Dear friends, Have you ever wondered what life looks behind the walls of this city of stone? Peek behind it, and you will realize it is where your always wished to be. You wil find our, over 600-years-old renovated house that was damaged during the war 1991, "VILLA RAGUSA" in Zudioska street no.15, just in the heart of the Old Town. The five comfortable, modern rooms come with atmospheric old wooden beams, antique furniture and thoughtful touches. There are three doubles with bathrooms and two singles that share a bathroom. Enjoy your vacation in our home, which is like a majority of Dubrovnik houses built on few (five) stories. Decorated in spirit of old times, providing all the modern means for a pleasant stay (AC,TV-SAT,safe,fridge.kettle ) you will find your room to be your peaceful Dubrovnik gateway. Our family can serve the breakfast in our charming restaurant or can be eaten at close by restaurant "LAJK" at Prijeko street Allow us to make your stay a memorable one! V&P

Villa Ragusa is an ideal location - just 10 stairs down from the Buza Gate and 70 steps up from the Stradun. It sounds like a lot, but all of Dubrovnik involves a workout for your calves! The accommodations were perfect - clean, cozy and nicely appointed. We had #3 and #4, the single rooms with a shared bath - and our only negative is that we only had 2 nights there. Pero is gracious, helpful, informative and welcoming - just what we needed after our 20+ hour travel day!

As other reviews have said, this is indeed an excellent place: conveniently in the old town, clean, quiet, and with a thoughtful, helpful host, who was included in a Rick Steves video on Dubrovnik. He offered suggestions about where to eat, and had interesting stories to tell about the house. The single rooms (#3, and #4) are small and share a bathroom and fridge. The best room is #5 on the top floor. Being located towards the top of the old town, there are steps to get to it, and steps up to the rooms, so be warned. If you are arriving by ferry or airport shuttle at the Pile gate, instead of walking in through that gate and then climbed stairs to Villa Ragusa, walk beside the road that goes just outside the walls and enter through the Buza gate, which is very close to your destination,

Villa Ragusa is perfectly located in the walled city of Dubrovnik. The owner, Pero is gracious and so helpful and he makes you feel at home in his Sobe. We have stayed there twice, and i am sure we will again.

We had room 5 on the top floor. The view was great! I was worried that it might be too hot since it was on the top floor and some of our other lodgings hadn't had AC. Not to worry, this room has AC! It was lovely! It is up several stairs and there are stairs throughout the old town of Dubrovnik so it's not great for someone with bad knees. We are young and able so the stairs were no problem. There is a fridge in the room so we could get yogurt for breakfast but unfortunately it hadn't been plugged in and it must take a while to get cold. The fridge never did get cold for us, but we were there only 1 night. Cleaners should ensure the fridge stays plugged in!! The location is excellent in Old Town and Dubrovnik is such a cool city. Wish we had more than half a day. Pero was a wonderful host! We would definitely stay here again!

Pero is super nice and helpful, giving you a run down of Dubrovnik upon your arrival. He gives great tips for day trips. The room I stayed in was small, but comfortable and clean. It's in a great location near the Buza gate, so you don't have to lug your suitcases up or down too many stairs. I highly recommend.
