The showers are clean, warm, and with great water pressure (awesome). The hostel is ideally located at the heart of the Old Town of Dubrovnik. There is SO much to do and see within the city walls. The kitchen is fully equipped, the terrasse is AMAZING. I loved it, and could have stayed there an entire month. Thank you Anamarija for such a pleasant stay.
OK, if you have the money... Have them come show you the place. It wasn't easy to find and after a very long journey getting lost in Dubrovnik with all of your luggage, walking up and down those stairs, with your luggage. It wasn't pretty. I let the front desk know that I'd be arriving late, and they stayed until I (finally) made it. They were so nice and understanding and even brought my luggage up to my room (more stairs). After all those stairs and arriving so late I was starving and the staff gave me a food recommendation and solid directions. I was so grateful for that and them. They have many activities they offer nightly and I joined them on a couple and it was awesome. Chill way to meet your fellow backpackers and the staff was very welcoming. Once you get a handle of where the hostel is located it's actually in a great spot- as long as you don't have knee issues. Easy to get right into everything in old Dubrovnik and easy-ish to stumble back up after a few too many. When I was checking out, because I was totally exhausted the front desk agent helped carry my luggage up all the stairs. I'll never forget that and I'm so grateful for him! The main con for me was the situation of the bathroom/shower. It may simply be because of how Dubrovnik is but you have to go down stairs to the restroom and there's only 4 so if it's packed you have to wait... or walk down to the downstairs for the other one. If you're trying to take a shower and you're a girl doesn't necessarily feel comfortable.…
Hostel is fine, nothing special, great location (of which there are several by the way, so don’t expect the promised old town views.) Main issue was one of their volunteer employees sexually assaulted at least two women during my three night stay, and harassed a third. Clearly no vetting process for these guys who accompany travellers on bar crawls, massive caution to all female travellers.
Stayed at Hostel Angelina Annex for 3 nights. We booked a private room and we were assigned a sort of sattelite unit not too far away from the annex reception building. Our building was surrounded by restaurants and attractions. But the best part was the service. Matea is what every hotel manager should strive to be —- hospitable, helpful, and very open and responsive. Before our arrival, she already got in touch with me via Whatsapp, ensuring that we find the place easily. She also answered all our questions promptly and made adjustments when needed. I will definitely recommend this to my other backpacker friends and will stay here again if I return to Dubrovnik.
Very convenient location in old town walkable distance to shops and castle wall. we shared a 3 person room each of us having a single bed and reading light, air conditioning and shared bathroom, with wash machine. The owner made sure we had safe place to store bicycles.
