Nestled in a picturesque setting near the beach and Old Town, Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik impresses guests with its striking sea views and convenient transportation options. The rooms, celebrated for their modern features and spaciousness, offer a luxurious experience, though there are mentions of smaller rooms by some.
While the hotel's pricing is considered steep by many, the exceptional cleanliness, modern atmosphere, and quality service provided by attentive staff justify the cost for others. The array of amenities, including a well-regarded beach, spa, and gym, rounds out the high-end experience for visitors.

Detailed Reviews
We saved the best to last. Dubrovnik was our last stop on a 5 location tour of the Dalmatian coast and the Bellevue was by far the best hotel we stayed in. It is well named. The view from reception with its tall glass windows is breathtaking.
Our room was spacious and comfortable - well styled and definitely 5 star. The facilities are great at this hotel including the beach (with lift access) and the heated indoor pool.
The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the bustling Old Town but taxis are easy to find for those who don't fancy the walk. While the Old Town has plenty of good (and probably cheaper) restaurants to choose from, we preferred to dine in at the hotel's Vapor restaurant which is listed in the Michelin guide. We ate very well on this holiday but the Vapor won in terms of sophisticated and tasty dining. The dinners were very special.
The service also lives up to the hotel's 5 star. I would definitely recommend this stunning hotel.

+1
This hotel is amazing. All staff are super friendly and helpful, we had two interconnecting classic sea view rooms and they were both lovely rooms with amazing views. I really didn’t want to pay as much extra as it was asking to get a balcony as I knew we’d spend most of our time out and about and I don’t regret that choice at all. Breakfast was lovely. There was a choice from the buffet which is all behind Perspex screens and you ask for what you want and there is a hot menu to choose from. I recommend the eggs Benedict, cheesy omelette and the crispy bacon. All staff and guests wear face masks and there is hand sanitiser supplied in the rooms, everything felt very covid safe.
The private beach is lovely. Not too crowded, no screaming kids and the water is Crystal clear and turquoise blue. In the evenings when we got back to the hotel we sat in the terrace for a few drinks. There were different musicians and singers entertaining which was a nice touch.
Could not fault the Bellevue. It is the best hotel I’ve stayed in and I would recommend to anyone.
I cannot wait to return to Dubrovnik and would not even look at other hotels, I’d book another stay in a heartbeat!

This hotel is absolutely faultless. Right from the minute that we arrived to the checkout process everything was smooth and efficient. The hotel staff are probably one of the best that we have ever experienced. We booked our stay through SLH and our expectations were surpassed. The hotel is perfectly situated - close to the old town yet far enough so you can experience peace and quiet in the evening. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and the small touches are lovely. The rooms were stocked with L’occitane products and housekeeping left a little chocolate by our bedside every evening. The breakfast was magnificent. We were greeted by the general manager every morning and the food and service was impeccable. A special thanks to fantastic guys at reception, Andrea at concierge, Alexandra from housekeeping, Ivico who looked after us every morning at breakfast, the attentive pool staff and of course, the lovely General Manager - Sanela.

I took my husband here for a 70th birthday treat. I had read the reviews and booked it without too much thought. This hotel is exceptional. The location around 15 minutes walk to the centre of Dubrovnik is just perfect, just far enough to be away from the crowds but close enough to dip in and out of. The hotel itself is state of the art and we were very impressed by the electric black out blinds in our room as well as electric sun canopy over the balcony to protect us from the early morning sun. The bedroom was comfortable, the linens on the bed were super and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. On the first night of our arrival we decided to eat at the Vapour fine dining restaurant. The fish cookery was fantastic and we were impressed with every course. I think the thing I was most impressed with was the staff. It is an incredibly well run hotel and all the staff are beyond professional but so is their friendliness and humour. I wanted to particularly mark out Ivana whose welcome smile at breakfast can't be beaten. She is a lovely lady and entering the restaurant when she was there was a joy. I would also like to mention Robbie in the bar whose knowledge, friendliness and humour was a pleasure to be around. Mention "fashionably late" to him and he will know who I am. So what I am saying is all the staff were fantastic and I have only picked out two of the many so many congratulations to them all. I could go on and on but all that needs to be said really is that Hotel Bellevue exceeded our expectations on every level and we can't wait to come back and experience their hospitatility.

Staying here was a true 5 star experience. The staff was genuinely lovely and accommodating and we were even able to check in early which was an unexpected treat and allowed us to spend the first full day decompressing by the beach and ordering drinks. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. First class views and excellent designs in the rooms made this space both peaceful and truly relaxing. We loved our balcony off of our room and the breakfast was to die for. An excellent selection of hot foods but the buffet was also fabulous. We have already recommended this hotel to others and would absolutely stay there again. From arrival to departure, we felt totally taken care of. The location was also perfect - an easy 15-20 min walk to Old Town, but also with private access to the beach, you cannot go wrong staying here!

