North Devon

I stayed at the Hotel Komodor for a week in October and it was very pleasant. The hotel staff were very helpful and the rooms clean. The food was typical continental for breakfast and a good meat choice for dinner. The hotel was a ten minute bus ride from the city so it was pretty relaxed and quiet.

This hotel needs desperately to be updated. It is more of a 1970's B&B.We booked a superior room with a sea view, which we found hard to see what was superior. The hotel is situated across a busy road from the beach but our view was of trees, with a sliver of the sea view through them. The room was...

This hotel is basic but its a 3 star, spotlessly clean, great location, short walk to beach, bus stop with regular busses to the old town, perfect! Could do with a fridge in room, and it would be ideal if there was satelite TV, we aren't the sort to stay out late so were stuck with Croatian TV! I would...

Stayed for a week in late October16 . First room given dreadfully small to single beds but so small not a proper size single bed. So changed rooms with no problem give a room with a king size bed. Bathroom in both rooms exceptionally small , tiny showers. Nice bar reasonable prices but they did run out of local beer...

Hotel is well located; short stroll to beach and strip for bars and restaurants. Bus number 4, takes you into the old town. Bus stop is just round the corner and takes 15 minutes max and stops right outside Pile Gate. It's much cheaper than getting a taxi. Room was okay, clean, functional with a nice balcony, adequate for a...

I stopped in this hotel for a week returning last Wednesday. As stated previously, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily. The morning and dinner buffets were fine, with a good choice. I had a balcony which gave good views over the sea. In all pleased with my short break at this hotel....

We booked to stay at hotel Komodor, but when we arrived we were told we had been moved to another hotel in the group (Hotel Vis), this was not a good hotel. After speaking to the person on reception it sounds like they do this quite a lot.

I stayed here the majority of my time in Croatia. Most problematic is the unreliable wifi. My room rate was apparently very inexpensive for Dubrovnik so I started to get nervous about the hotel whilst in Split. The hotel location is probably great in the summer months given that it is across from the beach. My bed specifically had the...

The Komodor is a lovely, traditional hotel in a perfect location. It's not a massive, impersonal 5 star resort but offers something much more intimate and personal. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. The rooms are comfortably and traditionally furnished and spotlessly cleaned every day. Lots of towels, toiletries and a hairdryer in the admittedly rather small shower...