This is an excellent hotel, but perhaps the wrong choice for us?
Pros:
Spotlessly clean hotel with well appointed rooms, beautiful fluffy towels and crisp white lines. The beds were comfortable, views stunning and all the staff were fantastic, can’t really fault it.
It is a modern, bright and minimalist hotel situated within a 10-15 minute walk of the Old Town of Dubrovnik. The Vapour Restaurant served exceptional meals, breakfast was plentiful and all the waiters and waitresses kept the restaurant clean and tidy whilst providing a very high level of service to the guests.
Cons:
On the surface this hotel seemed to offer everything we were looking for, and it delivered. However, in our opinion there are a few negatives.
The described “Private Beach” is actually really, really, busy and very small. It gives access to the beautiful clear waters of the Adriatic but the surrounding public concrete bathing platform was not very pretty to look at. There were always plenty of towels and loungers for guests but that was on a concrete seating platform rather than an attractive beach. From other reviews we were aware that the limited, and shared, beach area was stony, gravel and rubbly.
The hotel lacks any sort of “soft” green spaces or comfortable external seating areas. Even our balcony simply had two Director style chairs on it rather than anywhere to relax.
Rooms were regularly cleaned and maintained but the in room coffee and milk was never replaced. In fact we had to call Housekeeping nearly every day for this.
We would definitely recommend the hotel for a stay in Dubrovnik as it is lovely, but guests need to be aware of some of the downsides

Dear OneCotswoldCouple, Thank you very much for staying in Hotel Bellevue and taking your time to write your review! We are pleased to read that you were satisfied with hotel cleanliness and meals in Vapor restaurant as well as for the breakfast. Also, we are happy that you experienced restaurant service at high level. Regarding the beach we are actually not promoting that it is a private beach, but some guests experience it as a private and describe it like that. We are limited with placing sunbeds on the beach because the hotel has the permission to put them only on one part. I am sorry to read that coffee and milk were never replenished. I am not sure in which period of time it happened, but F&B department is replenishing it and not the housekeeping and as they are not maintaining rooms together there can be time difference in replenishing. Thank you for recommending us, we hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you in our hotel again. Kind regards, Sanela Omercahic Hotel Director

This is a truly spectacular hotel, so much that we kept comparing other hotels on our trip to Croatia with the Bellevue and none came close. The views from the rooms are stunning, the beach is easily accessible from the hotel and there is a great variety of options at breakfast.
The covid measures in place at the hotel put you at ease with restaurant staff wearing masks and face masks left in our room for when we needed them. The Croatian chocolate given out each evening was also a lovely touch.
The hotel is a 10-15 minute stroll to Dubrovnik’s old town and is close to nearby restaurants.
100% recommend staying at the Hotel Bellevue.

We stayed at the Bellevue for a long weekend and it is a lovely hotel. Clean, contemporary and very comfortable. The breakfasts were lovely, a buffet continental breakfast with such a range to choose from and also a menu cooked to order with a great choice from eggs benedict to omelettes. We also had lunch down on the beach which was also delicious. The views from the alfresco restaurant were stunning. The staff were incredibly helpful, special thanks to the restaurant breakfast team who arranged a surprise cake and flowers for my husbands 50th birthday.
Top tip take swimming shoes as the pebble beach/sea can be quite painful without!
Would highly recommend this hotel, the walk into the old town was around 15 minutes, down hill or bus stop in close proximity (number 4 bus) for the return.

I’ve stayed in many 5* hotels around the world but Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik has to be the worst one of them all. I booked this hotel based on the Google reviews, however both me and my partner were truly disappointed with the hotel service and amenities. Unfortunately, the hotel is nowhere near international 5* standards and the price we paid was not adequate with the service.
This is because:
* There was no warm welcome on arrival. Our room was not even ready and the lady at the hotel reception that checked us in was rather abrupt. The reception staff never offered us any water or alternative refreshments on arrival, which I believe is a standard across many premium hotels.
* Once we arrived at the hotel room, we’ve noticed that the bathroom amenities weren’t replenished, for example shower gel bottle was empty and the conditioner bottle was open/broke. The carpet was not properly hoovered and the skirting boards were dirty.
* We’ve had our room cleaned on one of of the days and the bathroom amenities still weren’t replenished then. I’ve had to ring reception and embarrassingly ask for some toilet paper.
* Very disappointed with the breakfast buffet as it was rather poor and unappealing (very limited choices)
* The beach staff are not very attentive, on a few occasions my partner had to go to the restaurant and order the drinks himself.
* The hotel beach is divided into two sections, one is for hotel guests only and the other is available to the public and is rather busy and noisy. There is no security or access control to the hotel terrace whatsoever.
* When ordering drinks in the beach area, staff would ask sometimes if we were hotel guests (this relates to my point above). This question comes across offensive and the hotel should come up with a better system of recognising the hotel guests from the public (e.g. wristband).
* The staff doesn’t always greet you when you walk past reception
* There was no outdoor pool, however there is an indoor pool and jacuzzi
* The hotel supposedly offers 20% off food and beverage (once per stay), however we have never received this benefit.
* The wallpaper was peeling off the bedroom wall (room 602) not sure if it’s related to heat.
* The hotel did not seem to have a safe hotel bag storage, the luggages were spread across the lobby floor in reception area.
On the other hand, the property has a great view and is conveniently located. The old town is only about 25 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel interior is modern and pleasing to the eye.
